As someone who’s grown up visiting this church and has so many memories here, it’s always going to be The Crystal Cathedral to me. I’m so glad to see that the grounds and everything still looks pretty much the same. This was a blessing to watch.

I used to live in the apartments next door. We literally were in the apartment on the other side of the wall that was adjacent to the grounds. Sometimes we could hear people practicing bagpipes.
The interior has lost a lot of its beauty, the building is just not suited to be a Catholic Church. Though I suppose the conversion is probably about as good as could be done in the circumstances.
preferred his original " drive in church " schuller did not know when to stop expanding . seems to have become intoxicated with fame and money. ..... was his downward dive into bankruptcy .
never did. ..... always seemed as a self glorification of schuller 's ..... lost its original intended purpose when he kept adding and over buying adjacent properties . left a sour taste to many residents of garden grove . bankruptcy was inevitable
To me it will always be Dr Schullers Chrystal Cathedral. It was and is stunning. Hi from Pete in Canada . One day I may go back. I loved watching him too.
