I went real hard on the checks and x’s. 😂 Also, sorry it was lateish. I was hoping the senate sessions would end but they still haven’t done that thing yet.
Yes, please get well quickly. This tribe needs it's leader! And maybe a secret handshake... Very cool bars - I would love to smell that tea soaping in progress!! Looks like I'm buying some tea.
I hate when people comment about everyone talking to much if they don’t like it go away and don’t say anything, and let guys who are following you and who love listening to you… btw I’m new to your channel and when I have time I’ve been binge watching your videos and the tea soap ones I’m in love with 😊🙂🙂🙂
The Purple Pieman could have fallen under "blackberry" for a strawberry shortcake themed soap series. As always though excellent video. Feel better soon.
Look into stainless steel tea balls. They're cheap and if you need a big one, you can get the herb strainer balls made for making soups. I drink loose tea daily and buy it by the tin. My favorite tea comes in 1 lb. bags and I drink the heck out of that every day. Tea is like coffee, only better tasting.
love HP! i cant remember what i ordered years ago from a HP collection and I still have the lil treasure chest they sent with all the goodies inside, this was like when it 1st came out
Sorry you are sick again. I have been battling bronchitis as well. Ugh.....I can't breath without a mask. Don't even want to think about with one. All the stores stopped sanitizing everything. That is normally where illnesses spread- by touching a surface with the germ on it and then touching your face. Sanitizing carts and pin pads everywhere I go. Adding tea to my list of things to try! Beautiful!
Oh gosh...now I need to make a whole line of tea soaps! LOL! So looking on the website at this tea and the checks and x's, I think the checks are for the positive things the tea does have and the x's are for the negative things the tea does not have. So YES it's natural and organic gets a check, but NO it 's not GMO and so that's an X. Does that make sense? Thank you for the discount code! I'll be ordering some. And really...PLEASE GET WELL! LIKE ALL THE WAY WELL! K?
Herbal tea can certainly have tannins, depending on what the ingredients are. Almost all barks and leaves have tannins to some degree, and a lot of herbal teas have leaves, and some also contain barks. I'm sure other parts of plants also contain tannins. I'm speaking from my experiences experimenting with tanning leather with a wide variety of plants.
Sure! This was mostly a comparison against black tea, which has lots of tannins, to a honey bush (I think), which are said to have very few (but definitely less than black tea) as a means of comparison in what I witnessed in soaping with them.
The swirl is really fun! One of the first bars looked like a hand fan. I just spent, like had you paused while I shopped, a lot of money at Mad Micas, Nurture Soap, and Maple Street. I bought glitters and glow powder and scents. One of which is Satsuma Orange (thank you for testing that one!). I might use it with a citrus sunshine tea thing I have here at home.
@@MrsSoapAndClay Yup! Most of it is to support a soap themed around my partner and his fursona. He likes glow things and glitter, so I'm going to try to make a glittery glowy embed column for it. =P Scented like blue raspberry candy.
speaking on caffeine...how do you feel about putting like caffeine powder in your soap? i was thinking about putting a lil bit in my coffee bars to give an extra morning tingle..?
Did we catch the same bug? I’ve been dealing with a cold turned bronchitis for the past 2ish weeks and also got tested for the first time. I hadn’t been sick in almost 3 years and was just starting to think I’d make it the entire pandemic without getting any kind of sick. I hope you get to feeling better soon and drink more tea then you soap with ☺️
@@MrsSoapAndClay this round hasn’t been too bad just long and sleep depriving. Though I think compared to when I got the flu twice in a row (confirmed by horrid nose swab) not much can top that and I hope never does.
@@MrsSoapAndClay oh jeez! I think mine were about 3 years ago when the Midwest had a bad outbreak of flu a. Ended up spending a night in the ER and having the doc look at my O2 stats and say things like impressive 🙄
Is it possible to add talcum powder as well as magnesium hydroxide, as well as clay combined to soap to give it some deodorizing properties? If so, how is it applied?
Love it is truly amazing "NO ONE" said... this (maybe they will now so sad people!!!! I hope you feel better honestly Come yall tell her you hope she feels better!!! I do hope so!!!! I may not say ot much but the soap is so pretty as is all your soaps I mean that. I have learned so much from you and even the little things means so much 💘 Love you feeling better God willing
I have not and I would not recommend. For a several reasons. 1) Safety. The Glade and other plugins don't appear to readily have available any IFRA statements. They may say they don't contain certain ingredients but we don't know that these fragrances, that might be safe when aerosolized, are skin safe in products like soap. It's ALWAYS best to buy from reputable suppliers that provide IFRA statements and use rates for safety. 2) We don't know how they perform in soap and learning can be a costly mess. The ingredients needed to make them useable for plugin diffusing might cause a swift seizure of your batter or heat up to the point of exploding out of the mold. We also don't have any information on how well the fragrance will stick around after saponification. And they might cause massive discoloration. SOOOO many things can go wrong and we would have no baseline info for it. 3) Cost. I just priced Lavender & Vanilla on Amazon. I can buy a 3 pack of Glade L&V which is 2.01 fl oz per the listing for $7.49 on Amazon prime. At New Directions Aromatics I can get 3.3 fl oz of French Lavender for $7.02, a 3.3 fl oz of a generic lavender for $5.78, or 3.3 fl oz of lavender essential oil for $14.91. All of these we can look up reliable IFRA statements, get soaping information, and generally know what to expect. If you use NDA for other soap making ingredients and plan your purchases carefully, then the shipping cost from them is negligible for these. Brambleberry, Cierra Candles, Maple Street, Candlescience, and so many more fragrance suppliers have lavender options at a better price per ounce that it's just overall BETTER to go through them. And lavender is just ONE example. All of the fragrances for these kinds of plugins can be found, or near to, from many different suppliers. Or you can blend things to try to accomplish the same fragrance.
@@returninghome7685 It's an excellent question to ask, particularly with how many DIY and first time crafting videos and tutorials are out there. I can easily see some 5 Minute Crafts or Blossom type channel trying to put together a soap making video, or some well intended individual who maybe the misses the mark a teeny bit, for M&P soap making using found ingredients; like intentionally trying to use colorants and fragrances that might be available on hand instead of having to go to a supplier. But, yeah, this is a thing that goes on people and bad ingredients can cause bad reactions. So... totally not recommended.
Saying “I’m a very very smart person” doesn’t hit the listener well. Ever. Keep it humble. Also I wonder if you got the news flash yet that masks never worked. I love your channel for soap stuff but the liberal talking point injections are a bit cringe. The last video went on about children and trans people. Ugh! Not everyone thinks like west coasters in the US. Ya’ll are drinking a fuckton of propaganda koolaid. Thanks for the non-social non-politics soap content though.

One of the ingredients on this tea is "flavor essences". I suspect that's why it is X'ed for artificial, sweeteners, and the GMO/dairy/etc. category.

did the brown darken later? I love the colors and it reminds me of a Hawaiian type soap
