Daiya Seto from Tokyo Frog Kings and Caeleb Dressel from Cali Condors started equally fast.
At the 100m mark, Daiya posted a 27.98 back split, becoming the lead of the race.
Caeleb picked up a pace, splitting 25.72.
But Seto didn’t slow down and finished first with a time of 1:51.12, winning 12 points.
Dressel came second in 1:51.14, just 0.02 seconds apart.

バッタフリーは圧倒的に差があるし200もドレセルはイけるタイプだしね、どれだけ瀬戸がターンやドルフィン、ペース配分が上手いか分かるレース
にしても短距離専門であろうドレセルが200でここまでやれるっていうのがバケモンよな

@@theangryegg8458 Where did they mention this? coz I was shocked Dressel was only 47 in the 100 free relay. If he was not sick, he could have a good chance at beating seto
@Meagan Brooks he went the 8th fastest time of all time and used to have the short course American record……
@Meagan Brooks he didn’t get I’ll from the event 💀 his normal schedule is insanely hard the 2 I’m wasn’t even much worse he just got sick. A normal swim practice is harder than his schedule

@@bozjidar1720 He dropeed about 1.8 seconds in the 100m IM over the 2020 season. If he drops that much time in the 200m IM he breaks the WR.
@@verward It was wondering for me, that he had swum so well. He is 50, 100m specialist. If he sometimes decide to swim 200m distant, nobody has chance break futured WR on 200m IM.
I think if he swam this rested he goes atleast 1:49 high
Bro, if Dressel didn't quit for the rest of the regular season he probably would have improved a lot and probably take some wins in the process. He went 1:51.1 on his first time swimming the event. Not that many people can do that. Just unbelievable.
@Meagan Brooks oh I'm not saying he shouldn't have taken this rest. I'm simply dreaming about what would have been if he kept racing.
