- Welp.
After an unprecedented entire almost week of rainy weather here in the land of milk and honey, I’d hoped to demonstrate how to handle rotting plants.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any, so couldn’t demo my technique.
Sometimes rot can take a minute to set in, so maybe I’ll have something to show you down the line.
Meanwhile, if you’re concerned about your plants, message me on Instagram with some photos, and I’ll let you know what I think.
Tomorrow, January 5, is Hannah and Luke’s shared birthday, so be sure to wish them a happy in the comments🎉🎉
I think the roots of that crested Aeonium are damaged, I think you should dig it up and cut the roots gradually till the healthy part appears. I think there’s time to save it, since it’s still a while for winter. And happy happy birthday to Hannah 🎉🎉🎉
That's a fred ivy.....if I'm not wrong
@@vedhayc4973 I mean her crested Aeonium sunburst . The one she was talking about in the video ,by the golf field.
Hi Lora I like to make a request if possible can you make a video of all the Recommended products and how do you use them to treat your plants for pests and feed
I had wondered if the crested aeonium sunburst had rooted too - especially now that the small piece looks so good!
@@shereeralph3802 exactly , Same, I was doubting a root rot or damage since it didn’t wake up for winter, but after seeing the cut piece is thriving, now I’m pretty sure. I hope it has enough water inside to reroot and live , have a good day !☀️
"I keep hoping I'll come across something rotten so I can show you what to do..." You are so funny!
"I have the tendency to gas light Greg on new purchases!"
Hahaha lol Laura your hilarious 😄
Happy Birthday Hannah. Hope your day was filled with laughter and hugs.
A very happy belated birthday to Hannah. God bless.
Had to laugh as Laura was casually looking around for a rotting plant to talk about. I go out every morning filled with dread that something has succumbed to the rain and cold (despite the fact that 98% of my succulents are still in pots and protected from the elements.) After all the rain, the next Walkabout Wednesday should be especially enlightening for novices like me.
Have loved the Lemon tree journey to finally fruiting! Well done.
Happy birthday 🥳🎉 Hannah Master Designer Gardener!!!
Happy birthday, Hannah. 🎂 ❤️⚘️🥀 wishing you all the best ❣️
Laura Eubanks Design for Serenity Rocks 🌊🌊🌊
Hannah you Rock 🌊 Love your designs 🌊🌷☯️💖🍀☮️💕🏜️🐞
That puffer fish is dope!!
Happy Birthday Hannah, Blessings of adventure, happiness, health and riches. Enjoy your Birthday.
Your garden is looking wonderful. We have had 8” of rain since New Year’s Eve with another two weeks of rain forecast every day. Right now everything is still ok. We will see. Hope Hannah had a fabulous birthday 🎉❤🎉
Happy birthday Hannah!!! I think the roots have been damaged somehow too. I feel like in the time passed that they've been re-growing too. If u cut the old roots it will stimulate new root growth for sure. Edit just realized about all the air roots the crest has thrown off...duh!!!
Yay! Hello to you, Greg and Hannah. I’m a Capricorn too, my birthday is tomorrow, the 6th in Australia. Happy birthday Hannah and Happy new year to all 🎉
Happy birthday!!
Happy happy Birthday Hannah!!! 🎉and thank you for the shout out Laura, I LOVE your “agave sun glow” ❤
Laura thank you for all your videos. I have an idea that maybe can help with your aeonium crest, cutting the trunk of the plant, maybe the old cut is not absorbing enough water (I see it has a lot of aerial roots), I’m not sure if that’s possible, so it’s just an idea 😅💚💚
Happy birthday, Hannah!!
Thank you for the video! Everything in your yard is knitting together beautifully! So colorful and happy!
Love the garden update. It’s all growing in so well. My succulents are much happier this winter here in SoCal than they have been the last several years in cold, dreary Idaho. Inspired me to get out and get after weeds on Friday after the rain settles.
That little lemon tree that could makes me happy that you worked to save it! Our neighbors have a huge one they are giving us lemons off of every week right now and it is just bursting with them! 🍋 Hoping the same for your sad grapefruit tree.
I’ve even been trying my hand at fruits & veg since the move back home and so far so good. A lot more work than succulents that’s for sure 🤣 Radish, lettuce, carrots, strawberries & cilantro all chugging along slowly but surely.
Glad to see you all are doing well post holidays!
Hello Bentley you fountain drinking succulent dog star! Great to see him wandering around the garden.
Happy Birthday Hannah
are we wet or are we wet? too bad mother nature sees fit to give us our annual rainfall within 3 weeks, but that's how we do it out here... oy! so ready to be outside and doing some cleanup but rain rain rain.. and i'll accept it graciously albeit with a bit of cabin fever, lol... your garden is looking spectacular! and Bentley looks great, love that gray muzzle...excited to see 2023 projects from you and get into our gardening season out here... Happy Birthdays to Hannah and Luke! 🥰🥰🥰
thanks for posting updates i always look forward to them
Wow a spectacular view
Happy birthday Hanna !🎂🎉🎉😁👍
First time, I have been here, I am so happy you are sharing what's going on there, it is like everything about succulents and real life like what you said "what is going on." Love a lots from Philippines.
I have a very similar giant clam shell I use as a pot as well and you can definitely put drainage holes on it. I used a Diamond drill bit. I use these to put drainage holes in ceramic, glass anything really.
Thanks for the update. Happy Birthday to Hannah 🎉
Oh dam sorry Laura I do remember the talevera cactus! Lol
Happy Birthday to Hannah 🎁🎂❤️
Beautiful as always. Happy birthday Hannah
Happy Birthday, Hannah from Australia. Hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks Laura & Greg for a great video. Just love your mangaves. Am revamping a garden and will try a mangave or two in the ground as mine are in pots and doing just so so. Love from Oz
I love all ur beautiful plants my fav is cacti I love them ❤
Stunning 🤩 I’d be out there all day!
Thanks for the tour…still drooling…..beautiful gardens…always enjoy your walkabouts
So exited for the new project!!! counting days, yayyy
Good to see you back 😊 garden looks beautiful 😊
Everything is looking gorgeous! You made me realize but I need to be out inspecting for aphids and scale. I thought it was mainly fall and spring that they were a problem. I didn't realize the cause problems in winter. I thought they were hiding out or hibernating or whatever little insects do in the cold weather! 😏 Thanks for sharing and I'm glad you don't have rot; it's all to pretty to have rot. I've had a little but realistically I'm thinking there will be more because there's plenty more rain to come.
Happy Birthday Hanna!!!! hope you have a great time and make the most of this new start in your journey around the sun ;) I love how Laura keeps referring to a lot of rain "for us" ;'D I won't ever get tiered of walk about Wednesday in this garden, it's a true masterpiece :D plus those aloes you have there are all magnificent, can't wait to see them mature and grow huge ;) only a Dracaena is missing from your garden, or a Yucca rostrata :P
that fountain is fabulous!! Do you have a tutorial on how you made that fountain? Please and thank you! ☺
Happy Birthday Hannah and Like! 🎉🎊 From rainy ☔️Manteca….have a fabulous celebration! My birthday is on the 7th! Yay…Capricorns!!!
Thank you! Will do!
Love the oranges on the tree
Thanks for the tour, Laura --always fun to see your amazing backyard...I was wondering if you ever check the bottom of that big euphorbia cutting for rot? You said it didn't have roots yet and I keep thinking about it dealing with all the rain...I have a euphorbia cutting that is a few months old, and still no roots! Should I give up?!? 😅😬
Oh and Happy Birthday Hanna!!❤❤😊
Never give up!
Happy birthday Hannah!!!!
Happy birthday Hannah from Canada
Birthday idea...new channel - DFS II The New Generation starring Hannah Eubanks.
only second time i watched since you called people haters
What’s that beautiful yellow flowing aloe in the orange pot? It’s gorgeous
No Sunday Funday? Would like to see how heavy the rain is coming down in the garden since it is rare there.
You need a shirt that says I'm a member of the "See a weed Pull a weed Program"
i’m in the north bay area!! it’s been storming hard here
I live in in the Central Valley in California. Is it ok to work on rearranging and repotting succulent during rainy and cold weather we are experiencing this month or should I wait for spring?
Best to wait for low stress conditions😊
What did you use for scale? Is gentle scraping enough? Thx!
Laura… curious about the Crest… how would you know if it was done for? Or doing better
It’s currently what I call “pouting”
Neither thriving or dying.
It’s in limbo.
Time will tell and I will share my ongoing thoughts!
Laura, could touching the scale with your hands and then touching other plants spread the scale?
Never mind -Wickensii so beautiful
Do you have to scrape the scale off before treating it with spray?
🌸
Hey Laura can I use pre amergent on succulents.?
👍💪🤗
Where do you get your fire glass?
Local rock yards😊
What zone do u garden in
How old is Bentley? His muzzle is getting really gray.
Almost 9
Just an fyi, Bentleys back leg is shaking, saw it 2 x in video. Don't know if it means anything but just wanted to bring to your attention.
She was asked that before, and said it's just because of his age--9 years...which is up there for a dog like him. 👍🏼
🙋
7:26 I think that a cactus in a hanging pot is rotten
The cactus on 7:27 didn’t look so good
Happy birthday Hannah
