I remember when I was young the first time I was head over heels about a girl in my class, and this piece really brings me back to that moment in the classroom when I was staring at her hands the whole time. This wonderful piece is a slow motion soundtrack to that moment.
Your track remind me of Matteo Zingales' work on films like like The Hunter (2011) or A Fire Inside (2023). It is truly inspiring Dan. Congratulations !
Thank you! I'm inspired by the varispeed technique. As a visual artist dipping my toes into the world of composition, I find equating music with a more visual or numerical symbolism has really helped solidified my understanding of something so ethereal.
That sounds absolutely amazing Dan! Thank you for sharing these great tips! I'm not sure if there is varispeed in my DAW but if I want that effect I transpose all or some of the tracks up and then tune them down inside Kontakt, which seems to work in a similar way and I also really love that sound.
Dan, prior to mentioning the way you filter out low frequencies prior to using EchoBoy, you had already applied other FX to the strings. Clearly you're not rolling off the low end for the entire mix. So, are you sending all tracks to multiple busses in order to use certain FX on one bus and certain FX on another? Or are you using EchoBoy only on certain tracks, but not others? Apologies if I misunderstood something, but I was left with these questions. Thanks.
Wow! Sounds so so lovely and I like the textures a lot! Makes sense for long chords and slowly evolving scores. I already got Trails and after hearing this great track I’m already up for more 😅… One question: What kind of fader device are you using? Seems quite handy and smooth with long „fader paths“ for detailed control…thanks for your info & cheers
Great video and beautiful work Dan. Just purchased the full bundle.

Thanks for sharing your tips regarding these absolutely stunning libraries! Beautiful track too!! 💖
My god man these plugins sound amazing
Thanks so much 🙌
Keep up the good work! you are the best!
String Formations with Kepler Elements strings really give you a nice Jóhann Jóhannsson feel. It's the best textural combo I have.

Thanks, the library sounds very exciting. Can you tell me which fader box you use to control the sounds?
I think it's this one: nuancescontroller.fr/
