Well RIP takara new MPG line. These things just stole the show in design, size, and price. Glad I got my pre order in on the whole set

I love combiners. I especially like the amazing redesigns of Transformers from the original generation since the later combiners had terrible animation back then and the toy versions didn’t translate so well. These things are awesome feats of engineering.

Seriously hope Moon studio can finish this line before the cease and desist letter drop in because this is miles better than Takara in any way, also they should be wary of Tokyo railway as well for using those train models.
Those letters amounted to exactly jack and squat when it came to releasing their Unicron, and that was more due to how much harm it was causing to their very expensive crowdfunding campaign. This release will do just fine regardless of what Takara has to say about it.
the price is also much more friendly if to compare with the MPG

Oh wow, I didn't even realize that they're actually got some size to them.
Awesome look at these figures. I wish they used more paint tho. They have a more toy look than a Masterpiece look because of it. Particularly 1:45 where the feet are kind of bland. In the video the white and green one in robot mode also comes across as more of a toy as well at first, but when you were spinning them around the light helped make them both pop.

Glad I have all of Moon Studios Raiden set on Pre ordered. All I have to say to Takara for there 1st Combiner which they are doing the same character, RIP. This will be 50cm tall which is the same as TW Devastator and the other Zeta Combiners. And Takara's is rumoured to be only 29cm.
I did the same, already pre order right when it came out first. Glad I am not one of those official fanboy :)
I had been assuming 45cm for Takara (or whatever CW/UW Devastator is), didn't care enough to actually look into it. if 29cm is right that makes it SOOOO much worse than I had believed. They are supposed to be "Masterpiece" and that is barely taller than Optimus.
Hasbro/Takara have made some wierd decisions recently, but at nearly £1k for an mp combiner that kind of scale would kill it dead for many.
@@koresoteira447 I'm hoping he is wrong on the 29cm. I haven't seen it anywhere else, though I admit I was never in on Takara to begin with so I don't care enough to go looking for the info since I don't intend to spread it. If I was going to repeat it elsewhere I would want to verify it though.

This set and the MMC Protectobots may be the only transformers I buy this year. If NewAge would make an MP scaled version of their not-Devastator I would be all over it price permitting. But I bet the price would be ugly, I would expect $130+ for each.

Dammit I was going to wait because I hate parts forming. Its obvious zeta is going to use hips and toro for scale but it just rubs me the wrong way. These look freaking awesome with Takara being chug scale and expensive I might just pre order the set. Nice video btw thanks.
I don't know about other parts (hands and head could both either be built in or not at this point we haven't seen enough to be certain), but the torso other than the chest shield is the actual figures. If you look carefully at the prototypes of the two torso figures you can see they make up the combined mode torso. The "collar" behind the chest shield you can see is the front of the upper torso's train mode. Looking very carefully at the combiner thighs you can see where they become the lower torso figure's legs, and also see some more of the combined mode behind the head of the lower torso figure's bot mode.

Before Railracer… there was Raiden.
"Lol" at the people writing off Takara's MP version of Raiden with little to no evidence of how they'll hold up long-term. For all you know, the combiner for these guys could be utter shit.
Take a look at every 3P combiner and tell me more than five of them really pulled through.
Anything ZETA toys was great, plus TW's Structor, but other than that, the rest were good but lacking. Of course these extremely rough stats will change with time and this comment may age poorly but right now, as of 2021, we have NO idea what Takara is capable of in terms of MP-grade combiner.
So why don't we all just relax and see what these companies have in store for us?
Zeta and tw and moon studio are basically the same so based on the ones you liked you can expect this to be good. I think zeta and TW cheated too much with combiner parts so no effort really needed to be put into combined mode engineering. However that makes them display well in all 3 modes which I care less about. For me the MMC Assaultus Bruticus is the only combiner that pulled off being a combiner in terms of engineering
That's a great idea. I'm not in on either set,they are still interesting to me though. The price is concerning. The Moon Studio is most likely going to be a little over half the price of Takara. And also the scale. Some of the reviewers I watch are saying that the Takara mp is going to be CHUG scale. But it may be better quality,who knows.
Their robot designs seem so basic...

The Green and White in the video is Yukikaze which forms the Left Leg, Getsuei is the Dark blue one who forms the Right leg, Kaen is forming the crotch and Shouki, the leader, forms the torso and most likely the head, Suiken is the right arm and Seizan is the left arm.
If the next two transformers come out this month then the whole team will probably be released some time in December to early January, just my prediction.
If you look up Moon Studio "Radiation" then some preorder sales will show up, in the images of those sales, you can see the combiner in black and white, since the other four bots don't got colors, there is no real coloring for the combiner but will most definitely be close to the G1 color. The scale is going to be about the same or taller than most Zeta Toy stuff.
