Try to use all the gears bro, don't keep it on 3rd for too long, as a new bike it should be put through all the gears, 6th gear is good for cruising. But overall you are doin pretty good 💯✔

I’m not afraid to upshift, but scared to downshift, even though I only took the MSF course and stayed in 1-2nd gear, (I have my endorsements but not my motorcycle yet, I heard that if you downshift without “blipping” the throttle, the rear tires will lose traction.... I don’t want to slide out and die lol 😅, can someone please explain to me downshifting in words, I watched RUclips videos on Downshifting and Rev matching but I’m not getting it..., I guess I’ll just have to ride it and see huh?

I know you’re new but those shifts are rough man, you gotta be a little quicker with the the clutch when you’re shifting through gears and being that it’s a new bike you should be going through al the gears to do a good break in and when you down shift you should rev match downshift, it’s smoother and your clutch will last longer that way, ride safe

That's something a lot of people don't know about 600 supersports if they started on one, they're pretty gutless from 7-8k rpms or below, they really start to wake up and hit that powerband around 8-9k. If you're planning on starting to learn how to ride on one just put around shifting before you reach 6-7k rpms until you're comfortable maneuvering the bike and comfortable with countersteering. Then start and push it a little harder in 3rd so you can still get up to speed decently quick, but you'll have less torque so it'll help you get up there a bit more gradually. Its all about self control and discipline and you have that man. I know this is an older video, but this comment is more toward actual new riders coming here considering starting on one of these bikes. Ride safe, have fun man.

i know it's been 3 years since this video but i gotta say, you have a good head on your shoulders, you know what to look out for and ride sensible. there's a lot of people who wouldn't make it on a 600rr... they'd either kill themselves on it or scare themselves shitless and they walk away from bikes altogether. it's good to practice slow speed maneuvering and emergency braking and all that everyday. even 10 minutes before you go on your ride, you'll be a much better, faster rider when you master the slow speed stuff!

The bike tells you when to shift. Some motorcycle you have to let out the clutch slowly/accordingly--something you have to work out. It takes time. To note, ppl who know how to drive manual cars do well with riding a bike. Patience is vital in your case.

The bike automatically starts in A, so you might have to put it in C mode every time you start. Once again, nice video buddy. Wouldn’t a ninja 650 be a better approach for beginners? I raced MX as a kid, and started on a 600 for the street, and was keeping up with the canyon racers right off the bat. Sweet bike and hope to catch you on the road sometime! Welcome to the fam!

How did the weight of the bike feel at first? Was it intimidating at first? Thats one thing I've been concerned about, as I've been wanting to get a bike soon. Im 5'11 160lbs for a reference so im not sure if the bike would feel heavy or light to me.

Great video it’s surprising to see someone on RUclips that practices good motorcycle safety considering everyone else is showing how they can do 170 on the express way the only thing I could recommend is when you’re turning the bike off to put the bike in neutral instead of first anyway great content you’re putting out!

God bless you sir this The way you should go about wanting to learn wanting to get a motorcycle not when you’re 18 and getting influence because of all your friends have them and everybody is in a race to see who has the fastest but in all reality just going fast in a straight line demand no skill no talent whatsoever the talent of where the line is cross between a veteran rider and a novice his ability to maintain situational awareness looking 10 seconds ahead scanning the roads I applaud you if every new rider was taught the way he is teaching himself now with good quality research that he’s done there will be a lot less dead first-year riders. And give it maybe two months three months he’s going to hop on that bike not think about it twice put it in gear turn it on and he’ll takeoff he gets on the highway as you know he will get on the freeways no problem he still my forget to turn off the signal But hey everyone still hasthat problem lol. Keep Truckin bro keep Truckin

I’m always scared I’m gonna steer the wrong way and crash.. hopefully it will be come a natural thing and it won’t be on my mind as much, then I can actually enjoy riding 😀 how’s you’re riding progressing?

Greetings from Germany. Hope you still have a good time on the Bike.
I have my riding exam next week. Passed theory no Problem. Already got my Bike in the Garage - a Triumph tiger 1050 from 2009. Because of my height the options are a bit limited. The Kawasaki Z900 in driving school is already too small. Just need my Bike registered. Used the time i had too do some maintenance on it. I was planning too do the basic driving tasks, that you need to pass in the exam, on my Bike when i am allowed to ride. Maybe those are also something for you to practice and do a Video on

Hey. Number one rule when parking a bike. Never ever park it behind a car. One day some one will back into it even though they sawnit parked right behind them as they get in the car. Its not on purpose. They get distracted by life, put the car in reverse, look back and don't see your bike. Smash, there goes your bike. Do your best.

You might want to use a single key
On ignition switch. The extra keys will start pitting and damaging your brand new top tripple tree with normal riding.
