While I think this build looks really fun, I feel like any video involving a werewolf-based druid build needs to start with a big fat TL;DR in the first seconds that says 'If you don't have Tempest Roar, come back when you do' since literally all werewolf-based builds require it.
I made this build in a build planner last month after server slam. I swapped to it when I hit 60. It works without roar just not as convenient. If you get a 3/4 or 4/4 umbral it works pretty good with some paragon spirit regen.
Hey! Could you theorycraft on a build that switches between Werewolf and Bear? I just got Mad Wolf's Glee and started thinking about how to do it. What I've come up with so far: Skills: Claw, Pulverize, Earthen Bulwark, Wolves, Rabies, Grizzly rage. And Bestial rampage keystone. Idea and focus of the build: Run around as werewolf, spreading out posions with claw and rabies. Wolves will help spread it with aspect. Then you finish the off with huge damage from Pulverize. Aspects: Head - Aspect of quicksand (could be changed because we get slow from poisons) Chest - Mad Wolf's Glee (constant wolf form and + werewolf skills) Gloves - Aspect of the ursine horror (pulverize as earth skill) Legs - Vigorous aspect / Obedience (defence) Feet - Ballistic aspect (+2 earth skills when fortify) 1h - Shockwave aspect (pulverize shockwave) offhand - Aspect of the Alpha (wolves spread rabies) Amulet - Crashstone aspect (+ earth skill damage on cc, could switch place with 1hand) Ring 1 - Aspect of the changeling's debt (pulverize trigger poison damage) Ring 2 - Aspect of the wildrage (wolves get Bestial rampage keystone)
Just did this switch from pulverize build on a lvl 45. Nest is yet to come but for now with a slight learning curve this thing shreds!!! Im not very good at this game but this build makes me feel wicked! I did have the Dire wolf aspect on a piece of equipment so that helped, as I am a few ability points short of max. But WOW! first trial run thru a field was amazingly fast and furious! Thanks man. Great job!
Nice video. A couple key problems with this build though. 1) Attack speed doesn't work on channeled abilities like Lightning Storm. This makes Blood Howl a lot less valuable. Instead, I used the Dark Howl aspect and took Debilitating Roar. This is way stronger for fortify and damage reduction. 2) The Avian Wrath boon for 30% critical damage is actually additive with the rest of your critical damage (just check your stats in game and see for yourself). I recommend taking the 10% max life boon instead.
I've tried your "Bounce Bolt" Werewolf build with tremendous success, now you release another absolute banger. This looks like a ton of fun as well, and feeds into the original build I wanted for a while now, just got to get the legendaries for this and we're golden. Thank you sir! 👍
For single target DPS on small bosses only channel two strikes then spam right click, otherwise the storm spreads out and doesn't always hit the target. You can also spam right click fully charged and it seems to cast it faster in general. Not sure if that's classed as an exploit and can somehow get you banned though. This build is also quite fun in PVP. Keep your Ult saved and run in circles around the Altars of Extraction (don't kill the mobs that spawn) until there's like 25 ish seconds left. Pop the ult and kill the mobs to build crit damage, someone jumps you and gets a nasty surprise. I had two people jump me, killed one of them, then ran around looking for the other and noticed a random lightning bolt must of exploded them off screen. It can be a bit awkward to get going in a pinch and lag seems to just stop you from casting half the time after you dodge but still amusing.
In very high level dungeons, earthen might is better than perfect storm. The dire werewolf ultimate gives you 10% extra crit strike damage for every critical hit. On tanky groups of monsters this very quickly hits the cap of 1,000% extra crit damage. Earthen might procs guarantee 100% crit strike uptime, giving the full 1,000% bonus. BiS gear (~55%), howl aspect (+10%) and elixirs (+15%) get you to 80% crit chance, meaning you will miss out on 20% of the bonus crit damage on average. Effectively you lose 25% of your dps from the missed crits, but perfect storm does give you a 15% damage boost too, so you end up with ~10% less dps choosing perfect storm over earthen might. In lower tier content when you kill stuff quickly, perfect storm is the better choice because you kill stuff too quickly to ramp to 1,000% crit damage fast.

Just a quick note, depending on your actual level the Aspects from the codex that deal flat damage such as the 2577 on your overcharged aspect can end up having very high numbers compared to anything that can drop. As an example I am level 96 and my overcharged aspect imprinted from the Codex does 7675 Damage, the highest drop from and actual item I Could find was in the 4200 range. Its worth while checking some of your aspects in the codex to see how much they can actually do. The only downside is that the codex will give you a base 10% Proc chance instead of 20% however this is hardly an issue as 10% can proc a lot depending on attack/Cast Speed. (Using this currently on my No Core storm wolf build and it slaps.)

well imagine single target scenario - having half the uptime with 0.8x more damage is still dps loss actually. Its dps gain ONLY if you can have more than 50 percent uptime on overchaged (very possible). On big packs, it will probably be dps loss every time - twice more procs, twice more damage.
@ Thanks for the reply, Theory Crafting truly makes this game special!! I Decided to run some tests to see if the 10% made a large change. There are two builds I am interested in seeing Cotton make. One based on the Changeling's Debt aspect for Druid. Another that uses the two Barbarian aspects that make Leap and Stomp cause earthquakes.
@@Jenkens01 Yah. I know first hand Suppressors basically shut it down. I really wish devs would stop implementing things then adding in random effects that outright negate the mechanic entirely. Outside of suppressors its very much functional though. There are as many definitions of viable as there are people though. I already know Changeling's is viable by my standard (outside of suppressors). I want to see more takes on the build is all.
I just wanted to say I don't know why anyone isn't talking about how any of the +% stat are dead slots on equipment because math. 694 item gives [36-51] int for example while 687 necklace gives + [2.1-5.1%] int. For you to get the 51 flat points of int you would need 1,000 points invested in Int for the 5.1% to equal 51 points. Even if you low roll the flat int item you would need 705 Int to get 36 bonuses from 5.1%. So yeah.... the +% stat bonuses are hot dumpster garbage. It's just a complete dead roll on the item roll table when it shows up on a piece of equipment as the flats at the same LvL will always give better gains than you will ever achieve with the +% at this point.
Cotton I've got to say how much I appreciate all the content to help out us druids. Would it be possible to get a video from you/josh or hollow on how you craft your builds or what you pay attention to so they pop? I'm currently in limbo with my druid build between the 50-75 bracket (72 exactly), the old gear is out leveled and struggling to clear content but new stuff dropping is missing key aspects needed to perform. I thought I'd understood buckets and defences enough to theory craft with the pieces that have dropped but the frustration that something isn't working or a lack of understanding somewhere to make it work is becoming disheartening. Honestly the performance has been lackluster at best. Advice and a second point of view would be greatly appreciated here. Keep up the amazing content guys!
@AnTiRENT I was just spamming xp runs in a normal dungeon. I got waxing gibbous from an event in hell tide at 84 as well. I will say I'm having more fun play wolf than bear now.
so one thing with this is lightning storm being a channel doesnt benefit from cast speed so you could take that finalk point off of blood howl and allocate it somewhere else
I was the first :)! This is my favorite build, as it's sooo satisfying when it pops off xD. Pair it with the butcher's cleaver the fear and slow that comes from it is soooo fun!
So at the core this build is great, I've altered a bit to suit my gear and style. I don't have the helmet but I have the unique staff that adds storm to my basic shred so I went that way and I don't have the aspect for dire wearwolf so I took the storm Ult and it's been fantastic
As with ALL current endgame Druid builds, you have to force in the Grizzly Rage crit multiplier buff to get damage, without that mod, druid would suck across the board.

agree and I am really tired of this. Almost every build you load up, its basically "here is *pick any ability* build, we will be using rampaging werebeast and max crit chance, rest is fucking fluff and completely irrelevant basically" :D Kudos to the guys who discovered earthen bulwark build, breath of fresh air :)
I've been using Lightning storm since early access, it was very overlooked but I enjoyed it and it was at least good enough to unlock T4 at level 60 so 10 levels lower than reccomended but I can't do anything more with it because I can't get Tempest Roar to drop.
I changed from Pulverize Bear, all anc items and I've got unique helmet and the chest so it rocks, to the Wolfnado - and I really like it, even thought it has weaker gear (using 1,6k staff - 2,3k is waiting for the aspect to drop to imprint, unlucky me). Now I see the build with Earthen Bulwark clearing T100 NM dungeons in the other vid... but what's more, YOU come up with the LIGHTNING build... come on! Will I swap the build every day? Will Blizzard add an option to save at least 2 packs of skills and paragons? We will see soon...! Greetings from a fellow dudu.
@@Paolini_18 I find fun when the druid rocks. Pulverize does - but I want my Wolfnado to work too, this is what I am chasing right now and this gives me fun. Is changing the builds to check the dmg output and survivability a thing you would call a meta? Maybe, if I stick to a build I don't like. I never stick to the most popular meta build and change every build I have to suit me the best. Still, seeing at least 4 viable builds for druid currently is something I feel good about
Ahhh, Tempest Roar. It won't come in due time. lvl 87 and havent seen it a single time. Almost the same with the pulverize aspect. Dropped it 3 times and i have spent tens of thousands of obols on totems. At this point i am convinced that Tempest Roar just can't drop for some people due to some kind of bug lmao.
so i use a human version of the storm druid, and earthern might passive. It seems to be working for me so far but i just go to t4 and im able to kill things lvl 73 and im lvl 61. killed the butcher yesterday for the first time with a friend who was only a few lvls higher than me. Ima keep trying to human pathway and see how far i can push that. The more paragon points i get just keep amplifying my druids dmg all i need to do is figure out resource sustane but at the same time it isnt too bad as it is right now and i also have a lot to grow. It will be interesting to see how this works out.
New to game just finished main story with my druid. So where do I go now to farm some of this gear?? I have no clue where to go. The lighting storm build is a lot more fun to play then pulverize in my opinion. Ty for this video and any help would be greatly appreciated
Once you got all the Druid Unique Items there are so many fun builds. I got them all now and can't really decide how to play ;) Gonna have to make a 2nd druid in the season
something i dont understand on skill like electric shock or bad omen. is it 15% chance when u do a lucky hit. or just 15% chance for it to happen. it kinda confuse me.
This build looks really fun, but unfortunately I don't have most of the gear. I do, however, have way more frostburns than I will ever need so maybe after a patch I'll get something that will let me change from my pulverise build eventually 😂
@RageGamingVideos Can i ask a stupid question? When you was explaining the skill build i couldnt help but notice there was a point in Crushing Earth but no other earth skills was aquired. I didnt even see anywhere where the was requiring it. Just curious.
Anyone have a non bear build for druid that dosen't need tempest roar? I've gotten multiple copies of every druid unique ( that can drop in tier 3) and some Barbarian uniques but still no tempest roar yet
I have been using this build as well. I think it’s awesome. I just don’t understand how I can use my storm abilities while in rage mode. Any help? II’ve watched the video a couple times, but I keep seeming to miss that part of it.
do you think this is better than the werewolf tornado build for a casual player? i just started making the werewolf tornado one and dont really want to swap, just want to know if the tornado one is too much worse
my issue with thunderstorm is the single target damage on small hitboxes bosses or elites by themselves. where alot of the times the you only ever get 1or 2 strikes and the other half of the times you acutally miss it destroys bosses that have bigget hit boxes
U can hold mouse to load up only to 2 or 3 lightning, and then start tapping mouse, so can hit a single or smaller target exactly with it. Just don't charge to 5 or 6 lightnings on one target. Also with tapping u can cast the lightnings much faster than holding.
This is a cool video, but like most of these videos, it relies on having the best gear to make full use of it. For those of us in the middle, around LVL 50-60, builds that GET you to LVL 80+ are hard to come by. It would be nice to see someone do a video with a mid 50-60 range build for a Druid that does not require all god roll ancestral gear.
I see someone found what I was cooking with a bit; definitely a more refined version! But can’t wait to use this to make it better I knew storm had some potential with lighting once i started digging
This may be a dumb question, but when I use any of my abilities I get transformed back to a human? Is there a unique that is allowing you to stay a werewolf or how are you able to do that?
i havent found aspect of direwolf yet im level 80. Is this a rare aspect too is there a way to target this I just ube obols on one handed axes to try to get this
I've been working on a poison build that uses pulverize to proc the full DOT instantly but I'm sure there's room for improvement. Would be interesting if someone else can figure it out
I will throw a quick one for you since on the clock. Make on of your basic atks the wolf primary so you can proc poison on your enemies while building energy for Pulverize to cash out the poison. If you have the Hunter Zenith unique, this will trigger constant health recovery at the same time.
Do you have any advice on how to switch a build? I have one already established but I wanna try something different and I’m finding it hard to do so with all my gear is for a specific build
I know this an old video now but does anyone know if Blizzard will ever add presets into the game coz I really wanna do this build for my druid but I don't wanna have to keep changing paragon around if I wanna go back to the pulverised build and visa versa.
So something i just realized is that as a necromancer we have to sacrifice our best minion (the golem) in order to get 30%x crit damage but druids can just pick it up without any negatives?
How do you like Lightning Storm druid?

Never seen this build anywhere. ashame... pulverize and stormwolf are better dps. but versatility and fun are way more important. and this build is way better in that regard imo. And i am doing nm's 95 at 82 with np, so still good.
Hope someone gives this a try and that it well get attention. so many great synergies, versatility, fun!
I tried 3 other werewolf builds, but wasnt happy with the performance.but this build is a wrecking ball.i will stay with this build
I just switched to this build with crap gear and it’s still doing really good damage. It’s also a lot of fun. My new fav Druid build. Thanks!
I have been using this build for the last week and it is a blast.
Damn, I came up with this build about a week ago and was thinking it was waaay better than tornado. Took down a tier 46 (lvl 100 enemies) at level 72 with no sweat. Feeling all kinds of affirmation right now lol
There are two builds I am interested in seeing Cotton make. One based on the Changeling's Debt aspect for Druid. Another that uses the two Barbarian aspects that make Leap and Stomp cause earthquakes.
I'm not even sure if Changlings Debt is viable, but this man managed to make lightning strike viable, so there is hope.
Leapquake you say? I might have to actually try a barb then. Not a fan of whirlwind but did enjoy leapquake in D3.
I've been wanting to build a druid. I just didn't want to put all the effort in again, but damnit, this just did it for me.
I was just able to build this. This is an amazing screen cleaner. I wish there is a way to buff the toughness of this build
gotta love that crackling sound of the lightning strikes
Just started a Druid yesterday and I’m playing around with the whirlwind stuff but this looks very fun 👀
Sweet! Now if I can ever find the helm maybe I can try these builds
I finally got my helm at 87 it was rough
@@TheSadsax 😭😭 i just hit 70, did you just do random things or mostly nightmare
Can you share the build? I dont have the helmet either and I Want to play it so bad 😂
As with ALL current endgame Druid builds, you have to force in the Grizzly Rage crit multiplier buff to get damage, without that mod, druid would suck across the board.
agree and I am really tired of this. Almost every build you load up, its basically "here is *pick any ability* build, we will be using rampaging werebeast and max crit chance, rest is fucking fluff and completely irrelevant basically" :D
Kudos to the guys who discovered earthen bulwark build, breath of fresh air :)
this is the build i basically used when leveling but i was not warewolf it was fun
level 85 and still no good unique items on a druid truly a defeating character to play.
Greetings from a fellow dudu.
stop chasing the meta and play what u find fun
@@Paolini_18 I find fun when the druid rocks. Pulverize does - but I want my Wolfnado to work too, this is what I am chasing right now and this gives me fun. Is changing the builds to check the dmg output and survivability a thing you would call a meta? Maybe, if I stick to a build I don't like. I never stick to the most popular meta build and change every build I have to suit me the best. Still, seeing at least 4 viable builds for druid currently is something I feel good about
Wolfpatine. I tried the tornado one and didn't get on with it, but this one is much more fun for me.
Hi. Thanks for the build guide, could you add like best in slot stats for each item.
By the time I get a Tempest Roar, Blizzard is going to nerf it.
I’ve been using this build for over a week now, it best played at 100 but you can get it working well enough around 70-75
Where do you get the legendary helmet and other items needed for this build? Please help!
so i use a human version of the storm druid, and earthern might passive.
Storm strike/pulverize/bulwark/debilitating roar/hurricane/cataclysm/natures fury
For any druid under 50 with no crazy gear to back up these builds.
HI!
What build do you think is one of the strongest for solo play at lvl 100 ?
New to game just finished main story with my druid. So where do I go now to farm some of this gear?? I have no clue where to go. The lighting storm build is a lot more fun to play then pulverize in my opinion. Ty for this video and any help would be greatly appreciated
Once you got all the Druid Unique Items there are so many fun builds. I got them all now and can't really decide how to play ;) Gonna have to make a 2nd druid in the season
is this stronger than your pulverize build?
Yes
something i dont understand on skill like electric shock or bad omen. is it 15% chance when u do a lucky hit. or just 15% chance for it to happen. it kinda confuse me.
Do you happen to have these builds listed so we can click on the link and view it?
Isn't tornado still better because it still has decent aoe clear, but insanely better single target dmg?
This build looks really fun, but unfortunately I don't have most of the gear. I do, however, have way more frostburns than I will ever need so maybe after a patch I'll get something that will let me change from my pulverise build eventually 😂
@RageGamingVideos
Can i ask a stupid question? When you was explaining the skill build i couldnt help but notice there was a point in Crushing Earth but no other earth skills was aquired. I didnt even see anywhere where the was requiring it. Just curious.
Anyone have a non bear build for druid that dosen't need tempest roar? I've gotten multiple copies of every druid unique ( that can drop in tier 3) and some Barbarian uniques but still no tempest roar yet
Trampleslide doesn't require uniques but I just couldn't make it worthwhile at my level (75), it was a lot slower than pulverize.
You could try the one bouncing werewolf one that focuses on shred. I use it atm and will be till I get my Tempest and I'm rlly liking it.
@@kaizer1649 any guide u are following for that ?
@@PrinnySong ruclips.net/video/XQHWi_Qf__M/видео.html
so sad to see all those builds and not being able to play them, all because we can't get the fucking unique tempest road.....
Glad you liked my daughters build I mentioned in a previous video of yours 😀
I have been using this build as well. I think it’s awesome. I just don’t understand how I can use my storm abilities while in rage mode. Any help? II’ve watched the video a couple times, but I keep seeming to miss that part of it.
How's this build compare from wolf lightning storm vs wolf tornado
do you think this is better than the werewolf tornado build for a casual player? i just started making the werewolf tornado one and dont really want to swap, just want to know if the tornado one is too much worse
Tornadowolf is the best druid build in the game, but lightning is much more fun.
@@h4ppy794 i guess thats up to personal opinion, because tornadowolf is absolutely SO much fun for me
When you're a direwerew9lf you're core and basic turn I to wolf or bear only skills. It removes all nature magic from the bar.
my issue with thunderstorm is the single target damage on small hitboxes bosses or elites by themselves.
where alot of the times the you only ever get 1or 2 strikes and the other half of the times you acutally miss
it destroys bosses that have bigget hit boxes
works best if you trample or push them into a corner
U can hold mouse to load up only to 2 or 3 lightning, and then start tapping mouse, so can hit a single or smaller target exactly with it. Just don't charge to 5 or 6 lightnings on one target. Also with tapping u can cast the lightnings much faster than holding.
The Werewolf animation while channeling Lighting Storm is 100% Palpatine.
Hi, druid user here. Just wondering between your 3 druid builds (Pulverize, bounce bolt, and this) which is the best/strongest?
This is a cool video, but like most of these videos, it relies on having the best gear to make full use of it. For those of us in the middle, around LVL 50-60, builds that GET you to LVL 80+ are hard to come by. It would be nice to see someone do a video with a mid 50-60 range build for a Druid that does not require all god roll ancestral gear.
Cotton I love you truly…but if you don’t stop teasing me making these builds with tempest roar 🤣 love the vids tho 😘
I see someone found what I was cooking with a bit; definitely a more refined version! But can’t wait to use this to make it better I knew storm had some potential with lighting once i started digging
Seems like a great build so far. In your build guide. I cant seem to find the gear
Anyone know does he have any leveling build guides and techniques?
This may be a dumb question, but when I use any of my abilities I get transformed back to a human? Is there a unique that is allowing you to stay a werewolf or how are you able to do that?
i havent found aspect of direwolf yet im level 80. Is this a rare aspect too is there a way to target this I just ube obols on one handed axes to try to get this
Why did you take 20% less damage dealt hurricane branch vs the vulnerability branch? Needed DeFense because too squishy?
*sees two week old blog*
“MAN HAVE I GOT A NEW BUILD FOR YOU GUYS !!!!!!!!1”
IVE BEEN USING THIS ALMOST THIS EXACT BUILD ALL DAY LMAO. its so fun
Would love to try any of the builds that require Tempest Roar, but sadly @ level 85 i have not had it drop yet, been in act 4 since 63.
All i do is change like 10 skillpoints and 1 item from my tornado build and i get this same build btw^^
I’m in same boat glad it’s not much of a change tired of the tornado build wanted to try something new
Damn it man you have a new build every couple of days my legendary cant keep up 😂
He has access to the internet where the builds are posted. He didn't invent this build.
What about Lupine ferocity? It procs on every 6th werewolf skill hit (not cast) which is a lot with tempest roar
I know this an old video now but does anyone know if Blizzard will ever add presets into the game coz I really wanna do this build for my druid but I don't wanna have to keep changing paragon around if I wanna go back to the pulverised build and visa versa.
When I turn into the werewolf by using the skill I can´t cast lightstom anymore. I only have werewolf skills. How can I change this?
At level 73 I still haven't gotten a Shockwave legendary yet. I have gotten 3 "uniques" but they were all Mad Wolf's Glee. I fuggin hate my luck.
Any chance to use another helmet?
I’d love to make these builds but unique drops seem to be allergic to me 😠
So something i just realized is that as a necromancer we have to sacrifice our best minion (the golem) in order to get 30%x crit damage but druids can just pick it up without any negatives?
awesome build, im just dying a lot because of the evade lightning storm glitch..
What druid build is there to beat echo of lilith?
perfect storm with bloodhowl even on tornadoes feels so good as well
its actually the smoothest leveling build you can experience on druid. Shitton of spirit to keep on spamming, esp. with umbral aspect
Imagine if you were level 90+ like half the Druid player base and didn’t have tempest roar, what build guides would you make?
trampleslide is the option, 0 uniques mandatory
looks fun how would you level this one 1-50, and using similar lightning with out the helmet :)
This is what I have been building towards and all my friends have been calling me crazy lol
i am basically giving up hope on Tempest roar, my last 10 Uniques on druid have all bin Barbarian..... maybe i will see it during season
Honestly, what’s the best leveling build for Druid? I’ve bounced around so much trying to figure it out.
I knew I'd need those boots for something. Now I know the something
