love and use all 3 on every track... i usually use Dynone in mid side mode (click the left right text) - really adds another dimension - but it does feel a bit less 'stable' if that makes sense...anyway, love the channel :D
9:50 just a small hint: you probably know it but said it wrong: it’s not upward compression you’re doing. It’s a standard downward compression in parallel mode meaning that your leaving the original signal intact whilst dialing in the desired amount of multiband compression. But it’s no upward compression. I actually think that DynOne can’t do this. Using it since it came out and I second that: it’s a great multiband compressor. Also Bon Katz‘s presets are my only presets I use, just like you.
Yep. I don't pay more than $50 for a plugin, dude even if it is a "perpetual license", it's not really. Eventually they will stop updating the older stuff, come out with a new one to make you upgrade, and charge you for that upgrade! Spent tens of thousands on Tdm stuff and plugins in the 2000s and do I have or use any of them now? NO. I couldn't even if I wanted to, as the 20yr old computer doesn't work anymore, and finding posts for it or diagnosing what's wrong would cost more money then I can spend on other things! On top of the fact that none of those old plugins sound as good as the new shit anyway!
If it can get down to at least 120-150 range that would be fantastic. God particle is around there and some SSL plugins I own. It looks like such a great tool though.@@panorama_mastering
Yea i also got Dynone and Michelangelo, and the Michelangelo is my top favorite plugin at this moment. Dynone is also in my top 10 most favorite and powerful tools! Cheers
Can you post a link to their song? Can't find it in the US, plus looks like they're a few bands call Wardens. But that tune is killer! I want it. They got a website or something?
Thanks for sharing as always, starting using infrasonic lately now too, would you be using it at the start of your chain along with the clipper to feed the rest of the plugins a 'good' signal? Just curious where you are placing it in your chains on average.
I'd love to see a shootout of DynOne 3 VS ProMB set to the same parameters, as closely matched as possible to your fav preset. It boasts mastering grade filters and such and such, but I still haven't found anything that beats Pro MB, so I'd love to see if DynOne is different enough to be worth the buy.
Hello, i really like your channel, i m NOT a master engineer , nor a mixer but my pleasure is to create song mix them and master them ( i m bad at mixing and master but enjoy a lot to do it). Could you explain the difference between fabfilter pro mb and leapwing dynone please? Regards
I hoped you would move the quality on the Michelangelo from High to Pristine, just like you did on then DYNONE from Ultra to Master, just because .... you can :D I know there is substantial change in quality between these modes in Kelvin plugin, I was wondering if it was the same for the Michelangelo.
I dont get what you mean by „underrated“ ? These are some of the most respected plugins in the mastering world i thought. To be honest i expected you to use Basslane Pro for the sub processing. Did the Tdr one replace it for you?
Respected, but I feel like these are slept on amongst a lot of people coming up; TDR definitely not replacing basslane pro; just two different tools for different purposes;
@@panorama_mastering i understand. I dont know if we mean the same group of people by „coming up“ but i think for most people coming up (which in my understanding are people without loads of cash) 250 here and 200 there are quiet an argument that can cause a not so random „sleeping on them". I don`t think these plugin price ranges will ever be in the mainstream Spotlight cause they are simply too expensive to be mainstream. I think quite a few people know them. As to basslane, ok i might have misunderstood you while listening to the video cause what you where describing about the hip hop track sounded to me like similar things can be done for with basslane but i could be wrong. Have not compared them yet
Any thoughts on Sonible plugins? No one really reviews those, unless sponsored. I'm on the fence on the whole A.I. (lol, is it REALLY "a.i."?) thing... Maybe I'm wrong, but it feels like the only people raving about those are the same people going nuts over Ozone auto mastering ("Yo, I just "mixed and mastered" a track in two clicks"). Are those any good? Cheers!
I own the Smart EQ and Pure Limit. I have no complaints quality-wise, but the workflow is weird to me. As of right now, AI doesnt make better choices than an experienced engineer, therefore its weird to hand over a channel to AI, just go over it yourself afterwards
How's the sound? Is it on the transparent side? I've herd the optional integrated saturation is pretty bad... And that the way it processes the input signal deviated from one updated to another (changes in the algorithm?). Cheers @@SomberSkies_000
gawd this music is just awful, how can you judge anything with this constant hell of a noise going on? I don't get it noted TDR Infrasonic though .. and skipped the noise .. oh, and Michelangelo is great, I absolutely love it, one of the best buys ever
A mastering engineer has to have the ability to put themselves in the shoes of the person who wrote the music and enjoy it from their point of view, and then make improvements that push what's enjoyable about it. If you can't do that, you can't be a mastering engineer or a producer for anybody but yourself.
u nuts or wot? seriously this wold never be the kind of noise I would chose to explain a plugin, you just can't hear what's it doing with this aggressive sound .. my opinion, yours might differ

Cool, to share your "one-trick ponies".
Michelangelo was on sale, recently ... and it instantly got it's place in my flow. Very classy!
Thanks for sharing!

I gotta be real, 250 for that michel eq is just absurd.
been looking for ways to recreate what it does, but yeah I won’t be paying that much for that plugin ever
How much do you think is fair for a tool like this?

I'd say it's a fair price, but yeah that's my hurdle to buying it too. She be pricey

No worries!
What a cool song by the Wardens,
I really like their EP Saving Face 👌🏼

Yes absolutely! I always run it in Pristine as its truly better as High…….
maybe you know already, but render is always pristine. excellent plugin!!
Of course! Very important for saturation plugins… anti aliasing
Please do a Verum 1 mixing review.
Great video, thanks
My pleasure!

Been followong you since your first video, wondering if you fully in the box mastering now?
Nope; still hybrid;
But for all intensive purposes on the YT channel (Mainly logistic for capturing and editing) I keep it ITB;

Maybe not "Super high pass filter" ... but "high pass filter on steroids" is a better descriptor? xP
