Last winter to now is a year. But since u claim it's already 6 months then u should check the label or box to see if it last how many months. Many vit c only last 2 months after opening. Most serum last 6 months after opening. By opening i mean first time you open it. Some people buy and open n test it because they need to leave review or confirm order delivered. Then after many months they open to use the product. The shelf life of their product is from the first day they open it.

SA isn't too expensive actives so i will highly recommend u to replace with a new serum. Also we do not need to buy expensive item for active like SA and HA. We can spend more on vit c and retinol or peptide because these actives are more sensitive or unstable so invest on a good formula is required. I also won't open my new beauty product until i use up my old. I even enter the date n time I open it on my phone memo so i won't use expired stuff. But usually most of my skincare finished before it expires. Those not suitable i will sell off on carousell or use on my body as soon as i notice its unsuitable. The only item that turn bad before i am able to finish it are my vit c serum. I even store mine in fridge but i really cannot finish using a 30ml bottle within 2 months. I do think my cosrx c23 is still workable after 2 months usage but i still replace it as i buy it during shopee sale at around S$14. I judge it this way. S$7 a month for a good active it's worth this small investment. BTW i stop using those over the counter retinol too. Actually most vitamin c have an odor. Some people call it meat odor. Those that smell good cos they add fragrance to it. Have u heard of "dian di test" aka drop test mentioned by China seller or Korean seller cosrx show video of using iodine to test our vit c?
