Okay, All the best. Just one point to add: You may read network theory, analog electronics (upto Gate 1 marks questions level) as well. It will not be used during vlsi job but they ask questions in optional test.

You have got 8 LPA CTC and if the job is from your wished field then no need to waste 3Years. If you work hard properly in Job and keep preparing for high paying companies then with the same amount of hard work (As required in Gate + Mtech) you can go above 20LPA. If you really want to do Mtech to experience one more learning curve, experience top colleges life and all those things then you may go for it l.

Your theory is enough for placements. However you may read Lower power vlsi, clock domain crossing, testing and verification aspects, Static timing analysis. I have suggested vlsi projects in my vlsi job preparation video....you will find a link at the end of this video itself.
It's okay okay. Neither very bad nor very good. Opportunities would be there but not as much as top NITs so, you have to crack them by competing with your classmates and other specialisation students as well.

That depends on which training institute you joined. Are they teaching required coursework and providing hands on experience on required tools? Will they provide placement support? If yes, then it is not stupid decision.
Rourkela allows ESC guys to sit for vlsi so if you prepare for vlsi then you have to clear the vlsi test and interviews. Any product based company would fetch you 20LPA+ ctc in vlsi
If you are stuck at 3-4 LPA and also not able to see any growth opportunities in the respective sector then going for M.Tech in VLSI/ Embedded could be a good option. However, Make sure to do it from Top Colleges of BHARAT.

Han kr skte hai, Internship roles ke liye Synopsys, cadence and mentor jaisi companies allow krti hai. But ek to vlsi aani chahiye aur dusra thoda sch ye bhi hai ki Mtech ko prefer krte hai to wo problem aayegi.
IIT BHU ranking wise to shi hai lekin I will suggest aap LinkedIn pe whan ke kuch current batch ke students se bat kr lo. Ya koi agr recent graduates se bat ho pati to wo bhi chlega.
Both are almost comparable. Rourkela gets the advantage of being well established and old NITs. Choose as per your convenience as both are almost equal.

If your training institute teaches well, provides hands on experience and placement support then M.Tech won't be needed but all depends on the training institute.
Btech tier-3 and VLSI Job is very very rare. If you have time and can get 700+ gate score then Mtech is better choice. I don't recommend for training institutes...still if you find something really good then you may go with them. But make sure to take proper, honest reviews before joining any training institute.

Yes, There are good training institutes and during Covid they also had very good placements but that situation is not exactly true now. Also, There are CTC differences between a M.Tech from top College and training institute guy. Still, if you are able to find any affordable and good training institute then no issues because training institute would need 6-8 months of time while Mtech requires 2 yrs.

You are at 7LPA after 4 yrs of job so based on this Mtech would be beneficial but again you need to get 700+ GATE Score so that you can top colleges vlsi and CTC there would be at least 22+ by 2027. But this way have some risk. While if you switch to 12LPA and then again one more switch and 18 LPA+ can be achieved in 3 years (Gate prepration+ mtech). So, Now you have to decide which one is best for you.

No, It would be comparatively better to excel in IT itself. If you are very very passionate about vlsi then it's another thing. With the same amount of hard work which you would do in Gate + mtech, can achieve better results in IT itself
But, You may try in other CSE fields and that would be comparatively easy. Actually, I am not saying that VLSI Masters wouldn't be fruitful for you but you have to again cope up so many topics because of 3.5 years gap from academics and it would really require so much hard work. So, If you are really really passionate about VLSI then it would be beneficial. If you are coming only for money then better to try comparatively easy alternatives.

You already mentioned/ covered prerequisites for Masters in VLSI. All other advance vlsi subjects would be covered during M.Tech.

NXP, STM, Renesas, Texas instruments are. there. &
I think there should be many more companies as well working in Chip design specifically for EVs.

Is it good option to pursue master after doing job for 1 year? I got placed (tier 3 EE) but want to shift in Embedded systems
If you are stuck at 3-4 LPA and also not able to see any growth opportunities in the respective sector then going for M.Tech in VLSI/ Embedded could be a good option.
However, Make sure to do it from Top Colleges of BHARAT.

1. Don't freeze, agr phle round me NIT Rourkela vlsi mil gya hai to last round tk may be Warangal ya Surathkal bhi mil skti hai. So, Isse hold krke next round me jao.
2. English bolna koi bhut bda kaam nhi hai....seekh jaoge....thodi bhut grammar mistakes vlsi me utna matter nhi krti but han thoda work to krna pdega aapko ispe.

Gate preparation is different and vlsi preparation is different.
Maine VLSI roadmap videos bnaye hai for digital and analog vlsi job...so aapko vlsi ke liye wo sb follow krna hoga

Other than Trichy, Warangal and Surathkal,
Rourkela, Calicut, Allahabad would be better compared to Ropar.

Han kr skte hai, Internship roles ke liye Synopsys, cadence and mentor jaisi companies allow krti hai. But ek to vlsi aani chahiye aur dusra thoda sch ye bhi hai ki Mtech ko prefer krte hai to wo problem aayegi.

IIT BHU ranking wise to shi hai lekin I will suggest aap LinkedIn pe whan ke kuch current batch ke students se bat kr lo. Ya koi agr recent graduates se bat ho pati to wo bhi chlega.

Both are almost comparable. Rourkela gets the advantage of being well established and old NITs.
Choose as per your convenience as both are almost equal.

If your training institute teaches well, provides hands on experience and placement support then M.Tech won't be needed but all depends on the training institute.

Btech tier-3 and VLSI Job is very very rare.
If you have time and can get 700+ gate score then Mtech is better choice.
I don't recommend for training institutes...still if you find something really good then you may go with them. But make sure to take proper, honest reviews before joining any training institute.
@@Singh-Rajveer cause I hv seen many linked in profiles hv tier 3 cllg background and hv done a vlsi course in training institute and got good placements in semiconductor company
Yes, There are good training institutes and during Covid they also had very good placements but that situation is not exactly true now.
Also, There are CTC differences between a M.Tech from top College and training institute guy.
Still, if you are able to find any affordable and good training institute then no issues because training institute would need 6-8 months of time while Mtech requires 2 yrs.

Is is worth to do mtech after 4 yrs of job currently at 7lpa will get 12 lpa after switching the job so plz guide me from nit mtech vlsi can i get 18lpa avg package?
You are at 7LPA after 4 yrs of job so based on this Mtech would be beneficial but again you need to get 700+ GATE Score so that you can top colleges vlsi and CTC there would be at least 22+ by 2027. But this way have some risk.
While if you switch to 12LPA and then again one more switch and 18 LPA+ can be achieved in 3 years (Gate prepration+ mtech).
So, Now you have to decide which one is best for you.

Along with that some companies also sponsor M.Tech of candidates so that could also be a possible way for dinkar.

No, It would be comparatively better to excel in IT itself. If you are very very passionate about vlsi then it's another thing.
With the same amount of hard work which you would do in Gate + mtech, can achieve better results in IT itself

But, You may try in other CSE fields and that would be comparatively easy.
Actually, I am not saying that VLSI Masters wouldn't be fruitful for you but you have to again cope up so many topics because of 3.5 years gap from academics and it would really require so much hard work.
So, If you are really really passionate about VLSI then it would be beneficial.
If you are coming only for money then better to try comparatively easy alternatives.
@@Singh-Rajveer Thanks for the input actually I did my engineering in ECE and I gave gate 2024 in ECE I got 1280 rank so that is why I was thinking of going for gate 2025 and try to achieve a better rank a do masters in VLSI or any ECE interdisciplinary fields

In that case, You Should fully focus on GATE and try to make this rank under 500.
Any of Top 6 IIT and VLSI / AI / ML related branch would almost guarantee 20LPA+ minimum CTC.
