^T9a ,oi44e^his is exactly how I got my job running sound for live TV station, they also had live bands or singers on every night and I knew absolutely noth*ing about mixing live music or OTA (Over The Air) sound,. the only experience in sound I had was running a little recording studio with 2 friends, we had a Dell PC and a little 6 Channel Sound Board, Mic & Midi. But at the TV station their Sound Board cost a ¼ Million and had 60 Channels with 12 sub channels (which make live mixing so easy). So the guy that I was replacing had this really good gig he was moving up too and I could tell that the only thing keeping him from leaving was having to train me so I got the quickest run down of mixing live music which was so easy to forget because I didn't learn anything correctly… its like I knew kinda what to do but I didn't know why I was doing it… I didn't know the purpose behind any of the buttons I was pushing just what time to push them which made made what I learned feel hollow… and your short reminded me of that… He made lots of sticky notes and was like "Your gonna do great kid, your on live in 5 minutes, I gotta go it was nice knowing ya!" I messed up a lot and eventually found someone with patience to show me the ropes before I lost my job so it worked out.
@@crystalphantasm to be fair you can have them set up that way, but it takes some knowledge of your daw and the ability to get a drum loop in the first place lol
I was really looking forward to seeing how his classical composing competence and lack of uh hip-hop competence would lead to him creating something novel and fresh that works...😅
