Tench is a difficult one. I've only caught one in my life...but I'll check out how to target them. Thanks for the tip on salt dried Roach.

@@howtofish5051 Tench was my first-caught, fresh-water fish. I caught it pole fishing with gentles (maggots) as bait. This was overseas. Also caught a lot of Roach that day. Smoked Tench is tasty. 🙂👍

Seems there are heaps of Roach in Pykes Res

There's a mixed bag of fish at Pykes. If you go with light tackle and small hooks you can catch a few roach.
