I'm struck by the way Sting sings this song, often with his eyes downward in a way that feels humble and reflective as befitting the nature of the song. Rather than making a Facebook entry wondering why so few cared, I make my note here in remembrance of those true heroes in our country who rose up on 9 -11 and who made their way into the Heavens while striving to rescue their brothers and sisters gone before them. Lets sing of rising and resurrection. The very first time I am seeing this broadcast. And it looks to me like Bruce Springsteen's eyes actually "melt" with appreciation for the magnificent performance of his tune that Sting brings forth. Just don't even get better.

His history as a musician encompassed so many different areas from let's kill Stewart Copeland through jazz though Elizabethan music .... of course I respect both musicians!!!!! If I'm not wrong I think Barack Obama and Springsteen have a book coming out Renegades which is not out in my library yet based on a podcast together. The way he humoured Seinfeld no apologies for not appreciating comedy ... about nothing ... Netflix comedians in cars with coffee etc. was hilarious. "You realize there are men with guns out there protecting me just in case you go slightly too far" I am paraphrasing big time will rent again to check it out, cheered me up. best wishes!!

Love the shot at 2:25 where you glimpse he's been holding his wife's hand during the performance. It clearly meant a lot to both of them. Further layers to the song have been revealed over the years as we've since learnt of his ongoing battles with depression.
