Another great informative video! As with any mower you buy for what you need it for. That's why I bought my Ferris mowers for my rough uneven terrain because I needed that suspension. That track mower serves a purpose and you went over that. I agree $13,000 is alot of money for a mower but per your example of the homeowner with the steep embankment by his pond that mower is a life saver for him! Nothing like trying to mow that area and ending up rolling or sliding off into the pond lol

We have a property with significant mowing challenges. We're currently using a Scag vride 2 stand on mower. It's a great mower for 80% of our property but the remaining 20% is very difficult. Altoz caught my eye a couple of months ago. I think a track system, although expensive, will allow us to do 100% of our property safely and reliably. I will need to look at this further. Thanks for the videos on the topic!

Wow! Much enjoyed your videos & smooth narration. Great camera work too! Will tell my son & D-n-Law about yur channel. Several points u make will be appreciated. Your grouping of mowers by price (under $5000) was fine, got my attention. Moved to yur channel list, saw Yanmar then this Altos zturn with traks for~ $13,500! You have serious machines & excellent detail reviews. Carry on Sir!👍👍👍🍺

It makes me wonder what is the most common maintenance replacement parts would it be blades, belts and or what ?, I know the warranty can be good if you give it a chance, but it just makes you wonder what parts are under warranty, because there are no extended warranties, it's very apparent that as in lawn mower dealers make their big money after the warranty runs out, that's when a 50% warranty should come into effect, the customer already bought the dam mower, the warranty discount is good to have, but something never go bad until after the warranty runs out,

I am concerned about it throwing a track which happens even with torsion track suspension. You did not cover that in your video my experience with this in the Military using that suspension validates my concerns. But that suspension is an awesome ride for sure on all types of terrain and it makes for a great ride especially with that seat. I wish you would have used a 7 gauged deck at least 5” deep allowing for a better cut and rugged deck. This looks promising but unless you are cutting a couple of acres with hills the price is too high you can get a professional level Spartan that does all of that at a cheaper price.

I actually prefer the height pin and key ignition. The selector knob and keypad are just unnecessary fluff that add more complicated failure points IMO. I'm also surprised at the ZT3400 Trans. This is probably one of the heaviest 54's on the market and if you take into consideration its design purpose the 3400 seems way underwhelming. Especially when most of the competition has the 5400 in their 54's.

Writing out a check for the given chunk of money, either have a really good income and have a lot of money saved back, or pray for the win of good pile of lottery money, fortunately the customer that wrote out a $13,000 check for demo zero turn lawn mower, the presentation perty much sold that mower, how lucky can you get,

I could justify anything if the design was a lot better and the money were better handyness ,I think all the rest of the market of the zero turn lawn mower's should have the tracks system on ,they make a hell of a lot more sense,

I don’t have an aoltz, but I bought an exmark lazer Z HP in 2002 for $7200 and am still running it to date, with no regrets. in the first years I did some commercial cutting to help pay for it but it’s strictly been my personal mower since 2006 with a little charity cutting mixed in. my point is the longer I keep it the less it costs me to own it, of course going above and beyond with the maintenance is what I attribute to the reason that I still have it, a although in the last 3 years I’ve abused it by using it like a bush hog about 5 hours a year. I don’t know how many hours that are on it because the hour meter stoped working between 300 and 400 hours and that was in the first 4 years of ownership. My next mower will be an Aoltz with a all terrain deck. I don’t think that you will regret getting one particularly if you treat it like a long term piece of equipment, although it’s very likely that they will hold their value if trading up to a newer model is what you want to do a few years down the road.

ferris rides better and cuts better...altos is only good for cutting grass on a wet property or on hills
