Personally, the game gives me the impression that it doesn't have its own style. Everything is very out of place, it makes me think that the game is an amalgamation of assets.
You're absolutely right. Its so many games combined but theres no logic behind combining these elements, and every aspect is worse than the games these elements were borrowed from.
It might just not be for you because I feel the same way about a mix of games but in a good way. It's outriders and destiny had a baby and I really like it
Played for a few hours on PS5, already unlocked Bunny. Game ran with no problems. Fairly easy to pickup. Lots to do. The like the combat. Kinda hard in some areas. I found myself looking for walls to shoot from behind. I get a Helldivers2 vibe. The shooting and aiming is important. Line Helldivers. I’m enjoying it.
Honestly I love this game . It’s so simplistic and well put together IMO I also like how it reminds me of warframe and other looter shooters I’ve played previously . I look forward to what direction this goes
CS:Nexon Zombies, Maplestory 2, KartRider Drift All these games published by Nexon were free and i loved them, yet ultimately were killed either by microtransactions/fomo/pay2win or just die due to budget cuts/lack of content Only latest The Finals is more or less holding on, but history shows that Nexon likes to hook people on f2p nature and then gradually skew it into pay2win format This game will definitely either fail or be put on life support by people willing to pay half their income to get new monthly shinies
I would enjoy it more if the microtransaction were not predatory. Having colors be a per skin basis unlock is ridiculous, and the pricing of not only shop items but the Descendants themselves is poor at best. Plus the bundle amounts compared to the shop prices, and the massive amount of grind later in the game that pressures you into buying the characters, and it feels like the fun gameplay is a front for a cash shop. I dont mind buying power as it is your playthrough, it is strictly the prices. Also a more personal note i wish it didnt have bad mmo cosmetics that thematically and stylistically do not fit in the game, like the maid outfits or pajamas.

Didn't know about colors being a per skin basis unlock. Haven't gotten very far just yet, but I heard they were going to change the coloration system to make it more accessible. Guess not. One thing I can definitely gripe about is the fact that you can't seem to recolor the default skins - unless I missed something somewhere. I don't see an option at all.
the bad syncing on the lips from audio is because its native language is korean, its much more enjoyable to swap the voice to korean and just read the subtitles. far better voice acting too
Is there player to player trading? Warframe players being able to trade in game with other players for the cash currency is what really differentiates it from pay to win.

Warframe is still pay to win, very much so especially a new player who has no slots and no access to plat farm along with trading limits. Game opened up to me when I traded for 2 weeks and got around 16k plat which given the time investment and effort I should have just paid DE.
I'm playing multiple games, and since the game came out (over 24 hours now) I didn't try it because a lot of people on Steam were making a big deal out of the privacy agreement. If anyone seeing this comment is like me, and read the entire thing, I did a bunch of extra research + reading to end up realising that this is completely normal. A lot of games do the exact same thing and people are taking this out of proportion, so for instance, the devs wants to know how much space you have in your hardrive, or what brand it is, and people are thinking they are going to steal your pictures. They want to know if you could be cheating, stealing accounts or scamming someone and people think they want to know your entire search history. I'll agree with the terms tomorrow and finally give the game a try.
Gameplay wise, I had fun. Monetization wise, I surely did not, but maybe I will if they ever make trading a thing, cus I only realised that we can only own 10 characters and the only way to increase that is by paying irl money wich is bad imo Warframe is still waaaay more f2p friendly than this, and I highly doubt Nexon will ever be the same wich is sad.

It's like a warframe platform with destiny gameplay mechanics, I'm just hoping it'll have more endgame than warframe, and less reliance on pre-made groups than destiny
@@TRBN420 The only thing they really share is you can mod and polarity which is the only real mechanics warframe has as well, modding is universal but I suppose polarity may have been a WF first but hopefully many new games take note and copy that system.
Honestly I’d just be careful with this release. It doesn’t give off good vibes at all. The constant comparisons to destiny and warframe (or anything similar) always struck me as weird, because this game lacks what makes the other games unique. Its art style is just “whatever,” art direction is just “whatever” characters are bland (and some of their designs are quite tasteless imo), and the story is remarkably uninteresting. The gameplay is fine I guess, but it’s just not enough for me personally. Not to mention it’s a Nexon title… This kind of game releases all the time. I’m not sure how long it will last, or long people will be interested in it.
yea thats what happened to me unlocked the venom chick and she had a 16 hour build timer. logged out to try and link my account and it deleted everything. i dont want to redo everything i did so i stopped playing. not bad for a free game and u dont need to spend any money to enjoy this. make sure u link youre account first before u start playing. its free at the end of the day u have nothing to lose from trying it
I recognize DNA from MANY other similar games in this. Warframe, Destiny 2, Anthem, Global Agenda, Firefall, Skyforge and yes even Battlefront 2 (the EA version) and SWTOR.
You're spot on with the monetization. After looking through the cash shop and everything my first impression was "Warframe/Destiny, but Nexon" lol. Not pay2win, but alot of convenience and the cosmetics are imo overpriced. The game itself pretty much has the same comparison to me. Warframe/Destiny and a bit of Anthem like you mentioned. Very fun - they definitely took down the right notes (and some of the bad ones). Overall I'm really digging it. Taking my time so only level 10 and just got Bunny, but good stuff overall. My current main gripe is not getting all my beta rewards. I'll wait a day and then send in a ticket if nothing changes.
@@Nirioonossian No, it doesn't mean that. They are not paid by Nexon. They can be unbiased and critize the game. They just apply to a program to get an in-game benefit to make it easier for them to make content on the games. That's it.
@@simonshura9144as far as I know, you enter a quest to get the drops needed and once you get those drops you have to grind for the materials to craft those drops you then have to wait hours for it to finish crafting, and then get the descendant you want. I don't think beginners will have the patience to grind that much, he won't be getting bunny until hours into the game.
I've played a mission where you escort a drone, you have to be near the drone and it uses your shield as fuel. I wonder where they got this idea from 😂
I was hoping you to talk about weapons and Descendant farm times, for what I've seen so far the drop tables % of the ´´relics´´ are pretty bad even after upgrading them, and I'm not sure if you can choose from the entire squad as you do on Warframe so I'd like to know an average time without counting the resource farm.
You cannot buy two Kiffer you can only buy caliber caliber buys worth of descendants and other things you have to farm Kuiper shards and I’m pretty sure you can’t buy maxed out or to be fair any kind of mods in this game I only recall seeing any category in the shop where I can buy mods
Tried it out on a whim. Game is ok so far. Wish Anthem 2 was juat focused as promised (yes I am aware this is a different company/dev team/publisher). Its a pretty fun game, for sure. Given time I am aure the game will become a blast.
I keep seeing this line of commentary that Warframe is the parent of First Decendant.... Warframe is not the parent, It's the Uncle who's the god-parent that lives in another state. The first thing i did was played through the tutorial and then when I got to "homebase", I looked at the "Live service shop"....... I did take a look at these "Ultimates" The "Bunny" Ultamte pack.... First Desendant's Flag ship Waifu.....That is going to run you $105 USD. I've got about 10 hours into this game. I can see some of the glints of warframe with the mods on the guns and on your Decendant and then that pay to skip time vs grind it out aspect. But, If we are looking for the "Parents".. It's more like if Outriders and Destiny got into a love triangle with Lineage II. Then Lineage had a baby and it's now trying to guess who's the dad. Then it got to spend a Summer with Uncle Warframe who taugh them some card tricks to make money off people. The Lips sink up if you put on the Korean language setting, but I know there's a large swath that don't wabt to have to read sub-titles. The three gun loadout feels more like Outriders and a gun modification system closer to how you get to Upgrade guns in Fortnite's save the world mode. The gunplay is just mid. You still have to aim in Warframe, First Decendant just doesn't have beam/chain weapons (as far as I have played.) The gun design looks like they tried to copy off both of Destiny and Outriders designs. StarField has bad gun designs but they only look slightly better than this game. Ammo drop rates in missions don't drop the ammo that you are using appropiately and the "ammo" boxes are just hap-hazardly placed on the objective maps. The Melee hit box is lacking and oddly placed for controller play (Both left and Right bumpers at the same time). The movement is only slightly better than Outriders, but hey at the very least you can double jump, climb and you got a grappling hook that's too short to be useful. I have had a couple of the set destination missions lose connection, so you lose the drops and the progress and have to go restart that mission again. A Mid Game with a pay to get your Husbandu/Waifu's with a pay to dress-up even sexier, Sexy K-Pop shell. Go play it. If you like it, you like it. But it will fall to the wayside and deleted for space when the next shiny new game comes out.
I still am skeptical about what you said where you can buy fully maxed out mods I don’t recall you’ve been able to buy mods at all in the cash app, but I maybe I just didn’t look hard enough but either way they can’t be paid to win because there’s no competition there’s not even assemblance of competition like Scoreboard or anything so, how can you be? How can you be paid to win? If you don’t even know what the player next to you is is doing or has accomplished maybe there was some kind of scoreboard on who’s finishing interceptor battles faster than other players or something like that, but there isn’t there’s no kind of scoreboard. Nothing there’s no way to compare yourself to other players.
I was rooting for this game to succeed, but if I'm 100% honest I didn't have very much 'fun' playing yesterday. It's definitley borrowing successful concepts from both Warframe and Destiny, but the core gameplay of 'moving around and shooting stuff' just doesn't feel anywhere near as good as either of those other games at least so far. The movement feels very clunky to me. I don't want/need Warframe style bullet jumping in a game like this, but a little bit more fluidity would be really nice. The grapple is cool (although it would feel SO much better if it had like 20% more range), but when you aren't using it it kinda just feels like you're 'mall walking' around in the face of gunfire. Increasing the sprint speed a bit and adding something like a knee slide would make it feel way better than it currently does. The shooting feels clunky to me as well. I get some of this is subjective, but as somebody who prefers and almost exclusively use the Warframe guns you actually do have to aim (I unironically love the Kuva Quartakk and run the Rubico like an assault rifle) I disagree that the gunplay here is better. Some weapons felt better than others (the marksman rifles and hand cannons felt pretty good), but the ARs and SMGs in particular felt very floaty, impercise, and unimpactful at least so far. I'm rooting for it, but I haven't fallen in love yet.
On the topic of monetization (since it's a nexon game), I think they've done about as well as they could do given who they're working for. I'm happy with it. However, a battlepass might be a dealbreaker for me - not because it's paid, but because I don't like feeling coerced to play the game
For me i love the game and i know i will play lots of hours into this will probably be mine main looter shooter I just love on how this a basically a clean slate i start with everyone at the very beginning without so much stuff all in mine face that is very overwhelming
People are already leaving brother, it's a trashy mobile looking game with very repetitive game play, litrally 4 missions in rotation on every map same 4 missions. Lol its bad. But some people let's say people like you may still enjoy it , but for a true gamer we can see how bad and trashy the game is. . No way will this ever be a main game.
I personally dislike the typical glamorous asian gacha game-style design of EVERY character in the game, it also doesn't help that there is an insane amount of weirdo cosmetics like school girl outfits, maid outfits and other stuff like that literally on release day; seems like they knew exactly what kind of people usually spend money on these kinds of games and just went all-in day one. The problem with these skins is that for a lot of people including myself it breaks the immersion and the ability to care for the story, the world, and what we as players are fighting for, whenever there is a girl in an oversized dinosaur costume, or a sexy maid outfit running around on the battlefield. One thing is revealing armor, but this is just straight up a lazy cashgrab from the devs (they did not invent anything new or cool to add onto the lore of the characters with their respective skins, instead its the same boring model for thirsty gamers). The mobs are extremely boring and very borrowing design-wise and, honestly, so is the story/lore, except the lore is not borrowing, rather just uninspired af. Example: the first boss you'll fight is literally Urgot from league (its just a coincidence that LOL is extremely popular in Korea where the devs are), also a lot of the enemies youll fight are very reminiscent of destiny and halo. Can't give an example on the lore being boring, because I legit could not care to listen after seing the generic red armor overpowered telekinesis bad guy. Its nice to see cutscenes that don't look completely awful in a F2P game, but the animations in game... oh the animations. They're extremely clunky and feel like this was supposed to be a mobile game. The scopes on sniper rifles look terrible - straight up, so does the UI both in menus and in-game as it seems like it was borrowed from COD mobile. You can show me a F2P game that was made in asia, without telling me it was made in asia and I will be able to tell just by looking at the 2015 cheap mobile game ass UI. Ironsight (also a game by nexon) somehow had better UI than this shite, and that game's relatively old. At this point it is hard to tell if its the lazyness, incompetence or both?? of the developers from asia, but UI design is literally their bane. This is a game that even if it gains popularity will do so not because its a good game, but because theres a severe lack of NEW alternatives in the looter shooter genre. And a starved player who enjoys these sort of games will likely play this and the devs will pray they get him hooked on the monetization of this game, cuz the way it works with these projects is that once any sum of money is in, one ends up in the sunken cost fallacy and just keeps playing even if its no longer enjoyable (same thing happens with time spent as well); and if u say that's not how it works and you personally would never, that you would righteously not spend a penny on this game like it (obviously yeah uhuh) doesn't give you an advantage, congrats you are only a bit smarter than the next guy who actually decided to waste money instead of wasting time on a project like this. I got mixed feelings from the sound design, its mostly fine in the effects department, that is until u listen to the characters speak and especially their catchphrases. They're unbelievably corny and this was actually the last straw for me (again, if u fw that I guess you're not invited to my birthday party, stay inside and theres a new epizode of Demon Slayer coming out soon just for u). While the gameplay itslef is fine (for maybe a couple of hours) the gameplay loop and the mission types are extremely boring (IMHO), coupled with the beforementioned boring enemy design it becomes a snooze fest very quickly. And thats considering I didn't finish the "story", I could not imagine how repetitive it would get without any other sort of stimulation besides from the same loot just different colors after one is done with the sad excuse for a campaign. As per locations we have empty abandoned city with nothing to do in it and then acidic desert (very cool and new), I think I am also missing one, but at least there's a simulacrum from Warframe where you fight bosses guys!! Anyway, I think if you're somewhat reasonable and know how devs scam players for their time and money and you know at least something about game design and don't need a constant flow of dopamine via different color borders around loot u acquire in a repetitive mission while playing a game, I suggest to simply pass by. 2/10.
And you do know that all those elemental types those are also functions in Warr right most of this game took its inspiration from Warf and then to be fair. They did many things better than digital extremes
While there are rolls, I mean there are certain descendants that do a lot of healing or buffing or whatever do a lot of DPS or or a lot of AOEDPS there are different roles. There are no classes. This is a shooter frame is a hero shooter. Destiny is a class shooter.
We got Wisp, then Ivara Prime, Wisp Prime was supposed to be next butt she got nerfed, this game took that nerf reversed engineer it, then put it on bunny volt.

I've watched 2 videos so far introducing this game and I've not seen any rolling. So I guess that's not in the game. Sliding either. I can understand movement like Warframe is too much but aren't those things, rolling and sliding, kinda normal in shooter games now?
Rolling exists. But it gets overshadowed by the grapple I think. Rather then roll and try and dodge. You just find the nearest tall thing and grapple to it
Yeah, I honestly have no reason to play this instead of Warframe. It doesn't seem like it makes anything substantially better, and Warframe comes with an extremely intriguing lore, great writing, and years worth of content. This game would have needed one or more killer features, which would allow it to poach Warframe players.
Tried it out for about 4 hours but i cant get into it. Abilities are pretty lacklustre and you are mostly just holding down the trigger on waves of stupid enemies. It feels like im playing Destany 2 but the mobile version.
Performance wise the game struggles at max settings when there are other people in the game When I'm alone normal but when others I can count the frames
im glad i'm not the only one who's having really bad issues with the game. My rig is suppose to run this on max settings, but it STRUGGLES. I mean, I can't load into an area because it takes FOREVER.
What people also are doing i think. they are comparing to what Warframe and Destiny is NOW to this came on launch. rather to what destiny and warframe was on launch. which was not perfect either. it takes time.
Yea, but both warframe and destiny had a few things going for them. A premise, artstyle/art direction, concepts, etc. They stood out and were unique, those are probably big reasons why both games succeeded. This game doesn’t seem to really have any of that.
Again, dude, critical hit rate or quick chance it’s the same thing critical damage. All those modifiers are in every shooter. Sometimes they’re highly visible in the shooter sometimes they’re they’re not so highly visible or they’re not so you know clear as to what you’re getting out of them, but could chance damage Every shooter I’ve ever played has some version of damage and chance that’s not a destiny thing not a destiny. One thing war frame has those modifiers by the way they go by different names but they exist. Every shooter has some sort or another fallout 76. The fallout series has great damage head shots are great damage shots with vats are different kind of crit damage or crit chance ratherthe Vance is an automatic critical no matter where you had. It’s a critical, but if you hit the head, it’s also a headshot so you do more damage multiplier damage critical damage elemental damage. These are all functions of almost every looter shooter and existence.
A lot like destiny in the layouts and game play. The grapple is a nice touch but I think they should delete its cool down and let us spam it. The control sensitivity is kind of high for me.
One thing I want to mention is this is the most unhelpful aim assist ive ever seen in a video game. Its almost aim botting but uf you want to aim anywhere other than the enemies mid section you will constantly be pulled back to it
To be level 16 for the character and not have a single upgraded mod for the core stats!? Just slapping the ones everyone gets in the first 30 mins and call it a day? Bruhhh. Then again to be locked to just 2 upgrades per mod per mastery rank kinda sucks. And ultimately doesnt bring that much, until you reach something like +80% of "X" element.
All of those things you describe to destiny two are in every single Luder shooter in existence. Credit rate quit damage. Those are all things are in every gun game every single gun game this game doesn’t take from destiny except a couple of minor systems the concept of random stats on weapons also that people describe to Destiny is also in almost every looter shooter. It’s not a destiny thing. It’s just a gun thing. It’s ironically not in Warf, otherwise people would’ve just been saying Warf frame for everything but it’s not in Warf frame a gun is exactly the same every time you loot it except you have to level it up. That’s all there is there’s nothing of comparison to destiny two in this game, other than it has guns.
It’s not very similar it’s exactly the same. You have a certain capacity you put on mods to you know whatever boat crafting reason you put on mods if you want increase the capacity you need a certain thing if you want to change the flour do you need a certain thing this is all exactly copied. I mean, literally exactly copied the fact that there are polarity and there are several different ones copied right out of Warf frame. When I copied I don’t use the same. Use the same concept your descendants usually have one or two polarity right in them before you’ve even started polarity so cut down capacity by putting the right thing in that spot. That’s right out of Warf weapon proficiency frames weapon leveling works the same way too. It gives you mastery level experience just like warfare it gives you mastery rank experience in war frame, you’d love that weapon sell it another level it up again and keep getting mastery rank from it and people say because the weapons have random stats on them, but it’s from division. It’s not from division from almost every litter shooter in existence now the weapon was fixedthat pretty much a unique thing for Warf once you collect the weapon and Warf frame you never have to collect it again. They’re all identical weapon identical how the pieces crafted Destiny is a class based system. This is a hero based system. They’re entirely different games but yes, they both have guns.
2:30 If TFD is P2W warframe is SUPER pay to win, seeing that TFD so far is an easier faster grind with lower crafting rates Will add I haven't had any problems since playing up till getting Freya (servers went down for maintenance) no fps drops are anything. Only downside is I like to move my camera back and it makes using the HC a little annoying since my ads is now also pulled back. Other than that just waiting on servers to come back up.
Although this game looks pretty interesting. People should not invest heavily in this game, at least right away. Nexon has a bad history of releasing good games only to shut them down pretty quickly ( RIP Maplestory 2). also some of their other games are ridiculously grindy such as Mabinogi. Probably don't expect to easily be grinding anything like you can in warframe or destiny 2.
The reason lip syncing is not good is because this is korean game and it was originally synced to korean language. I played entire story in korean with english subtitles and it was very good. English sounds very cringy and bad in this one.

Ehhhh I tried it and yeah the graphics are very high quality, almost too much. I’d love if warframe looked like that. But that’s it. It’s so obviously a Warframe/Destiny clone and even whispers of Anthem. The story isn’t really compelling. The mobility isn’t that fluid. I suppose if I never played Warframe then I’d try it more but it honestly pales in comparison. So, no thanks!
This game has no competitive modes whatsoever. It cannot be paid to win. There’s no leader boards. There’s no comparisons of any kind between various players. It cannot be paid to win. It is actually paid to lose if you buy various boosters, gorgeous feeding yourself speeding up your progression thereby limiting how much fun you can have. The game is paid to lose, when it gets PVP I would say it’s really paid to win or leaderboard were the fastest dungeon clears or whatever something comparable something competitive happens then I would say yes pay to win because you can fax spend money to gain advantage. The problem is without a competition there’s no advantage you’re actually, taking away from your own gameplay by buying your way to the end it’s like skipping to the last book in a series you’re only hurting yourself
you're wrong you can't buy a bunch of maxed out mods the kuiper you can buy is a 1 time thing and youd need to buy both packs to maybe get 1 mod maxed and after that you gotta farm them all you only get 100k roughly from both packs which may not even fully max a mod
Pay to win for you young kids out there is when you use real money currency to get ahead of everyone else in terms of gear and use. IF you can buy armor that boosts your stats, thats pay to win, IF you buy mods that increase your damage ITS PAY TO WIN. Pay for convenience is starting to feel like that term where the CIA sent out "conspiracy theorist" to discredit people who claim something is going on. IF at any point any game gives you the ability to use real money to be better than players who have to grind for the same thing. It is pay to win, no argument needed, Warframe, as fun and amazing and great the game is and the devs are great people. IT IS pay to win, Destiny, well, we all know that one, Diablo 2 was pay to win until they destroyed the trading cash shop.
Win... what exactly? It's a PVE game. You can't pay to "win" a PVE game. You can pay to ... progress faster? Skip Grind? Sure, if "winning" to you is advancing faster/acquiring things faster than OTHER pve players, then it's Pay to Win. But IMO there's nothing to WIN here other than time. Paying to skip grind is a personal choice on if the money is worth it or not. If the game is fun enough to grind it doesn't much matter.
Yea idk, “pay to win” has always meant paying to get some super strong/op advantage that can’t be gained by playing the game normally. I have no idea how shitty Nexon will decide to be since the game has only been out for a day, but depending on the drop chances and so on I’d say it’s just paying to skip some grinding like Warframe has

So that it can seem like paying is a good thing for a head start. If your in a DnD group. And your dungeon master says "Hey, no bags of holdings unless you kill 5 dragons. But I'll let you guys get it now if you give me 5 bucks each." People will look at that DM and immediately stop playing his game. Pay to win should never be acceptable for whatever excuse there is.

Platinum is damn near mandatory for that game. Without premium currency, you can’t get new slots for your warframe, weapons, companions, etc. You also have to sit through long build times (typically after a repetitive, subjectively boring farm. Citrine is the pinnacle of tedium.) This is to encourage the player to gain platinum in some way. Be it trading or buying. A lot of people would call warframe a sort of sandbox game where you experiment with various different mods, weapons, frames, etc. You cant really experiment if slots are holding you back, can you? Most people don’t need to spend MONEY on warframe, but they absolutely need to spend platinum. So while it’s ‘F2P’ for a lot of people, it’s still designed in such a way that platinum is the easy way out. When people call a F2P PvE game P2W, it doesn’t have to refer to pvp. The ‘win’ state can just be having fun/enjoying yourself. So yea, a PvE game can totally be pay to win. Or at least it can be mired and held back by micro-transactions.

Played for a few hours on PS5, already unlocked Bunny. Game ran with no problems. Fairly easy to pickup. Lots to do. The like the combat. Kinda hard in some areas. I found myself looking for walls to shoot from behind. I get a Helldivers2 vibe. The shooting and aiming is important. Line Helldivers. I’m enjoying it.

I would enjoy it more if the microtransaction were not predatory. Having colors be a per skin basis unlock is ridiculous, and the pricing of not only shop items but the Descendants themselves is poor at best. Plus the bundle amounts compared to the shop prices, and the massive amount of grind later in the game that pressures you into buying the characters, and it feels like the fun gameplay is a front for a cash shop. I dont mind buying power as it is your playthrough, it is strictly the prices. Also a more personal note i wish it didnt have bad mmo cosmetics that thematically and stylistically do not fit in the game, like the maid outfits or pajamas.

Didn't know about colors being a per skin basis unlock. Haven't gotten very far just yet, but I heard they were going to change the coloration system to make it more accessible. Guess not. One thing I can definitely gripe about is the fact that you can't seem to recolor the default skins - unless I missed something somewhere. I don't see an option at all.

the bad syncing on the lips from audio is because its native language is korean, its much more enjoyable to swap the voice to korean and just read the subtitles. far better voice acting too
Is there player to player trading? Warframe players being able to trade in game with other players for the cash currency is what really differentiates it from pay to win.

Warframe is still pay to win, very much so especially a new player who has no slots and no access to plat farm along with trading limits. Game opened up to me when I traded for 2 weeks and got around 16k plat which given the time investment and effort I should have just paid DE.
I'm playing multiple games, and since the game came out (over 24 hours now) I didn't try it because a lot of people on Steam were making a big deal out of the privacy agreement. If anyone seeing this comment is like me, and read the entire thing, I did a bunch of extra research + reading to end up realising that this is completely normal. A lot of games do the exact same thing and people are taking this out of proportion, so for instance, the devs wants to know how much space you have in your hardrive, or what brand it is, and people are thinking they are going to steal your pictures. They want to know if you could be cheating, stealing accounts or scamming someone and people think they want to know your entire search history.
I'll agree with the terms tomorrow and finally give the game a try.
Gameplay wise, I had fun.

Honestly I’d just be careful with this release. It doesn’t give off good vibes at all. The constant comparisons to destiny and warframe (or anything similar) always struck me as weird, because this game lacks what makes the other games unique. Its art style is just “whatever,” art direction is just “whatever” characters are bland (and some of their designs are quite tasteless imo), and the story is remarkably uninteresting.
The gameplay is fine I guess, but it’s just not enough for me personally. Not to mention it’s a Nexon title…
This kind of game releases all the time. I’m not sure how long it will last, or long people will be interested in it.
yea thats what happened to me unlocked the venom chick and she had a 16 hour build timer. logged out to try and link my account and it deleted everything. i dont want to redo everything i did so i stopped playing. not bad for a free game and u dont need to spend any money to enjoy this. make sure u link youre account first before u start playing. its free at the end of the day u have nothing to lose from trying it

You're spot on with the monetization. After looking through the cash shop and everything my first impression was "Warframe/Destiny, but Nexon" lol. Not pay2win, but alot of convenience and the cosmetics are imo overpriced.
The game itself pretty much has the same comparison to me. Warframe/Destiny and a bit of Anthem like you mentioned. Very fun - they definitely took down the right notes (and some of the bad ones). Overall I'm really digging it. Taking my time so only level 10 and just got Bunny, but good stuff overall. My current main gripe is not getting all my beta rewards. I'll wait a day and then send in a ticket if nothing changes.

@@simonshura9144as far as I know, you enter a quest to get the drops needed and once you get those drops you have to grind for the materials to craft those drops you then have to wait hours for it to finish crafting, and then get the descendant you want. I don't think beginners will have the patience to grind that much, he won't be getting bunny until hours into the game.
I've played a mission where you escort a drone, you have to be near the drone and it uses your shield as fuel. I wonder where they got this idea from 😂
I was hoping you to talk about weapons and Descendant farm times, for what I've seen so far the drop tables % of the ´´relics´´ are pretty bad even after upgrading them, and I'm not sure if you can choose from the entire squad as you do on Warframe so I'd like to know an average time without counting the resource farm.
You cannot buy two Kiffer you can only buy caliber caliber buys worth of descendants and other things you have to farm Kuiper shards and I’m pretty sure you can’t buy maxed out or to be fair any kind of mods in this game I only recall seeing any category in the shop where I can buy mods
Tried it out on a whim. Game is ok so far. Wish Anthem 2 was juat focused as promised (yes I am aware this is a different company/dev team/publisher). Its a pretty fun game, for sure. Given time I am aure the game will become a blast.
I just hope I don't have to progress that deep into the game for an adequate loot vacuum. If it's in the game at all.
They mentioned companions in either the next season in August or December. So not sure what that companion will do.

The first thing i did was played through the tutorial and then when I got to "homebase", I looked at the "Live service shop".......
I did take a look at these "Ultimates" The "Bunny" Ultamte pack.... First Desendant's Flag ship Waifu.....That is going to run you $105 USD.
I've got about 10 hours into this game. I can see some of the glints of warframe with the mods on the guns and on your Decendant and then that pay to skip time vs grind it out aspect.
But, If we are looking for the "Parents".. It's more like if Outriders and Destiny got into a love triangle with Lineage II. Then Lineage had a baby and it's now trying to guess who's the dad.
Then it got to spend a Summer with Uncle Warframe who taugh them some card tricks to make money off people.
The Lips sink up if you put on the Korean language setting, but I know there's a large swath that don't wabt to have to read sub-titles.
The three gun loadout feels more like Outriders and a gun modification system closer to how you get to Upgrade guns in Fortnite's save the world mode.
The gunplay is just mid. You still have to aim in Warframe, First Decendant just doesn't have beam/chain weapons (as far as I have played.)
The gun design looks like they tried to copy off both of Destiny and Outriders designs. StarField has bad gun designs but they only look slightly better than this game.
Ammo drop rates in missions don't drop the ammo that you are using appropiately and the "ammo" boxes are just hap-hazardly placed on the objective maps.
The Melee hit box is lacking and oddly placed for controller play (Both left and Right bumpers at the same time).
The movement is only slightly better than Outriders, but hey at the very least you can double jump, climb and you got a grappling hook that's too short to be useful.
I have had a couple of the set destination missions lose connection, so you lose the drops and the progress and have to go restart that mission again.
A Mid Game with a pay to get your Husbandu/Waifu's with a pay to dress-up even sexier, Sexy K-Pop shell.
Go play it. If you like it, you like it. But it will fall to the wayside and deleted for space when the next shiny new game comes out.

I still am skeptical about what you said where you can buy fully maxed out mods I don’t recall you’ve been able to buy mods at all in the cash app, but I maybe I just didn’t look hard enough but either way they can’t be paid to win because there’s no competition there’s not even assemblance of competition like Scoreboard or anything so, how can you be? How can you be paid to win? If you don’t even know what the player next to you is is doing or has accomplished maybe there was some kind of scoreboard on who’s finishing interceptor battles faster than other players or something like that, but there isn’t there’s no kind of scoreboard. Nothing there’s no way to compare yourself to other players.
I was rooting for this game to succeed, but if I'm 100% honest I didn't have very much 'fun' playing yesterday.
It's definitley borrowing successful concepts from both Warframe and Destiny, but the core gameplay of 'moving around and shooting stuff' just doesn't feel anywhere near as good as either of those other games at least so far.
The movement feels very clunky to me. I don't want/need Warframe style bullet jumping in a game like this, but a little bit more fluidity would be really nice. The grapple is cool (although it would feel SO much better if it had like 20% more range), but when you aren't using it it kinda just feels like you're 'mall walking' around in the face of gunfire. Increasing the sprint speed a bit and adding something like a knee slide would make it feel way better than it currently does.
The shooting feels clunky to me as well. I get some of this is subjective, but as somebody who prefers and almost exclusively use the Warframe guns you actually do have to aim (I unironically love the Kuva Quartakk and run the Rubico like an assault rifle) I disagree that the gunplay here is better. Some weapons felt better than others (the marksman rifles and hand cannons felt pretty good), but the ARs and SMGs in particular felt very floaty, impercise, and unimpactful at least so far.
I'm rooting for it, but I haven't fallen in love yet.

On the topic of monetization (since it's a nexon game), I think they've done about as well as they could do given who they're working for. I'm happy with it.
However, a battlepass might be a dealbreaker for me - not because it's paid, but because I don't like feeling coerced to play the game

People are already leaving brother, it's a trashy mobile looking game with very repetitive game play, litrally 4 missions in rotation on every map same 4 missions. Lol its bad. But some people let's say people like you may still enjoy it , but for a true gamer we can see how bad and trashy the game is. . No way will this ever be a main game.
I personally dislike the typical glamorous asian gacha game-style design of EVERY character in the game, it also doesn't help that there is an insane amount of weirdo cosmetics like school girl outfits, maid outfits and other stuff like that literally on release day; seems like they knew exactly what kind of people usually spend money on these kinds of games and just went all-in day one. The problem with these skins is that for a lot of people including myself it breaks the immersion and the ability to care for the story, the world, and what we as players are fighting for, whenever there is a girl in an oversized dinosaur costume, or a sexy maid outfit running around on the battlefield. One thing is revealing armor, but this is just straight up a lazy cashgrab from the devs (they did not invent anything new or cool to add onto the lore of the characters with their respective skins, instead its the same boring model for thirsty gamers). The mobs are extremely boring and very borrowing design-wise and, honestly, so is the story/lore, except the lore is not borrowing, rather just uninspired af. Example: the first boss you'll fight is literally Urgot from league (its just a coincidence that LOL is extremely popular in Korea where the devs are), also a lot of the enemies youll fight are very reminiscent of destiny and halo. Can't give an example on the lore being boring, because I legit could not care to listen after seing the generic red armor overpowered telekinesis bad guy.
Its nice to see cutscenes that don't look completely awful in a F2P game, but the animations in game... oh the animations. They're extremely clunky and feel like this was supposed to be a mobile game. The scopes on sniper rifles look terrible - straight up, so does the UI both in menus and in-game as it seems like it was borrowed from COD mobile. You can show me a F2P game that was made in asia, without telling me it was made in asia and I will be able to tell just by looking at the 2015 cheap mobile game ass UI. Ironsight (also a game by nexon) somehow had better UI than this shite, and that game's relatively old. At this point it is hard to tell if its the lazyness, incompetence or both?? of the developers from asia, but UI design is literally their bane.
This is a game that even if it gains popularity will do so not because its a good game, but because theres a severe lack of NEW alternatives in the looter shooter genre. And a starved player who enjoys these sort of games will likely play this and the devs will pray they get him hooked on the monetization of this game, cuz the way it works with these projects is that once any sum of money is in, one ends up in the sunken cost fallacy and just keeps playing even if its no longer enjoyable (same thing happens with time spent as well); and if u say that's not how it works and you personally would never, that you would righteously not spend a penny on this game like it (obviously yeah uhuh) doesn't give you an advantage, congrats you are only a bit smarter than the next guy who actually decided to waste money instead of wasting time on a project like this.
I got mixed feelings from the sound design, its mostly fine in the effects department, that is until u listen to the characters speak and especially their catchphrases. They're unbelievably corny and this was actually the last straw for me (again, if u fw that I guess you're not invited to my birthday party, stay inside and theres a new epizode of Demon Slayer coming out soon just for u).
While the gameplay itslef is fine (for maybe a couple of hours) the gameplay loop and the mission types are extremely boring (IMHO), coupled with the beforementioned boring enemy design it becomes a snooze fest very quickly. And thats considering I didn't finish the "story", I could not imagine how repetitive it would get without any other sort of stimulation besides from the same loot just different colors after one is done with the sad excuse for a campaign. As per locations we have empty abandoned city with nothing to do in it and then acidic desert (very cool and new), I think I am also missing one, but at least there's a simulacrum from Warframe where you fight bosses guys!!
Anyway, I think if you're somewhat reasonable and know how devs scam players for their time and money and you know at least something about game design and don't need a constant flow of dopamine via different color borders around loot u acquire in a repetitive mission while playing a game, I suggest to simply pass by. 2/10.

While there are rolls, I mean there are certain descendants that do a lot of healing or buffing or whatever do a lot of DPS or or a lot of AOEDPS there are different roles. There are no classes. This is a shooter frame is a hero shooter. Destiny is a class shooter.

I've watched 2 videos so far introducing this game and I've not seen any rolling. So I guess that's not in the game. Sliding either. I can understand movement like Warframe is too much but aren't those things, rolling and sliding, kinda normal in shooter games now?
Rolling exists. But it gets overshadowed by the grapple I think. Rather then roll and try and dodge. You just find the nearest tall thing and grapple to it
Yeah, I honestly have no reason to play this instead of Warframe. It doesn't seem like it makes anything substantially better, and Warframe comes with an extremely intriguing lore, great writing, and years worth of content. This game would have needed one or more killer features, which would allow it to poach Warframe players.
Tried it out for about 4 hours but i cant get into it. Abilities are pretty lacklustre and you are mostly just holding down the trigger on waves of stupid enemies. It feels like im playing Destany 2 but the mobile version.

Yea, but both warframe and destiny had a few things going for them. A premise, artstyle/art direction, concepts, etc. They stood out and were unique, those are probably big reasons why both games succeeded.
This game doesn’t seem to really have any of that.
Again, dude, critical hit rate or quick chance it’s the same thing critical damage. All those modifiers are in every shooter. Sometimes they’re highly visible in the shooter sometimes they’re they’re not so highly visible or they’re not so you know clear as to what you’re getting out of them, but could chance damage Every shooter I’ve ever played has some version of damage and chance that’s not a destiny thing not a destiny. One thing war frame has those modifiers by the way they go by different names but they exist. Every shooter has some sort or another fallout 76. The fallout series has great damage head shots are great damage shots with vats are different kind of crit damage or crit chance ratherthe Vance is an automatic critical no matter where you had. It’s a critical, but if you hit the head, it’s also a headshot so you do more damage multiplier damage critical damage elemental damage. These are all functions of almost every looter shooter and existence.

A lot like destiny in the layouts and game play. The grapple is a nice touch but I think they should delete its cool down and let us spam it. The control sensitivity is kind of high for me.
One thing I want to mention is this is the most unhelpful aim assist ive ever seen in a video game. Its almost aim botting but uf you want to aim anywhere other than the enemies mid section you will constantly be pulled back to it
To be level 16 for the character and not have a single upgraded mod for the core stats!? Just slapping the ones everyone gets in the first 30 mins and call it a day? Bruhhh.
Then again to be locked to just 2 upgrades per mod per mastery rank kinda sucks. And ultimately doesnt bring that much, until you reach something like +80% of "X" element.

All of those things you describe to destiny two are in every single Luder shooter in existence. Credit rate quit damage. Those are all things are in every gun game every single gun game this game doesn’t take from destiny except a couple of minor systems the concept of random stats on weapons also that people describe to Destiny is also in almost every looter shooter. It’s not a destiny thing. It’s just a gun thing. It’s ironically not in Warf, otherwise people would’ve just been saying Warf frame for everything but it’s not in Warf frame a gun is exactly the same every time you loot it except you have to level it up. That’s all there is there’s nothing of comparison to destiny two in this game, other than it has guns.

I mean, literally exactly copied the fact that there are polarity and there are several different ones copied right out of Warf frame. When I copied I don’t use the same. Use the same concept your descendants usually have one or two polarity right in them before you’ve even started polarity so cut down capacity by putting the right thing in that spot. That’s right out of Warf weapon proficiency frames weapon leveling works the same way too. It gives you mastery level experience just like warfare it gives you mastery rank experience in war frame, you’d love that weapon sell it another level it up again and keep getting mastery rank from it and people say because the weapons have random stats on them, but it’s from division. It’s not from division from almost every litter shooter in existence now the weapon was fixedthat pretty much a unique thing for Warf once you collect the weapon and Warf frame you never have to collect it again. They’re all identical weapon identical how the pieces crafted Destiny is a class based system. This is a hero based system. They’re entirely different games but yes, they both have guns.

Will add I haven't had any problems since playing up till getting Freya (servers went down for maintenance) no fps drops are anything. Only downside is I like to move my camera back and it makes using the HC a little annoying since my ads is now also pulled back. Other than that just waiting on servers to come back up.
Although this game looks pretty interesting. People should not invest heavily in this game, at least right away. Nexon has a bad history of releasing good games only to shut them down pretty quickly ( RIP Maplestory 2). also some of their other games are ridiculously grindy such as Mabinogi. Probably don't expect to easily be grinding anything like you can in warframe or destiny 2.
A word for it would be "Pay to Play Less"
The reason lip syncing is not good is because this is korean game and it was originally synced to korean language. I played entire story in korean with english subtitles and it was very good. English sounds very cringy and bad in this one.

This game is a soulless cash grab has not one ounce of creativity to the story it's all about selling your 3rd party data that they straight up just say it too if you read no one reads the thing that you sign electronically bro I literally started to fall asleep in like two hours that's not good for a new game nothing felt original at all bunny her voice was so cringe my God none of it was interesting they spent all their time on that trailer that they blasted over and over and over again online I'm sure you saw it it was way better Looking then the game itself to just bring people in yeah it's a super hard pass for me no thanks I actually have money to buy video games I have so much backlog there's no reason for me to play anything like this sure if you're broke and you don't got two pennies to rub together then cool play it I guess I'm all set plus it's optimized really bad my gpu my 3080 12 gigabyte version was at 80 degrees Celsius on high settings for 1440p yeah no No other game does that to my GPU
I can't find anyone to play with in my public groups. Solo, the content is too hard.
A big issue I have is ammo. I never use my shotguns bc the special ammo rarely drops. Also I absolutely hate the voice acting. It’s corny af.
Ehhhh I tried it and yeah the graphics are very high quality, almost too much. I’d love if warframe looked like that. But that’s it. It’s so obviously a Warframe/Destiny clone and even whispers of Anthem. The story isn’t really compelling. The mobility isn’t that fluid. I suppose if I never played Warframe then I’d try it more but it honestly pales in comparison. So, no thanks!
This game has no competitive modes whatsoever. It cannot be paid to win. There’s no leader boards. There’s no comparisons of any kind between various players. It cannot be paid to win. It is actually paid to lose if you buy various boosters, gorgeous feeding yourself speeding up your progression thereby limiting how much fun you can have. The game is paid to lose, when it gets PVP I would say it’s really paid to win or leaderboard were the fastest dungeon clears or whatever something comparable something competitive happens then I would say yes pay to win because you can fax spend money to gain advantage. The problem is without a competition there’s no advantage you’re actually, taking away from your own gameplay by buying your way to the end it’s like skipping to the last book in a series you’re only hurting yourself

you're wrong you can't buy a bunch of maxed out mods the kuiper you can buy is a 1 time thing and youd need to buy both packs to maybe get 1 mod maxed and after that you gotta farm them all you only get 100k roughly from both packs which may not even fully max a mod

Pay to win for you young kids out there is when you use real money currency to get ahead of everyone else in terms of gear and use. IF you can buy armor that boosts your stats, thats pay to win, IF you buy mods that increase your damage ITS PAY TO WIN. Pay for convenience is starting to feel like that term where the CIA sent out "conspiracy theorist" to discredit people who claim something is going on. IF at any point any game gives you the ability to use real money to be better than players who have to grind for the same thing. It is pay to win, no argument needed, Warframe, as fun and amazing and great the game is and the devs are great people. IT IS pay to win, Destiny, well, we all know that one, Diablo 2 was pay to win until they destroyed the trading cash shop.
Win... what exactly? It's a PVE game. You can't pay to "win" a PVE game. You can pay to ... progress faster? Skip Grind? Sure, if "winning" to you is advancing faster/acquiring things faster than OTHER pve players, then it's Pay to Win. But IMO there's nothing to WIN here other than time. Paying to skip grind is a personal choice on if the money is worth it or not. If the game is fun enough to grind it doesn't much matter.
Yea idk, “pay to win” has always meant paying to get some super strong/op advantage that can’t be gained by playing the game normally. I have no idea how shitty Nexon will decide to be since the game has only been out for a day, but depending on the drop chances and so on I’d say it’s just paying to skip some grinding like Warframe has

So that it can seem like paying is a good thing for a head start. If your in a DnD group. And your dungeon master says "Hey, no bags of holdings unless you kill 5 dragons. But I'll let you guys get it now if you give me 5 bucks each." People will look at that DM and immediately stop playing his game. Pay to win should never be acceptable for whatever excuse there is.

Warframe has trading. I don’t need to spend money on it, but someone does. Platinum is damn near mandatory for that game. Without premium currency, you can’t get new slots for your warframe, weapons, companions, etc. You also have to sit through long build times (typically after a repetitive, subjectively boring farm. Citrine is the pinnacle of tedium.)
This is to encourage the player to gain platinum in some way. Be it trading or buying.
A lot of people would call warframe a sort of sandbox game where you experiment with various different mods, weapons, frames, etc. You cant really experiment if slots are holding you back, can you?
Most people don’t need to spend MONEY on warframe, but they absolutely need to spend platinum. So while it’s ‘F2P’ for a lot of people, it’s still designed in such a way that platinum is the easy way out.
When people call a F2P PvE game P2W, it doesn’t have to refer to pvp. The ‘win’ state can just be having fun/enjoying yourself.
So yea, a PvE game can totally be pay to win. Or at least it can be mired and held back by micro-transactions.
