  • I hope you have enjoyed the video. Actually since filming this video, I have reached the threshold for monetisation so I might now start making a little bit of money which I'm very excited about.

You are really getting into the swing of things at Uni. Enjoy Dune Messiah. Keep up the good work. Liked all the off topic stuff. 💯

love for the mushy peas 💚 I'm also autistic ☺I am learning bsl and struggle with verbal communication, I would love to be able to see more visibly your signing if you are able to show it another time, I can see you're signing but the angle doesn't let me see all of it and that would be awesome to see if you're able to share it :)

Yes, absolutely, I really struggle with speaking and signing at the same time, but I thought I would make some videos telling stories using sign supported English really slowly for people just starting to learn sign. Do you think that would be helpful?

@@nellefindlay Thank you for your reply! Signing alone would be helpful and interesting from my perspective, if you feel comfortable to and if that doesn't take too much energy to do. I also find signing and speaking together doesn't make sense for me. I think the structure of British Sign Language is important and I would happily have a go to understand that alone. I am really happy to see any signing so what ever you decide I don't mind really. :) If you find you're not able to or don't feel like it that's also okay.

I must not know much about Autism because you seem much more put together than myself , and I don’t have autism .

The autism spectrum is huge, I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome (which used to be a separate diagnosis for people like me who have autism symptoms but with normal language ability and no intellectual disability) but now whoever decides the diagnoses have combined every presentation of Autism into one diagnosis. So, basically, I am a lot more able than many people with Autism.
Also, I'm not this put together naturally, there is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes. I have around 3 hours a week of support sessions to specifically help me manage everything at university. I also have to follow a very specific routine so I don't have a complete breakdown. There is a lot of management required, but if I have the right accommodations, my autism is mild enough that I can live a pretty normal life.
Obviously, there is also a selection bias as to what I put online. I'm not going to film the days that are a complete disaster and put it online because that would be weird. As the quote goes 'Don't compare your behind the scenes to someone else's highlight reel.' I try to be authentic online but I draw the line at filming my biweekly snotty crying video calls to my mum about the bus timetable being wrong or some other random thing that has caused a minor breakdown. Please don't feel like I'm perfect or something because I'm really not!
