He's done it for the Vikings and against the Vikings. For the Bears and against the bears (more than once)...Falcons, y'all better keep him 'fore you get got lol
He wants to retire in ATL.
He is on a 2 year deal with us. I’m a Falcons fan
lmao right? We don't want those problems. 🤣
Even did it with the patriots
As a Falcons fan I'm so glad we figured out how to use him properly. We finally did something right! 😅
Fun fact Devin Hester broke the punt return record and CP broke the kick return record both as falcons at home
Sound scripted to me but they great athletes fasho
Great fact! I knew this fact as well. Two best returners I have ever seen.
Kinda weirds me out that they both went from the Bears to the Falcons
@@flexonnembixthh7679 That’s exactly what it is The NFL always has been Scripted
Didn’t know that… 💯
This dude being mid for 10 years then only to figure out he could be one of the best backs in the sport is amazing
just all about the system. i first saw him in the backfield when he was with the raiders. happy teams made that move!
He’s always been this good just never the right spot
@@dankyew4419 precisely. I love the guy
Mid?
@@HighlightHeaven never reached full potentional. Leading him to be mediocre
HA! His first Kick Return TD was against Chicago and the record breaker was ALSO against Chicago!
And the record tie he was with the bears
The bears were involved in 5 of the first, the last, and the one with Pats against the bears and two with the bears. 5 involving the vikings as well.
Da bears
Da Bums!
It's criminal how no one thought "hey this really big fast guy that can find holes on kickoffs might be a good hb" until year 9
Been saying that since year 4 with the vikes and everyone called me nuts lol
He should be glad he wasn't thrown at RB. He'd be injured and miss a lot of time. Time that he needed to return kicks and break a huge record.
I legit just thought man why did they draft this guy he’s really fast really big he may not be the best at route running but he can run slants goes hitches bubbles like get this guy the ball he’s a playmaker also the Vikings never were creative like how the patriots and falcons have used him
Belicheck said Patterson LOVED contact, not afraid to get hit at all. Raiders and Pats and others would use him at RB and other spots here and there. I think he just had some ball security issues and kinda stunk at route running. Those Rock Hill South Carolina boys are built different… Patterson, Jonathan Joseph, Gilmore, Clowney, Ben Watson, Dixon…
@@TryPuttingItInRice he’d make more money if he was a rb. I guess it’s up to him if he values money or the TD record more
One of the best pure athletes to play the game. Built like an Abrams tank and runs like a gazelle. I wish he switched to RB earlier in his career.
If you built a player from the ground up in real life create-a-player that would excel at whatever sport he chose to play, you’d build Cordarrelle Patterson.
He’s to tall/runs to high to be a full time RB. But he needs to be on off 10-20 plays a game with about 10 touches
So you gonna pretend Taysom Hill don't exist? 🤔🤔
he's too tall for a rb man
@@densonjc they said the same about Derrick Henry, and look where he is
@@hughjayn1s henry is VERY different than patterson dude lmao
I’m so happy this man got his ring with the patriots, he definitely deserves it and many more 🙌🏼
Oh snap fr ?
@@bigdawgteezteez3814 yeah SB 53
He's going to get at least one more. I can feel it.
@@AuntieL_ATL not with the Falcons, maybe if he share's a locker room with Mahomes but idk man
His vision and ability to find gaps in the return is insane. He has the record now, but I could see him getting at least a couple more by the time his career is over. It’s all high football IQ
Why could he never run routes tho
@@rohanthandi4903 cause hes not a wr hes a back
@Rohan Thandi bc kick returns are all improv. Seeing space, creating space. Once the first block is done, the rest is just chaos, running routes ain't the same.
Wow!!! As a Falcons fan, I love it. For a dude that size and that strong to be able to turn on the jets like that is impressive. The GOAT amongst Kick-Off Returners.
Ehhhh devin hester was better but Patterson is for sure a close second
@@virific76 More yards and tds on less returns than Hester you’re drunk sir
@@virific76 Ehhh.... Patterson has the record. Hester is the greatest punt and overall kick returner because he's got 14 and 5 TDs, respectively. That's why I literally said CP is "The GOAT amongst Kick-Off Returners". It's a different beast. You don't return punts for 109 yards.
As a jets fan I can agree he’s a turn on.
@@Tiblious 😂😂😂
I can't get over how much of a cinematic masterpiece the camera-work is in the saints/bears return
fax that is kinda sick
Future Hall of Famer for sure. This man has a kickoff return for every team he has played for is incredible. On top of that he has scored against all of his former teams which is remarkable.
He played for the raiders, so not quite
Hof? Bro slow tf down 😂
@@raiderr5632 he returned one against the raiders
@@truzzprod.8191 he will be
@@truzzprod.8191 if Devin Hester got in then so will Cordarrelle, you’re buggin if you think otherwise, more kr td’s and better all around wr/ hb stats
So much fun to go back and watch these and any kickoff return for a TD since it seems like returns are becoming more rare with kickers kicking it out of the end zone now. Phenomenal talent.
He’s returned 4 in Soldier field and no more than 1 in any other stadium. All 3 he returned in Vikings home games occurred in different stadiums, as his Vikings stint spanned their transition from the Metrodome to US Bank Stadium. He hasn’t returned one in a game not involving the Bears since 2016
This is the specificity I crave in my sports stats.
@@hiimemily it's so interesting how players and teams do well in certain places, or against certain teams. Like, the Giants vs the Cowboys, last 10 years, it seems like the Giants will always lose. Same with the eagles, the Giants record the last 10 years is awful. I know part of it is both those teams were just better in a lot of the matchups, but at a certain point I'm thinking there's more to it than just that.
Maybe not the best example, but it's definitely interesting to see how over time there are patterns that emerge that expose the layer beyond just "who's better" and becomes more about the other, smaller, but just as important variables.
I was at the falcons bears game (as a falcons fan) and this was awesome! CP is awesome and so likeable!! Rise Up

You're a saint
As a bears fan he did it to us on almost every time he’s played for. It was very nice to see him do it in a bears jersey nothing but love and respect for this dude
His ability to change direction in split second without slowing down his pace is incredible.
I absolutely love how he is straight ahead, hitting north and south not doing all that side to side dancing. CP is one of my favorite players! So glad he’s with the Falcons
I wouldn’t loosely use that nickname lmao.
Great video! What a football player, never heard of a special teams players slash wide receiver turned running back. Amazing!
Devin Hester did it. He played Corner as well
@@danieljagielski1126 Devin Hester never played running back in the nfl
@@johnathansmith1764 he was an option back on a couple plays when Cutler was fairly new to the team
@@danieljagielski1126 He was never listed as a rb nor was he successful at it
@@johnathansmith1764 it doesn't matter, he still lined up at RB
Special Teams are my favorite part of football. Very underrated part of the game.
Just a phenomenal player man. He really is. I wish the Packers went after him before he signed with the Falcons. We needed someone like him.
Our org is so ass lol we would be in a great position rn if we made some trades and signed some good players in the past few years
As a bears fan, god I love this man. I don’t even care what he’s done against us. I just have a thing for good returners
There is no way they can deny him a HOF spot now.
If they do I'm pretty sure canton's gonna have a bit of a riot
they gotta let hester in first.
A lot of people are ahead of him
In my opinion all players who've broken a positive record should be first ballot HOFers
His all purpose stats are wicked. Hes also sitting on 7 all pro selections (4 1st team, 3 2nd team). With an all time record. His resume is HoF worthy in my book.
I remember Cordarelle at Tennessee, after his first few years in the league I would go rewatch his college highlights one because they were amazing, and two because I just knew that there had to be a way for him to be utilized in the nfl with that kind of agility, speed and size. I think he is setting a prototype for guys with a similiar build/skill set to switch to running back if receiver isn’t working for them. I think Jalen Reagor might be able to do something similiar but I could be wrong.
Cordarrelle is a beast. So glad to have him in Atl
Hester broke the PR record in ATL, Patterson broke the KR record in ATL
The last one was most impressive imo...
The speed he showed, after all these years, was amazing!
(The oe against FB was nasty also)
Man I was upset when NE got rid of this man. He really was doing it all. Still is.
Loved him for his short time with the Vols. Wanted him on my Patriots but never thought itd happen so when it did I was ecstatic. Happy we won another SB with him in the team.
So BIG (height), so POWERFUL to run so FAST! Love his upright running style-Very reminiscent of the legend Eric Dickerson 💪🏽
Lol Huntley smacked the shit out of his head at @8:46 🤣
His top speed on the Vikings was something else. He just accelerates so fast and burns everyone. It's not even close.
as a minnesota fan... we took cordarelle for granted, knew he was a beast at returning but we should've used him way more in our offense. glad to see he's finally garnering more attention
zimmer was too bull headed to work with him . just like the all pro place kicker he ran off .
Its even more impressive because how they changed the kickoff rules
Devin Hester walked so Cordarrelle Patterson could run
Devin Hester is still a better returner lmao.
Devin Hester is the greatest returner of all time - he just happened to mostly do punts, not kicks.
I was surprised this was the record after watching Hester.
@@mlguy8376 Hester only has 5 KO returns
@@mlguy8376 Hester is the best punt returner Patterson by far is the best kick returner
@1:55 you can see the viking mascot will him to return it that deep lol
It’s actually hilarious that he returned some for the Vikings and against the Vikings, as well as for the Bears and against the Bears. Legend.
5 of these were at bears games
Just imagine he stayed in Minnesota with the new coaching staff and the things they could do with him. Super happy for this dude and miss having him in Minnesota.
Vikings always draft some of the most interesting players. Before CP there was Percy Harvin. I loved watching PH playin. he’s tied with CP for Vikings most kickoff returns.
Crazy part 5 of those 9 TDs were either against or with the Chicago Bears
i remember picking him up in fantasy his rookie year cuz he was going crazy in a pre season game and i swore he was gonna be insane which he never really was but, i always have a special place in my heart even as a bucs fan for cordarrele cuz i felt like i was in the first group of people rooting for him lmao. Happy he got a place in history with the Kick returns. Such a beast
Good Stuff big fella we glad he's a DirtyBirds to his career 👍🏾 👏🏾 💪🏾✊🏾🤜🏽🤛🏾
What's really amazing about breaking this record these days is how many kicks are deep in the endzone. I wonder how many mph he can run?
Bro I feel like I haven’t seen a video from you in forever
Welcome back king 🫡
😂 where you been
As a Vikings fan im glad he’s still doing his thing!! Hopefully he gets double digits… just not against us 😂
awesome happy for Cordarrelle
i watched every single game that Patterson played when he was with the vikings. He was literally Percy Harvin 2.0. Also, did i notice a 50 yard line high step in there somewhere? wonder who he was saluting with that one 🤣
RIP nfl kick off return I’ll always remember this style of kicking off
Unless they change the rules, he's gonna hold that record forever.
One of the most underrated running back/ wide receivers/ kick returners ever
Best Kick Returner Ever.
Close. Don’t sleep on Leon Washington or Josh Cribbs.
@@AClaiderman Loved watching Leon (as a Jets fan), and Cribbs was great too. Neither compare to Cordarrelle Patterson. He’ll be in the HOF some day while these other two will never even be nominated. Just my 2 cents.
@@AClaiderman love how you guys just left devin Hester out of the playing field 🤦♂️😂
@@ramneekkumar4065 He’s an overall returner. Not just kick.
@@AClaiderman yeah but he in mu opinion is the greatest kick/punt returner ever
My brother played with him when he played for Hutchison. Outstanding player!
I like how punters and kickers fall just for the effort 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The bears are all over this mix tape
Miss him in MN! He was electric!
I was in the building for that last one... This dude is AMAZING!
Dude even has a return on every team that trades him
The way he blew by those Raiders is jaw dropping. Zoooooom!
3 TDs against Chicago (with 3 different teams!) and 2 while as a Bear - that’s crazy. Can only imagine how many he’d have if 80% of KOs weren’t out of the end zone or if the new KO rule had been in effect!
hell of a splash by a guy that was an extremely raw WR coming out of Tenn to the Vikings. I love that 5 of the 9 happened in Bears games lol 2 for the bears and 3 against. I was frustrated that the Vikings let him go, due to his return capability and he was very good at the screen game. I am happy he has found his way this long in the NFL, he has always seemed like a good dude that works hard. This record may stand a while, unless the new Vikings return man can keep going (3 in his first year and a half)
the replays on point fr
Most people don’t even know Cordarelle didn’t start playing football until 9th or 10th grade 😅 South Carolina has the most athletic athletes lol
He gained some weight and lost some speed but his acceleration burst is still insane
I’m a Vikings fan and I loved Patterson when he left it really was a bummer but literally we got a good replacement that returned a 93 yard TD on thanksgiving.
Definitely electrifying!!
Hard to find the rite fit for a guy like Patterson. So much raw talent. Jus had to find ways to get the ball in his hands and letm work. Comn outa college he wasnt the typical run routes n catch balls typa wideout. Hes like a thorough bred...open the gate and letm run!
The longest kick return for TD in NFL history, longest missed FG returned for a TD in NFL history, the longest TD run from scrimmage in NFL history, the longest TD reception in NFL history. All at the Metrodome. Many are tied for the record. But still impressive stat.
Highfiving your teammate as you walk the ball in the endzone is just extra levels of "fuck you" talent
He is the best kickoff returner of all time Devin Hester and Deion sanders, rank higher than him for returners, but in kickoffs, he is the king
Truly amazing
Cordarelle is so fun to watch run. He’s reminded me for awhile of Eric Dickerson, but a little faster. Grats mr Patterson nfl record
he has an uncanny ability to foresee the field develop
This freaking FLASH, has always been the shit to watch..Anytime he gets the ball, its like high anticipation/suspense in a sense?? Cus you know he is ganna make magic with that football. Patterson is going to outclass many of the NFL legends in the hall of fame. He has already in a lot of ways. He is a straight up beast on the field!
Chicago misses him. Dude was a beast on returns, doing Hester's legacy proud.
To have the announcer call it a touchdown return before you even get past the 50 yd line, speaks volume to how much speed you have.
i think his one for the bears is the best. i just love that camera angle
If he had enough brain power to understand offense and what the coaches want from him the sky would be his limit, but he’s just raw talent.
Started HIS streak against the bears and broke THE streak against the bears
Loves to do it against his former teams, gotta love it🔥
8:42 deffly hadda catch the fade wimme for dat dont smack my shi off now💀
Straight North South running harder than a freight train none of that juking east and west tryna get outside everytime and it worked for him that man is a return god
That touchdown cemented his HOF candidacy.
Patterson is that one player that he really isn’t a position he’s just a weapon get this guy the ball somehow someway
Representing them Tennessee Vols baby! GBO 🟧⬜️🟧⬜️🟧⬜️🟧⬜️
Hester is a legend… Patterson is unbelievable
Seems like an unbeatable record now
I miss him on the bears. Really loved those electric plays.
8:46 I just got a kick return! I don’t mind that he smacked me a couple times there 😂
*one time 😇 CP#84 THE FLASH
The most impressive play in the game, done by a most impressive player.
I work for the falcons. Before the bears game I was on the sideline helping set up pyrotechnics for the player entrance. CP was running through the tunnel I was next to after warming up and threw one of his practice gloves at the crowd but they fumbled it and it landed at my feet. I had to make a split second decision and my boss was standing across the tunnel from me. I tossed it back up to the fans and I have felt the regret hard ever since.
He’s so big. Looks like Derick Henry running kickoffs
The fact that he is going to make hall of fame for kick returns is crazy 😂 then on top off that he has been going crazy running for the falcons I tip my hat to this dude and yu can tell he's not the fastest he's just shifty as hell and has great visions
Side note if he fumbles next time he touches it he's taking it to the house 😂
Nother side note the raiders should have kept this talent it just makes no since to give this guy up and that goes for any team
Goat🦅🔥🔥
Greatest kick returner ever 🔥🔥🔥‼️
That fly cam on the Saints Bears one was fucking awesome
As a vikings fan when he left us I was so pissed. We never used him right but my God I wish we could have him in our current offense
VOL FOR LIFE BABY!!!!!!!!
@5:28, that referee said,”Mannn get your ass across that goal line. We got a game to play”!!
i unknowingly watched history being made when i saw this live on Sunday.
I remember an announcer this year said he wouldn't get the record due to the rule change and then he gets the record later in the season
