We are a team of 4 developers, so have very little time to build free instruments for multiple plugins. What would you suggest though?

We’ve chosen a specific style here that omits vibrato, although certain articulations include it subtly to enhance emotional expression.

Decent is definitely... decent. Soundpaint... chef's kiss! 💋 Soundpaint announced that early this year, they'll be releasing their improved library creation tools and working more closely with library producers. If you've not heard or tried Soundpaint before... RUN!... don't walk. ... As with Fracture Sounds, LOTS of beautiful free libraries to go along with the free Soundpaint sample player. FYI: Soundpaint and 8DIO are sister companies. ALL of the 8DIO libraries, many already, are steadily being ported over to Soundpaint. Both Kontakt and Soundpaint catalogs will continue to be supported, with frequent upgrades and new libraries for each. ... 8DIO/Soundpaint have this HUGE catalog of beautiful orchestral, cinematic, ethnic, and unique instruments that is somehow below the radar for most people. Oh, their libraries will stand up to the quality of any, and their prices are astonishingly low. Tip: Naturally, always prefer the Soundpaint version of the libraries. When shopping on 8DIO, check the crossgrade list (search "8DIO Soundpaint crossgrade list") before buying to see if the same library, potentially under a different name, has already been converted to the Soundpaint engine and available on Soundpaint. ... Now, to be sure, Soundpaint/8DIO are fantastic and deep in my heart, but Fracture Sounds... can't help but love their uniqueness. Truly trendsetters. The only thing that comes close is Spitfire Impressionism, which is very good, but I fear will become overused by many. Soundpaint is amazing! They're releasing improved library creation tools soon and partnering with more producers. The free player comes with beautiful free libraries - definitely worth checking out! Great news: 8DIO (Soundpaint's sister company) is steadily converting their entire catalog to Soundpaint. Both platforms are well supported and will keep getting updates and new content. Their orchestral, cinematic, and ethnic instrument libraries are incredible quality at fantastic prices! Pro tip: When shopping, look for Soundpaint versions first. You can search for 8DIO's crossgrade list, which shows 8DIO libraries that are already available in Soundpaint format. Fracture Sounds deserves special mention too - their unique libraries are truly innovative! While Spitfire's Impressionism is also wonderful, Fracture brings something special to the table.

We’re a small team, so developing these libraries in Kontakt allows us to efficiently reuse assets and program new samples with minimal hassle. Expanding to multiple plugins would significantly reduce the time we can dedicate to our commercial products, which remain our top priority. That said, we’ll be releasing a survey soon to gather feedback from our newer supporters. While previous surveys showed a strong preference for Kontakt, we recognise that preferences can evolve over time!
