We need to take a moment and realize that Danci is a superior singer. The high notes this woman can hit effortlessly is truly incredible and I do not think anyone on planet earth can say they have seen anyone hit high notes like this with their mouth not moving. She's just incredible.

Not trying to diss on anyone’s comments, but as we are all armchair experts, as expected we all have our favourite characters, moments, Comedic lines, song choices, etc, etc. personally I love this performance particularly the times Petunia went berserk with the high notes etc.
I love the girl so much, I have blind faith in the fact that she will get it right whatever she does. Having been told she’s currently worth $8 million, she can’t be doing too much wrong. I fully believe this girl, (and her advisors) Will know when the time is right to propagate her image, characters, performance etc. To me she is an absolute little genius, and if science was her thing, she would be Albert Einstein. Then again perhaps I’m just a highly besotted, delusional, hapless fan, but more than happy to accept such a tag.

The Bosh. Referring back to AGT champions, when you said what’s wrong with you America? Have you since found out that it wasn’t America that voted? The silly producers, set up a group of 50 people they called “Superfans”. And only those 50 voted. We all know what would’ve happened if America voted, anyone with half a brain knows that all that brilliance you spoke of meant she deserved to win. I’ll bet if they run another champions contest they won’t make the same mistake. I’m a huge Beatles fan, and I never thought that I would be putting another performer ahead of the worlds greatest musical act, but I am. You have trouble explaining it, and I don’t think anyone can find enough words to describe how absolutely brilliant that girl is.

This is a response to James Frost's "Scarlet" comment, but I will post it separately, since it may have general interest. When asked, Darci usually leaves the question of a new character enticingly open. Rebooting Scarlet is an interesting idea, especially as it addresses the potential interactions among Darci's characters. Of the four current ones, I think only Oscar and Petunia have appeared together (bickeringly competitive, but reconciled), although some other opinions among the characters have surfaced (e.g., Oscar finds "Grammy" Edna a bit repulsive, Katie is jealous of Petunia's fame, Katie likes to lasso Oscar). It would be fun to see Darci explore this area more, and as you say, a "tempering" Scarlet character could be a potential balance to the personality quirks (flaws?) of the others. But hopefully not enough to completely reform them. ;)
On a more general note, it would be nice to see more such thoughtful comments about Darci and her talents and characters. Compared to the embryonic cottage industry of comments about Darci on this site, those on Grace seem at times like a torrential industrial revolution. Not to take anything at all away from Grace and her fans, but why should Grace get ALL the serious consideration? Just because Darci's approach to entertainment is largely comedic does not mean it should be dismissed as unworthy of thought. Are such discussions just too wonky for most adult Darci fans?

If you had trouble hearing Petunia, it's either a technical glitch on your end, or you need to visit an audiologist. :)

I agree that there is something SLIGHTLY off with this segment, but it is NOT in Darci's performance per se, which shows the same excellent ventriloquism and singing skills as in all her other performances. All of Darci's other ventriloquist performances induce in the audience the emotions of either humor or wonderment or both. The humor in the songs may be either direct (Show Off, where Petunia says funny things) or situational (Natural Woman, where Edna sets up a funny situation with Simon). The wonderment may be in the "how does she do that?" feeling as with duets, yodeling, or opera.
It's a Man's World somehow does not seem like a song that the diva child Petunia would choose to sing, and Petunia does not produce an obvious humorous component to the song. Thus, I think this song would be more effective if either Darci sang it by herself as a "serious" song like Feeling Good (forget the ventriloquist angle altogether for this song), or else have Edna sing it to give it a humorous slant. Edna could potentially (if some nuances were added in) set up another situational humor occasion where she, being older and more "experienced," can sing about what is really important in this world. I guess picking certain songs for certain situations is a judgement call, and there is no right or wrong, just more or less effective outcomes. The only reason I can even suggest these possibilities is that Darci has already been so good at establishing believable, strong, independent personalities for her characters. Just a fan's two cents worth. :)

I like the way you do your reactions and I was wondering if yo do singers from the sixties and and seventies In particular, Karen Carpenter used to refer to herself as a drummer who can sing, Judith Durham with The Seekers and. later one , Amira Willighagen a young Dutch girl who exploded on to th scene in 2003 and is still going strong on South Africa wth the Coleske Bros singing classical and crossover songs. He has just turned 16 years of age on march 27 this year. She is also self taught , sings opera like a professional and in approx 11 languages. She won Hollands Got Talent at the age of nine we got over 60% of the votes.

I do not fully agree with William Blaker's argument. I think Darci should introduce a new character, or rather re-imagine Scarlet the fox which she used in one of the pre-AGT videos. Scarlet is older than Petunia and well aware that she is attractive and therefore more suited to more mature songs. The character in the video is a Southern Belle who is conceited. I think the conceit should be dropped and the idea of Southern manners should be pushed. She could be upset with Katie's manners, frustrated by Petunia's thoughtlessness but most importantly she could fix what I think is a flaw with Oscar. Right now he falls in love with random women, making him similar to Edna. He needs to direct his romantic energy toward one constant character. Scarlet could see him as friend and nothing more, but he could be determined to win her. His dogged persistence would make him more endearing. But what do I know?

James Frost . I heard that Darci is currently worth $8 million. Have you heard the old saying? “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”

@@rickydarcilover5581 That does not work in the entertainment industry. Performers must continue to grow, or their material becomes too familiar and they get accused of being stale.

James Frost . PS. We all have different likes and dislikes, and personally my least favourite of DarcI’s puppets is Scarlet the Fox. It didn’t come across to me as a real creature, the way her current four do. As stated we’ve all got different opinions.

Ciao The Bosh. Perhaps you're not interesting in dress and outfit but - as i've jet told - i'm italian and in my country fashion is very important ! So even if i love love love Darci and all her puppets i don't like very much this 2 dress of Petunia. I think she's really a diva and deserve outfit more rich ( as that for the finali with Winston for example) do you agree with me? Another thing: I am the subscribed (?) Nr. 204. 👋🐸
