They were so high here. Road Dogg comes off so bitter in these old interviews. Very unlikable. Its entertaining to watch, but these guys both ended up going back to Vince and co. in the end. All the shit talking is meaningless.

Vince declared war way before these two guys did their comedy thing in dx. You know, when he literally named raw, raw is war and then the warzone for the second hour. Being Austin's crash dummy didn't help establish him, he was already way over before the new dx entered into the picture in 98. Same with the Rock, he didn't need bad ass billy Gunn's stamp of approval to reach where he did. In fact when it was gunns turn to try and make it to the main event he couldn't talk so rock buried him. That's the attitude era in a nutshell and pretty much all the other wrestling organizations. You can't hang on the mic you're gonna get buried. Foley, Rock and Austin were the best talkers by far at the time.
