Great video. Keep up with the content , you’re doing great ! We need more guys like you putting out the real content like this. Thanks ! I’m looking into buying a used 2017 to 2019 Bolt premier and this helps a lot
We just did the same around the time your video was posted. I think you forgot to mention that the powertrain and battery warranties are still active if the vehicle was purchased with low enough miles (ours had around 38000). Our research revealed that the stigma of buying a GM vehicle is (partly) offset by high-mileage reliability of the propulsion battery system. Couple this with various incentives offered by your local utility and state (sales tax exempt in our state) along with many, many lease returns being returned putting downward pressure on prices, Bolt EV may be a compelling value. All the best!
I just paid $29K for a left over 2020 Bolt Premier with 8 miles on it! Got gel cushions from Costco for the seats and they are good now! Also got a spare from EBay that fits perfectly under the upper cover in the trunk of the Premier as the subwoofer and amp are in the tub below! Had a Focus EV before and this car is superior in all respects, love the Apple car play and internet surfing when out and about and Waze is an awesome map system, better than any factory one I have owned! Forward collision already slammed the brakes on and saved me from someone who pulled around a corner and stopped!
Nikki from Transport Evolved had recently put out a review of the Chevrolet Bolt that she had driven past 50 K miles. In that video, she told about the tires that she had on the Bolt as of current time. Tires that she were quite happy with.
I've been looking into the Bolt for many reasons, the most important being performance. It has a really good 0-60, max speed and range. It can't really be beat unless you go with an expensive Tesla. It's disappointing that it cuts corners in very important aspects like driver/passenger comfort. At least on the used market, the Hyundai IONIQ (2017-2019) are good options but they have the exact opposite issues - acceptable performance but great interior quality.
Thank you for sharing. As a small remark, please use a microphone next time, I had difficulties to hear you clearly. I have in my plans to buy an used Bolt. Good electric car for cheap. How many miles has on odometer?
@@danielone06It's also made with aluminum on the exterior portion of the vehicle which is Not good for rust/longevity, for me personally would bring me back to the original Bolt EV.😅
Hope "WALMART" soon sees the advantage of having +6x EV Charge Stations near their front door of every USA Store! Just find any WALMART when traveling ~ shopping ~ etc! It is perfect blend~ Shopper now has a hour or more to shop inside!
Haha just in time for a hwy charge. We were gonna take it for its first hwy ride to camp 275kms away if not for the new restrictions. There is a super charger around 220km mark. For me it’s the getting in and out that hurts.
Probably had just needed to rebalance the tires. 75mph vibration is classic case for tire imbalance. I personally like my bolt a lot and seats are very comfortable but I hear cloth seats are better.
Depends on your needs. For moderate trips and around town, they are perfect. If you plan on traveling cross country every month, rent adamn car and keep your EV at home. Novelty? Hardly.

Great car greybone62, just not for me.

Just test drove 2022 Bolt EUV,seats are better, but a little stiff👍🏻😀
So yours has the software update which eliminates hilltop reserve?
Kudos for your neat garage!
I did not, used the hilltop reserve (90% battery fill). I will let my wife know your comment about our garage, she doesn't let me get it too messy :)
like the color.
Thanks, I did also.
You can get a brand new 2021 bolt LT for $20k! I’m going to look at one in a few hours
where ??? pray tell i want 2 buy one
2007?
Whats your average gom on a 90 percent charge since the update
I just my 2017 with low mileage and get 400kms in 10 to 15c weather. All city driving.

Hey Kakashi, sorry about that, I'm now using Apple AirPods for for a mic, works much better than the iPhone mic. My bolt had 8,000 miles on it.
Bad news bro, you can get a brand new 2020 Premier for about $2k or less. Good review.
Dude, I want the new 2021 Chevy Bolt EUV, new seats & air cooled 👍🏻
where ??? where can we get for 20k ?
i am looking 2 purchase one

Why would he buy another Bolt if this one was not for him?
Hey Ron, the new Bolt EUV, is suppose to have better seats.

I owe one and the driver seat is so uncomfortable
I hear that AIHF, I used a cushion & it still was uncomfortable. Hopefully the refreshed Bolt will have better front seats.
my wife and I can last about 3 hrs in the seats before wanting to take a break.

@75+ unstable?
Yes, strong front end steering vibration, on my particular Bolt.
@@danielone06 Have you had it checked for damage? Previous owner may have hit a curb and bent something.

@@Areku06 I thought that too, I did have the tires rebalanced & rotated. I'm looking forward to the new Chevy Bolt EUV.
Don’t understand why you would buy a car that has an uncomfortable seat… deal breaker for me…
Well Brian, I didn’t know it was uncomfortable, really comes down to body type & my Dad had be, so I thought it would be cool to talk about with him.

Good review. The current EV's are mostly a novelty, but they are not practical. Over priced, too short a distance, to long to charge.
John, you hit the nail on the head, thanks.

@@thenightcapnebulapod There is nothing about the current EV that is practical. They are a novelty. Fun perhaps, but not practical.
@@thenightcapnebulapod agreed, The Bolt is a great short trip & around town car.
Strongly disagree as I charge mine every night and don’t take it cross country
