I had a failure of the fuel pump and was just about to order a new one from Kawasaki, then a friend mentioned that the fuel pumps are manufactured by Mitzubishi so I ordered from them and it cost half of what Kawasaki were asking. :-)
after the cheap ebay pump failed, i fitted a old genuine pump that was working to get it home, but it was weeping fuel . i ended up buying a new genuine kawasaki pump, almost 10 times the price of the cheap chinese ebay pump, but guaranteed not to leave me stranded
