I love Darci’s extraordinary talent. What I love even more is what a humble sweet genuine person she is. Some people are worried that the industry will change her. But not me, after reading what she said in an interview. ‘I haven’t had my Miley Cyrus phase yet.’ That comment speaks volumes. It says she knows how Miley messed up. And it says she’s planning to guard against doing the same thing. She is one of the most beautiful people on the planet
My biggest problem with this performance is that the producers decided to edit out a lot of it. I have had confirmation from Misty Farmer that there was more dialogue at the start, and there is a bit of the song missing too.
Another thing... The editing (thanks for the info) explains why I always thought that her dialogue intro to this particular AGT Champions opera performance was much more abrupt than is typical for her.
Thanks for another great reaction video. I have watched all of Darci's AGT videos many times, and you still catch things that I had not seen before. When you get through these, you should comment on some of her many non-AGT performances found on RUclips. For example, Darci has a different pre-AGT Edna performance at Oklahoma Vaudeville.
I plan on doing just that William. One I'm really looking forward to is her rendition of " Mary did you know" from her Christmas special..... Although how do I react to such a flawless performance I'll never know... Lol
The Bosh! . William is right. The performance with Edna at the Young Ones Theatre, in Oklahoma is very special. Edna sings a rap song at the end, which to be honest it’s not my kind of music, puppet or no puppet. However most of the performance is pure comedy and the crowd goes nuts. When Edna said, ‘Oh no you’ve taken me to......( no spoiler alert. ), you’ll hear a loud banging noise. That’s the sound of some guy in the audience who is so blown away by the joke that he bangs his hand on something. Her jokes I’m told are created by Darci, her family, and coach, But it’s her delivery that is astonishing.
@@donaldthomas7070 Yes. The line "Well, without me you don't have a college fund" was said by Edna in that performance which was her first public appearance. And the joke has been used off and on ever since.
She's already, at age 14(?) here, one of the best ventriloquists on the planet--and a damned fine singer, to boot. Terry Fator, another one from AGT, has been immensely successful, but I think Darci will eclipse him. I always have to pick my jaw up off the floor after one of her performances. How she came in second to Shin Lim mystifies me--not that Shin Lim isn't extraordinary, but, c'mon!
Well, for one, the voting system on Champions was different in that a special selected group of fans voted on the contestants instead of the American public calling in to vote. If the voting had been open, I bet she would have won.

It was all the "super fans" (they are all members of the US Magic Club) that didn't vote for Darci. There is a video that has the "6 best Ventriloquists from got talent global" and there is a lady from Europe in the group....she sings opera, BUT NOT WITH THE PUPPET! It is truly amazing that Darci can do that.
AGT Champions only has about 50 judges that select for advancement, not America. Seems that America did voice their dismay and that got her the wild card to return. She is the only known ventriloquist that sings opera.
@@thebosh7801, yes I remember reading in Wikipedia that the format of the "AGT: Champions" competition was somewhat different from that of the regular shows, but I don't recall all of the details. I'm also not sure how the different format was justified, or if that's even discussed in the article.

Too bad. Was it more like her Madison Square Garden and Television Academy opera performances with the "Olive Garden" joke?

The whole series was pre-recorded between the end of agt season and the agt vegas live show very hard to have live voting on a pre-recorded show.
