      Hello Archy...It's a significant investment, but long term the costs can be quite low. More importantly, we've got many months of water stored in case of drought, etc.

    Awesome. Living off the grid is the best one can do as we approach the final days of earth's history.

    Wonderful video, thank you. Since you are off grid does that apply to electricity as well? If so how are generating it?

      Yes. For nearly ten years we’ve powered our various residences with 100% solar power.

    My brother and sister please share how you maintain the farm; from watering the plants to mowing the lawn to planting. Do you do it on your own or you have help?
    Also, you aren't getting water from the municipality right? How do you start that whole process of being independent water and electricity wise? Its seems so tricky but we are always willing to learn.

    I have a question, how do you deal with waste? Do you recycle? Do you compost it? . So far I've seen compost toilets and food waste for the garden, but the remaining garbage, is something I've asked God to reveal to me.

    could you use food-grade hydrogen peroxide instead of chlorine?

    • @AlohaCountryLiving
      @AlohaCountryLiving  4 года назад +1

      Re: hydrogen peroxide. There are people doing this (can google it). I don’t have any experience using it though. Keep in mind that with the right filters, the chlorine will be removed. Here some helpful information to read on rainwater harvesting. Best wishes, Ryan www.ctahr.hawaii.edu/oc/freepubs/pdf/RM-12_revised_Dec2017_redactedJan2018.pdf

      Hello Rosalind. I'm thankful you have a generator to use for now...and yes, fuel is costly...and so is the hookup fee for electric.
