Can't believe people keep falling for the IV Games shtick again and again. Spend a lot on art and overproduce your game to the limit, create nice ads and see how nobody ever talks about how great the gameplay is. They just eat that stuff right up
@@BoardGameCo That's fine. But would you ever say any of these games are in your Top 20? There is a reason they never show up on any Top 10 or Top 20 lists. IV Games makes solid games that look super nice. That is their way. Just please let's not pretend that any of these games are truly amazing. They have yet to show they can knock it out the park and match their production values with equally good gameplay.
I want to back Luthier, and I am definitely backing Dinogenics. Luthier because I gane tested the game, and it's good. Dinogenics because it's on my Top 10 Favorite Games of All Time.
CMON has commented on the Marvel/DC United compatibility in a vague enough way. They have said that all games in the United series are compatible. They avoided specifying that Marvel is compatible with DC but since that's the only other in the series so far, it's obvious.
Terrorscape is the type of game I love, both hidden movement, many versus one, and horror themed. Didn't back the first time, because it was a decent amount of money for an unproven game, and horror games don't have the best record. So I was happy to see it ended up being a great game and is coming back. Good games always end up coming back for another campaign.
Yeah for me Odalin, maybe Kemet, Terrorscape, maybe Brink, maybe Sirens, and Sovereign is ending in July. Reading that out loud, that is too much. I'll have to see what gets cut.
@@lystic9392 I’m currently backing Odalin, but am having second thoughts. The gameplay to me looks kinda underwhelming. My Alex will be able to post his content before the end of the campaign.
@@CohMa To me it looks like Gloomhaven made more fun, with less of a time limit (cards running out) and more riddles and stuff. It also seems very Diablo-esque which is a big draw for me. There's two parts I'm not 100% on, and that's the player progression (1 card after each session I think?) and the chaos vs order balancing act. But it sounds like the chaos vs order element will have tie ins to the story and is basically like alignment or the balance of the force just not between good and evil. I'm intrigued, personally, but yes it would be very useful to hear Alex's take on things.
What is your ranking of the 3 existing 20 Strong decks? Or maybe you can rank those with Tanglewoods: Red in that video when it's released? It would help me decide which decks to get in addition to the 3 new decks during the campaign. Right now I'm thinking of just adding the Too Many Bones deck since I love Too Many Bones.
This month could get expensive for me. I’m interested in 20 Strong Tanglewoods, Brink, Luthier, and may go for DC United. I know there’s a couple more I’m intrigued by, but I may refrain. Thanks for the informative video as always.

I believe Dinogenics and Dead Reckoning are both August campaigns. I could be wrong but I looked into both and believe I saw delayed dates pushing the campaigns into August.

@@JohnClem56 And here in Canada, houses in the 60's and 70s were commonly a more clean ceiling plaster, or worse, spray popcorn ceiling. I think that spray popcorn ceiling was the most common, and of course, those before the 80s have a high chance of asbestos.
Why are all the board game content creators completely silent on the recent MAJOR news that Hans im Gluck is claiming they own the trademark to the term "Meeple" along with the design of the traditional meeple figure, and are currently sending out cease and desist letters to people? Are they afraid the gravy train from publishers will stop if they speak out against this?
What an interesting assumption. I've talked about it twice now, on both of my recent week in reviews. I've called them out directly that it's a bad look. And I know of several other content creators who have done the same....maybe instead of assuming, you can ask in a way that is less of an attack.

The only campaign i am interested waiting to get launch date is Cyberpunk 2077 the Board game from Go On Board.
Re: Dinogenics, the last post I saw from them said August 6th is the planned launch date, so we'll probably see it in your video again next month.
