"Why can't haunted houses run every day of the year?" FOR REAL! The only ones that are year round are those extreme ones where you need to sign a waiver before they let you in.
No. YT is just fine. If he gets involved in TV companies then he has to comply with their contracts and time constraints and their ideas. With YT he's the boss and he can actually make money by allowing the advertisers air their commercials during his videos so if you want him to make money then watch at least 30 seconds of the commercials and better yet click on them.
I love that old Pepsi machine! Lots of vintage goodness here. The human eyed hound was plain sinister looking. He seems like he would enjoy chilling with the decomposing wax heads.
Best video ever! I live 20 minutes away from Burnside. I remember back in the 80s eating the buffet at the 7 Gables. Inside was a very retro 50s -60s vibe going on. The Goody Shack really does have the best hot dogs and they have delicious milkshakes. They should open up again in March or April. The drive in is extremely busy in the summer. They run two movies at the same time. Each side runs a double feature.
Do you know if the folks that own Darcy's Ceramics are still around? Maybe you could secure that suitcase for Jacob. For that matter, someone should suggest they contact the American Pickers guys. It's obvious they are not going to reopen, so they might as well make a few bucks on those antiques. I personally like to see the old vending machines restored and repurposed.
this video was just what I needed... I miss road trips and driving through the south. Something about it is so relaxing and interesting to see old relics still around. And we got to see some cute cats and creepy mannequins lol! Thank you!!
Hi Bagger. I am C, Kristi's friend from Ireland. I am married to your Irish possum bother. He looks and acts like you with an accent. Holy Mary and Joseph help us. Lol. C from the little haunted cottage in Ireland 🍀🍀🍀👻👻👻
Been binging these vids for a month or so now lol. I appreciate seeing all these places that I might not necessarily ever get to go to. It also makes me wanna travel too. Can’t wait to see more!
I’m enjoying your channel, Jacob. I wonder if you’ve ever been asked to leave the property of abandoned buildings. It’s amazing that so many interesting things are discarded and left behind!
When I was growing up, those vending machines had cigarettes in them a lot more often than candy. The heads outside the wax museum were scarier than the peek in the haunted house.
I Just Love the heck outta your videos, man! Love you as well, brother! I enjoy feeling as if I'm visiting with you to all these little old places you visit, and it's really fun! Thank you Mr.Jacob the Carpetbagger sir!
YES! I stayed at that Yogi Bear "Jelly Stone" campground about 15 years ago. It was really nice for "luxury camping." Two twin cats at a horror attraction? I wonder if they belong to the two creepy little girls. Nice to see you back at abandoned locations. Peace.
Just wanted to say you are doing an excellent job of looking at the camera instead past it like you use to. It really makes us feel like you are talking to us personally 😊Keep up the good work 👍👍
Yeah we have a drive in close to us that's a twin drive in...each screen plays 2 different movies. So 4 in all you just pick and choose which 2. You can watch 1 movie on one screen then go watch 1 on screen two after. I love the drive in. Great vlog jacob. I love your traveling vlogs.
When kids are too young to be in regular scouts they start as cub scouts and they are in dens. Boy scouts are organized into troop numbers. Cool video. Just a bunch of vintage random stuff, but that's what makes it interesting.
That sounds like the most cringe-laden Boy Scout meeting. Like walking into a Chevy dealer to buy a car and they hand you a blowtorch and tell you start cutting fenders.
I love the drive from NC to Indiana. You just take a right and drive north! So many amazing things to see on the way! My best friend lived in Valparaiso and I loved the drive to go up to see her! Last visit was to La Porte! Beautiful!
I LOVE that old haunted house! Really enjoyed seeing a little of Kentucky today. Thanks, Jacob! I was raised in Ohio, but Kentucky was my first adult home and I’ve been missing it a lot recently!
We had a drive-in that originally had two screens,back-to-back,on the facility's main structure. Years later, two more were added, facing the main screens. It eventually closed, was demolished and replaced by a huge multi-business building.
Very interesting vlog I love to travel and see the quaint little towns as well. You don't see what they have in the big cities.I love cats and kittens too! I guess that cat is the keeper of the museum.
I used to live in Kentucky and I can confirm all of Kentucky is like this. Businesses slowly depleting and abandoned with nothing but abandoned barns and land as far as the eye can see with some fence and an occasional house.
can't wait to check out ravens cross, in cave city, ky.. I live in owensboro, about an hour away. met the owners/operators of ravens cross at vette city con '19. really cool folks.
Very cool stop. You drove rite past a huge dinosaur. The yogi bear park thing, I stayed at a yogi bear camp ground in the Colorado rocky's. It was a cool camp ground. Thanks jacob.
Very interesting video. That pile of heads...creepy! Near me, in Georgetown Indiana, they still have a drive-in that does a great business. And, I absolutely loved the background guitar music in this one.
4leafclover I remember the Ferguson it was on the west side I can not remember if it had 2 screens though but the twin drive in that I was refering to was in the norwood part of cincinnati .
In my travels to small towns, I've found that the people are either really friendly and love to chat, or they are unfriendly to the point where you expect the Sheriff to walk up and deliver the "We don't like your kind" line. Never seems to be a point in between.
“Why can’t haunted houses run every day of the year?” Preach! Also, here in Santee, CA we have a twin drive in that still functions. They do run two different features at the same time.
We had a twin drive-in movie theatre and yes they played two different movies at once. I even remember being at the stop-light just outside the drive-in with my parents and my brother and Star Wars A New Hope was playing and I and my brother started losing our minds and wanting our parents to pull over so we could watch it. They were like you've already seen it and there's no sound and we were like so we still want to. They didn't. LOL
You're such a kitty magnet, Jacob. From the looks of those sponsors, or future merchants, they should've left it a wax museum, or at least passed the creepy throwaways on to the haunted house proprietors. I wish patronizing drive-ins was still a great American past-time, but even as a kid, our local establishments had seen better days. Haven't been to Cave City since I was 6 yrs old - on our way to Mississippi, we stopped off & spent the night at Wigwam Village - still have a few souvenirs left from that visit, & recollections of the small, musty smelling lodger's teepees in contrast to the large, brightly-lit restaurant/gift shop teepee where we ate breakfast before hitting the road once more.
I liked when you were talking and you could just hear "MEW! MEW! MEW!" in the background.
That kitty is so sweet! You made a new friend! ❤️
My son wore his T-shirt to school and told his friends to subscribe. ☺️
That's so wholesome.💖
"Why can't haunted houses run every day of the year?" FOR REAL! The only ones that are year round are those extreme ones where you need to sign a waiver before they let you in.
Those Hillbilly Hound eyes will haunt me forever!! Those were creeeeepy!
You know that's one old vending machine when it has a slogan boasting about Pepsi being now sold in cans.
Also, KITTIES!!
You need your own show your content is always great
Katrina Hilliard He needs an actual tv show

These small towns in America are nice to visit. I've met some great people on some travels....
Those towns have some amazing stories

Me too im in Somerset!
Becca Stonecipher SAME. Who are you fellow Pulaski Countians? Lol!
nice!
I appreciate it Josh! That means a lot
Awe those kitty’s were so sweet! I think you should maybe take them to a shelter or something or try to figure out if their getting feed! :D
One had a collar he said so he believes they have an owner.
Kitties*, they're*
They are obviously fat(well fed/over fed) and clean and one had a collar, they are probably let out
Oh they're getting fed, I have a cat who weighs less than that and she has unlimited access to food.
Most people let there cats roam free. My male cat does and even has a cropped ear and a tattoo on his belly so people know hes fixed.
“Oh yeah, its almost Valentines Day...” yeah bud, you better NOT forget Kristie!
this video was just what I needed... I miss road trips and driving through the south. Something about it is so relaxing and interesting to see old relics still around. And we got to see some cute cats and creepy mannequins lol! Thank you!!

I used to love that museum! I went a few times as a child! Every time we went to guntown mtn, my baby sister works at ravens cross. It’s great!
Is this the new expansion pack for Fallout 4
Laughed too hard at this 🤦♀️
I WISH
If it is, it's already a million times better than 76.
Stormwatcher fuck off
I’m glad to see they are trying to revitalize Cave City and the Mammoth Cave area!👍🏼❤️
I just love the beginning of your videos. The cartoon parts logo. It's so awesome.

That candy machine looked sooooooo unsanitary
Yeah... but as a kid you’d still have pleaded for a dime to waste. Admit it.
Right? 😲
JeevesReturns you have a very good point!
And its vintage too-
That sounds like the most cringe-laden Boy Scout meeting. Like walking into a Chevy dealer to buy a car and they hand you a blowtorch and tell you start cutting fenders.
...or take your wife who is in labor to the hospital and they hand you the epidural.
That's definitely a cigarette machine with candy in it 😂 that's great

Indiana is my hometown as well. Love your videos, definitely my daily go to!
That pork pie hat fits you well i have bad luck with hats they blow off my head and normally get run over by cars so i envy you. Good explorations!!

Behind these barrels, there's a wild.......TOILET! I'm dead!
Gave you a thumbs up for the kitty!
I just found your channel and have been binge watching videos. I had a feeling you were a Hoosier at some point ,lol, we can tell our kind.😁
I used to live in Kentucky and I can confirm all of Kentucky is like this. Businesses slowly depleting and abandoned with nothing but abandoned barns and land as far as the eye can see with some fence and an occasional house.
A town near me has a drive-in theater with 4 screens and is still operating to this day! Every Sunday in the summer they also host a huge flea market.
Driving through small towns is so much fun! You never know what you're going to find...

Its so cool to see random places on a road trip. Here in Maryland in Middle River Maryland there is s still functioning drive in movie theater..

We have a few around Kansas city here, we even had a drive in with 4 screens that closed this year. Usually a double feature on each screen!

Madison, Indiana! I actually visited there in 2008. Loved the view from the Hilltop at Los Compadres. Sad they closed it and also the old candy store!
