  • What's your pick? The screaming, high-revving inline-4 ZX-4RR with strong top-end power, packed with a lot of features and just slightly more expensive, or the torquey R7 with a broader powerband and flexible engine, but with minimum electronics?

    Excellent comparison and use of graphics. Prefer human over AI voiceover tho. R7 owner, but huge props to the ZX4RR. If Yamaha introduces an R9 it will be game over if they can keep the price down.

    I actually like the zx4rr I prefer the r7 cause why not? everybody has different taste plus the slimmer body makes it easy to ride through traffic especially if your experienced with heavy traffic plus it can also be considered as a begginer sports bike i mean yes theres the ninja 400 but like i said some people have different taste and we should all respect it

    Nice comparison! I can imagine the Ninja 650 (2020 through 2023) would be not far off from the torque of the R7 Parallel Twin shown here. Both great bikes, though for more power, higher revs needed on the 4RR by design. Interesting point about torque vs horsepower.

    4RR probably has better suspension than the R7, since the R7 front end is from a MT 07. and anybody who has ridden a 07 knows the suspension isnt the best. but i'm not paying an extra $3,000 for a bike with the same power (when tuned) and slightly better suspension. most people buying 70 hp bikes and using them to gain experience so they can upgrade to a 600cc, so they will only have it for a few years.

    Not in factory form as sold in the United States.
    Yes, an aftermarket exhaust and a custom tune will get you to the videos advertised hp , but this will boost the price an extra $1000 atop an what an already expensive motorcycle costs. With this being said, i would take a 4hp decrease in HP in exchange for 30 more ft/lbs of torque and you can always tune the R7 for power also.

    • @omanux318
      @omanux318 9 месяцев назад

      The r7 should not be more powerful than anything that pleases you, it is less powerful, why does it have fewer cylinders, it is something so simple to understand, it is not a disappointment, it would be a disappointment if the engine or The entire motorcycle was of low quality, for example, or perhaps it was a four-cylinder engine with more than 600cc and was less powerful than the R6, in short, not even a bit of logic in your comment, brother, greetings.

  • @pixel279
    @pixel279 Год назад

    What's the point of comparing these two with each other? They aren't even the same class. The R7 isn't competing with a ZX4RR, it's the replacement for the R6 that Yamaha lost faith in for street. It's basically trying to compete with a ZX-6R and Ninja 650.

    • @omanux318
      @omanux318 9 месяцев назад

      brother, what category are you talking about? I don't think you even know a little about motorcycles or at least the fundamentals, you can't compare the R6 and the R7 because the difference in cylinder capacity is just 90 cc without shifting. However, the difference in cylinders is 50%, so the zx4r, being a smaller cylinder capacity, is compensated by the number of cylinders and the r7, having only two cylinders, is compensated by the cylinder, why don't you understand it? Even a toad would understand it!!!!

    • @pixel279
      @pixel279 9 месяцев назад

      @@omanux318 I was stating about the fact that the R7 is the replacement for the R6. And how do you even figure this? You don't see 2 cylinder 1500+cc vs 600cc 4 cylinders in real races. Then there's that other fact that the ZX4R is tailored to be a RACE/TRACK bike and the R7 is a STREET bike that can sometimes take to the track. I don't see how you don't get that myself. The Ninja 650 is what should be compared to an R7. The real 90s R7 wasn't a neutered two cylinder plucked from another bike. Just because it's handicapped with less cylinders and more cc's doesn't mean it fits in the same category with something smaller. Neither of these two bikes even perform the same. ZX4R is is high rev bike and the R7 is a low-mid rev bike. I don't see the need to insult my intelligence when it's a no brainer that they don't need to be compared. Either you're troll bait or genuinely lacking yourself.

    People are brainwashed to buy either of these bikes.
    Worse is the yamaha R7. Using the SAME engine from a bike designed in 2013 which costed $7.5k, sold 10 years later in a motorcycle with the SAME design as an R6... selling for $11k. Selling like hot cakes and Yamaha is laughing cause it didn't cost them barely anything. Honestly very good marketing which only works in the USA & Canada Market. This would never sell in Europe. and if it did won't be as successful.

    Do you like an engine that sounds like an F1 car or a wet fart?

    The zx4rr doesnt even come close to “77” hp theres plenty of videos of them being dynoed at 55 hp and like 20 tq (pretty pathetic) for the price the R7 blows the zx4rr away

      Only in USA and Canada, easily fixed with $300 ECU tune, goes up to 77-79 hp
