    I have a 2014 F30 335i w/ 60k miles. Only things that have gone wrong are things I caused myself, messing with engine tuning and things like that. I'm running Bootmod3 tuning Stage 2, runs beautifully. It's a great daily driver that never gets boring. Done all the work myself, Oil, Spark Plugs, brakes, etc. Next on the list is water pump. I'm no mechanic and this work is fairly easy with RUclips instructions.

      Have had the same creakiness on my car coming from the piano black plastic lining running horizontally from the steering wheel to the passenger door - from day 1. When it gets hot, it creeks. Yes, disappointing - didn't have anything like this on my E90.

      @@stephenwallace5154 I'm a mechanic and the only cars that have timing chain failures are ones that haven't had regular services and driven hard whilst still cold.If you regular service your vehicle and only drive it hard once upto temperature you wont have any issues.The cause of the timming chain failure is the tentioner which fails if u have dead old oil that cant do its job anymore and cars that are driven hard again whilst cold and with dead old oil.I recommended Comma oil 5W30 (I use that on my own vehicle) which is what bmw currently are using instead of castrol.If you've noticed bmw engine oil caps no longer state castrol on them anymore.Theres a reason for that for these newer cars Comma oil is better suited that castrol.

    i have 2012 f30 320D. alloys are corroding, 120k miles and still no ABS problems, cockpit is as quiet as new. If you press on cockpit parts will make noise in new 7 series as well. Steering had to be readjusted. 1 more problem I have found with these is that rear lamps break out and need to be replaced. That is quite expensive @£180\piece. i had to replace both. good video

    I just got a 2019, 320i Estate, Auto, 30K miles. No sign of rust under the seats, no cracking sounds from the steering, no blemishes on the rims, no sounds from the dashboard components (only the door handles - if you really squeeze them hard). Actually the dashboard strips and all the cabin components are pretty firm to touch. On Mercedes C- class W204- there are much more cracking cabin sounds when driving, even on the face lifted versions. My 2006 Lexus IS250 cabin was cracking quite much, especially in the winter. I suppose - that if you press it very hard - you can get a cracking sound from everything, the thing is - not to come up when you drive the car when not pressing anything.

    I bought mine brand new in 2013 and even if it gets replaced as my daily I am not selling it, it has had zero problems to date, looks fantastic. It’s my third BMW over a period of 14 years and all have been properly cared for and 100% reliable. Like anything, if you buy a car that hasn’t been well maintained how would you expect it to be problem free. The cars themselves are bulletproof, something that cannot be said for the few cars my brother and father have owned from the VW Audi group and one from Mercedes!

    • @onkouth

      こ こ こ nope, no problems at all, the car is like brand new, it’s had tyres, brake pads and discs, it’s serviced regularly with the occasional top up of fluids and oil in between. As yet the only problem I’ve had with any of my BMWs was a jumpy CD player in a 1 Series which I noticed when brand new and it was immediately replaced by BMW and went on to provide me with great service and fun for the whole time I owned it.

Which is the rear light clusters electrical fault . Due to a weak earth cable. I have a premium m.sport f30 335d amd don't have any of the issues you have described . hello
    I have a f30 328i luxury line. My car has every options avaible on the 3 series(so definetly not a lemon). I own the car for 2 years. So everything that he said in this video is true. Almost every single f30 has steering rack problem, maybe who has 16" aloy wheel and no run flat maybe hasn't this problem. On my car i have to change steering rack(VARIABLE SPORT) The dumpers on the front both(adaptive M).The thermostat(another problem on 328i). I have to say that the quality is very very poor. Before this i own the e46 coupe an i have to say that it was a much better car in every single way

    Had to replace 17' 393 5 spokes on a 2013 F31...had exactly the same issue, corrosion around centre caps, but decided to buy second hand wheels (same style) and the corrosion has not returned yet. Also, the centre caps also seem to get those bubbles filled with water in them, not a good look... I'm guessing it's from soaps and wheel cleaners but still very annoying.

      I think they knew it will fail in 4 years...so they made you pay warranty for 4 years. I hate the bmw warranty. Kia and hyundai cover for 10 years here in USA. Go Kia - Hyundai!!!

    Sigh... I have the creaky dash in my F32. Once on a sunny day I sat in the car for an hour while parked and I could actually hear the car making various creaking and popping noises as the plastic expanded from the heat. Truly a strange experience coming from a Lexus.

    • @stubones
      @stubones 6 лет назад

      C C sigh that’s called expansion and contraction you imbecile 😂 you can’t blame the car. Most things pop and freak as they heat it cool. Ffs

      It's strange how the mentally deficient are typically the first to insult
      the intelligence of others. And no, things don't necessary pop and creak as they expand. I've sat in plenty of parked cars (I've owned 8-10 in my life) over the years and the BMW is the only one where the interior trim makes noises while parked in the sun. So yes, I can blame the car since other companies can design and manufacture an interior that does not pop and creak.

      What type of cleaning products do you use on your dash? I started using Maguiars natural shine on my rubber and my whole car creaks now, maybe you should change your detailingvsupplies.

  • @TheNondiscriminatory

    Man. You didn't even cover shit that actually breaks all the time. The corrosion under the seat is a rare issue. The wheels corroding isn't something that breaks, that's just what happens to wheels over time, depending on the type. The creaky interior, that's not a bug, but a feature. The f30 was notoriously cheaper built than the e90, to cut costs a little, sure, but mostly to save weight, due to complaints that the e90 was too heavy. only way to make the f30 larger while being a lighter was to use lighter plastics and less sound deadening.
    Sheesh.
    Okay, the actual list of things that will 99% break or go wrong on your f30 are...
    1) valve cover gasket leak
    2) oil cooler/filter gasket leaks
    3) suspension by 100k
    4)water pump by 100k
    5) possibly injectors by 100k, but this one is iffy

    These cars are less than 5 years old so they should be covered by warranty. Why are you trying to sell parts for something that BMW should cover for free?.... not cool. And corrosion on alloy wheels? Yeah that is not exclusive on BMW, see Audi, Mercedes. Actually Mercs have a general problem with corrosion on the back of all their vehicles. BMW has the least of corrosion on AI and AE customer indexes of all makers. In Norway for example that the roads are salted every winter BMW comes first on the Auto Index against rust...

      Correct, also these were subject to warranty. More common, but not mentioned are the cracks in the radio buttons. I've had my radio buttons replaced twice on my previous F30, on my F36 they are holding up so far, but that's where the 3 year warranty is for.

      hey bro i am 36 years old already.i said wagon is useless because of that if i need work i will choose UTE or VAN if i need space i will go for MPV or SUV. i thins this is the common thinking which with the evidence of that so many euro car's wagon model always got less market demand like AUDI A4 WAGON Mercedes C WAGON and BMW 3 SERIES WAGON. WAGON satisfy the demand of NICHE market NOT MASS market

    • @andydvan
      @andydvan 6 лет назад +3

      It may be a niche market in North America, but in Europe they are pretty popular.

    • @FangPaw
      @FangPaw 6 лет назад +1

      That's right. The 320D Touring (ie 2-litre diesel wagon) is particularly popular among both private and business users in the UK. It's quick and economical (approx 57-60 mpg on the official test cycle), which matters because of taxes and high fuel prices in Europe. Even my 335D wagon returns 32-35mpg in town and about 45mpg on highways. Show me a ute or a van that can hit 60mph in under 5 secs and returns that sort of gas mileage in real-life conditions.
