She’s been following us here on RUclips for the last four years. In 2020 she decided to drop the hammer on installing her very own “Laura Eubanks inspired” succulent paradise!
Most everything that you see was free or gifted from friends, neighbors and community share tables!
This outstanding “undersea” themed garden is a tribute to the innate genius that bubbled up from garden mistress Carol and her trusty right hand husband, Patrick!
A retired sea captain, Carol was injured in a surfing accident 7 years ago and found healing in the succulent garden.
Such a beautiful soul, you are in for a treat!

During the video, I didn't talk about how much Laura's videos really helped me; I told her when she first arrived but off camera. Laura is even nicer in person than she seems on the videos (which is really nice). She brought me her terracotta chicken and some Aloe dorotheae as a gift. I didn't have any and have never seen any for sale. WOW!!! Thank you Laura for all your videos. Wishing you all fun and "serenity" in your gardens.
Wow!what an amazing garden Carol! I’m slowly collecting plants and hope I can get mine to multiply so I have enough to do a nice big succulent coral reef!

Carol, what in inspiration! I wish I could have a garden like that. Western Pa is not a good home for plants like that. lol Keep up the great work. Enjoy your retirement. What a great way to spend it.
Carol! This is weird, but I think I lived near you at one point, before I was into gardening! I was 18-21 at the time and didn’t know anything about plants. In 2004 roughly. We lived on Gaylord, overlooking the 52! Amazing views. Your property setup just looks reminiscent of how ours did. Unless I’m looking at it wrong, and your backyard faces east! 🤣
I absolutely love that the best gardeners/designers always seem to be the ones with no formal education on the subject. Truly a work of art and a deed of love that exudes from people who really love and have the passion for it. There’s some God given talent and things other people pickup on that a formal education just can’t give to others. Carol, along with you Laura, are great examples of these type of people. Phenomenal garden, and it’s still a baby! Only two years in and she’s achieved so much. Great job carol! Thanks for making the world a more beautiful place.

Beyond remarkable!!! How in the world do you keep up with it all?!. It's positively a succulent Disneyland! Congratulations on such a brilliant space! I'm a bit overwhelmed with my much smaller spaces and fewer plants! You are indeed a living example of what is possible . . . but improbable for little ole me! 😁

What a phenomenal garden! You'd never guess from looking at it that it was so new. Carol, never has there been a garden I have seen where the ornaments are more appropriate - there is nothing contrived or kitsch about your tchotchkes!!! What a blessing to be able to muck around in this space every day. Just beautiful!!! ☺

Laura thank you for introducing us to Carol! OMG, Carol your creative eye in the development of your garden is outstanding. We lived in Mira Mesa from 1978-2021. And I started my love of succulents in 2016. Your property was made for your underwater succulent theme. It's just incredible. We retired and have moved back home to Arizona. We love being here so much. But my sedum clavatums, kiwis, ruby necklace, and some strings didn't survive here. But elephant bush, aloes, some sedums, parry agaves are doing great! But I can live vicariously through Laura's wonderful page. And being introduced to succulent lovers like you Carol and the woman in Mira Mesa. Thank you both for sharing your incredible succulent heaven. A most delightful 22.19 minutes.

What a beautiful garden! Carol has The Eye 👁 and green thumb 👍. You both together are fabulous, and speak the same language! Very inspiring. Makes me want to scour for for free cuttings and drift wood and boulders. How wonderful to see that all the plants are thriving with mounding. I’m gonna get my mound on!
