I love how in most of their songs at like the last verse there is so much power and feeling.... Like it really makes me connect to the song on a deeper level.

At first I really couldn't understand what he was trying to say, but when it reached the end it felt like something clicked and I was suddenly filled with emotion... I'm still not sure exactly what he was singing about, but I feel his emotion reached me, and I think that's really cool! Definitely a great song!

If I recall correctly, at 1:28 the lyrics "Hotaru mitai da ne?" is also a quote from the Ghibli film titled "Graveyard of the Fireflies." Sad movie, but it's really good, would recommend :)

You're not? Maybe I should have explained it a little more... It's about the bombings of Japan during WWII, and the children who experienced them. At the end, he talks about how the Japanese people don't care about the war now because it was so long ago, but it's something that will always affect them and they can still feel it in their hearts.

My best guess is that it might be a reference to a folk song or children's song that people in Japan often sang during the war. So, the mother would be singing it as she rocked the child, and the children would sing it too.

Okay Just wondering does the di yu da ri ri ru da ri ra part mean something? or is it just filler like "Lalala"? Would love to know because I'm really curious o.o

Hmm, I'm starting to think it's a sound filler, Not like "lalala" but more like, Some sound, He says "A back that rocks goes, A mothers heart goes." So as in they die? Maybe the sound is their heart beat, Think about MRI machines, They go "beep.. beep.. beep.." yet with a heart attack or fast passed beats it's very fast and almost matches how fast he sings it. OR - It's the sound of the "Firefly." flying around. o . o (Honestly I don't know these are just my thoughts)

As a Japanese speaker, I want to note that プール開き is puurubiraki.

And as someone who speaks English, I would like to point out that a speaker is a device used to play sounds from other devices, such as a computer or TV.

+TapsForPinkMana That is only one definite of "speaker". If anything, it is the newest meaning of the word. The primary definition of "speaker" is someone who speaks. TapsForPinkManaさん、本当に英語大丈夫?
      辞書を引いてみたらどうですか?
