I would love to find a project like this. I am in my 60's and a retired lorry driver. I dont have a car now and always looking for a littler electric project to tootle around on. I used to bnuy cheap 50cc mopeds and repair / restore them but they are getting too expensive as people want top dollar for them. Been looking for a cheap mobility scooter but none around. Love this one. Looks like a golf kart in style.
That’s brilliant, it’s a single seat golf buggy hence the wide wheels, worth a lot of money running with something similar to the original golf bag rack fitted in the back
Hi Adam, I like it if any one can get it to work it will be you if you do get it to work it will b e great about the yard and mrs man cave can drive it around when you go on your steam rally. You take care of yourself and stay safe.🛠️🛠️⭐️👍
Hi man cave need your help restoring a Honda ride on and the plastics are fairly faded is there any polishes or best thing I could do any help would be very helpfull many thanks
The most expensive bits for it would be 1, the batteries 2, the speed controller which I hope didn't get water in while it layed on its side! I hope you can get it going but if not, rip the electrics out and stick a 125 two stroke in it! 😂 if you were closer you could have a battery charger I've got in the shed.
That's a old mobility scooter if the electric motor and battery is had it put a little petrol engine on it your in to your little engines and bet you have one sitting around I bet? Bit of modification and you can make it fit be great around a small holding and pull some things then with the tow bar
That's a golf cart, batteries are not that expensive as I have just got four Lucas batteries for the wifes scooter and they were about £45 each. The charger required is a standard 24 volt mobility scooter charger. I have a spare charger if you want it.
That's an old beast! And with twin motors, it was built to carry a heavy driver. It is a mobility scooter, and should be able to achieve eight miles per hour! Technically, it would be a class 3 scooter, which would mean that it needs to be registered with DVLA if it is ever to be used on public highways and byways, and the operator would need to be registered disabled - On private land though, none of that applies. Watch out when looking for a charger for it - 99% of all mobility scooter chargers are interchangeable, but some, like "Sungift" have their chargers wired up arse first! Just from looking at it, I'm not sure if it should have two batteries, or three - something else to be wary of. I can tell you where it would be very useful - when you go to engine rallies and the like! Get, or make, a little sulky trailer for Mrs. NMC, and you can toddle around on that thing all day long without ever breaking sweat! I still think you need to get a little Kubota or similar garden tractor, even if it's just for hefting bulky items on and off the trailer. Just be sure to get one with a front end loader!
Hi, your local mobility scooter technician could have 2 good batteries your can swap into it. Some folks change their batteries regularly to keep them able to go distances without recharging. Car batteries will be ok for around the section, but will to be charged way more often and have less grunt
You need to get an wireless Mic., (maybe a Rode's) so we can hear you from a distance- if your camera has that capability. Does you wife mind you getting all this stuff, and will your back yard look as bad as the last place you lived?
