I really liked how it turned out. That mudder look fits what my friends had with their Broncos, Pickups, and even Suburbans back in the day. Doing a 4 or 6 inch lift kit was all the craze, especially in the 70's when Big Foot first hit the scene. Nice project!
I thought a restoration was when you made it just like it was before? Really does not matter I guess because it still looks Awesome! Love the new motorcycle paint.
Thank you for posting so many links. That is so helpful to know exactly what people use. The Bronco turned out great. Reminds me of the Blue/Tan Bronco I learned how to drive on.
love the way that bronco turned out.ive seen that traxxas.com rc company has made the same bronco and they did one hell of a job making it look like older style.two thumbs up this restoration.
What an awesome transformation!! I love the blue and I love the wheels I don’t care if it rolls lol!!! Nice touch with the orange paint on the motorcycle too 👍🏻👍🏻
Great restoration. I searched this video today as I actually bought that exact model from a car boot sale here in the U.K. for 50p. It’s beat up like the one in your video so I’m looking forward to restoring it.
older vid i know but i like that u painted the bike and the interior. i respect alot of the other guys doing a strict restoration but i like a little more detail work like you did.
I think the restore was fine, and it looked good, you did it for your collection in a style you liked, and you saved it from the trash bin, Great Job< I would have liked the wheels to roll but it looked great.
I must have had this model growing up...or some other association to it. Seeing the black Bronco with yellow and orange stripes took me right back to my childhood. Great video. +Sub
EXCELLENT JOB, especially with the Paint Techniques! However, I so wished you Restored to Original parts and paint. Maybe it's just TOO HARD but I think that's what Vintage Hot Wheels are ALL ABOUT. The way you feel when you see that Original Restoration is PRICELESS>
estimated purchase price:$0.35, estimated cost in restoration: $65.00, estimated pleasure associated with love of the craft and joy for ones toys? PRICELESS! Awesome video man!
When I was a kid one of my neighbors had the black ford pickup with the rainbow stripes like your bronco. And then he bought a 2nd one... I think his plan was to use the 2nd one as a parts truck because northern winters had taken its toll on the 1st truck. That crazy paint scheme really stood out. Very 70's.
Love the look... To those saying this is not a restoration... Yes, it in fact *is* a restoration... It's called a "custom restoration"... And there is a way to make it roll fairly smooth... Grinding the axel mounts, adding spacers, lowering the axel providing space between the tyres and body... A virtual lift kit like you would put on the real life Ford Bronco...
Love it!!!! If you wanted you could Dremel out the wheel wells a bit to clear the tires. That's how we do it on full size ones. Just clear them out up to that next line.
Also try plastic glass cleaner like rejuvenate. Its a powder product added to water that bars use. Soak for a few minutes in hot water then rinse. It works really well.
Great restoration. I recommend using the wheels from Hot Wheels Premium VW Baja Bug that fit really well (considering sizes & the length of axle). And it rolls for sure😊
It looks great , good job , I just really dig the original paint job with the bronco decal on the hood and the stripes on the side , wish you would have recreated that it’s probably really hard though
The wheels and tires look good on it imo how hot wheels should habe made all off road vehicles to begin with sure wish i had some of the ones i had when i was a kid 40 years ago some of them are worth some money I think i may take the metal detector out back im sure some are still burried there from near 40 years ago
That's a really nice Job 👍 👍 👍 I did a picture for a friend of mine at the Studio I go to of a '78 Bronco , so seeing this one, you've done is just great ☺
Nice, slightly darker than Ford's french blue but still looks great. Adding a white stripe down the sides and white canopy like the full size Bronco would've looked mint, great job regardless.
Great work per usual!! If I may make a suggestion, and if your not averse to ordering from a web service, I suggest that you look into meguires line of paint polishes and finish care - a little bit pricier compared to turtle wax, but far superior - their retail line is ok, but their "pro" line of products is what I'd suggest - I know the paint on your projects are obviously thinner than on actual cars, but in some cases you might be able to polish and wax original paint versus stripping - just a thought - and no I don't work for meguires, but I did detail cars for a time and I stand by their products!
Amazing very nice hotweels model.. only thing I didn't like was the plain blue or blue in that case the original black with the sides and the hood look pretty cool and of it's era the 80s... but the bike was awesome u paint it amazing job as usual
Prefer the original 70's paint job to be honest
So do I. The actual ‘78-79 Bronco had a model much like this.
Agree! That paint was absolutely beautiful and 80ish
Me too. so flat now. The old one had soul.
G morgs "restoration"
Some things are best left alone, it didn't need restoring :(
I really liked how it turned out. That mudder look fits what my friends had with their Broncos, Pickups, and even Suburbans back in the day. Doing a 4 or 6 inch lift kit was all the craze, especially in the 70's when Big Foot first hit the scene. Nice project!
As a 47 year old man who played with HW’s as most of us did, these are really fun to watch! Thanks for making them!
Thanks for watching!
Original color much better..
riza yanuar '78 right?
Moab T. Frican..absolutely
Yea, i think that too,
I thought a restoration was when you made it just like it was before?
Really does not matter I guess because it still looks Awesome!
Love the new motorcycle paint.
Right?
I just found this in 02/2018!! This is freaking awesome!!! I’m 40 years old. I will try this in a couple days
Thank you for posting so many links. That is so helpful to know exactly what people use. The Bronco turned out great. Reminds me of the Blue/Tan Bronco I learned how to drive on.
Thank you!
The old paint style was sick.
Same, my grandparents have this one from when my mom was a kid lol
I’d love to see him re-do this in the original paint scheme.
love the way that bronco turned out.ive seen that traxxas.com rc company has made the same bronco and they did one hell of a job making it look like older style.two thumbs up this restoration.
Doug Paulson I thought of the same Thing from Traxxas with their TRX-4 I thought I was the only one😂
What an awesome transformation!! I love the blue and I love the wheels I don’t care if it rolls lol!!! Nice touch with the orange paint on the motorcycle too 👍🏻👍🏻
Here's an idea: compilations of your BEFOREs and AFTERs.
Wow, the green plastic windows look good considering the time that's passed. Reminds me of the old ones I had with the same color windshield
Great restoration. I searched this video today as I actually bought that exact model from a car boot sale here in the U.K. for 50p. It’s beat up like the one in your video so I’m looking forward to restoring it.
I love doing my hobby’s and all but I now absolutely love these hot wheels videos by you now... it’s HYPNOTIC
I'm 48, and seeing this toy made memories come flying back. Thanks!
My first vehicle was 1983 Ford Bronco. Glad to see you bring the bad boy back to life.
older vid i know but i like that u painted the bike and the interior. i respect alot of the other guys doing a strict restoration but i like a little more detail work like you did.
It’s crazy how the paint market made the motorcycle pop! The blue is a good color for that car
I think the restore was fine, and it looked good, you did it for your collection in a style you liked, and you saved it from the trash bin, Great Job< I would have liked the wheels to roll but it looked great.

Good job. Great looking bronco, I would have went a bit crazier on the paint myself. I never know when to keep it simple.
I must have had this model growing up...or some other association to it. Seeing the black Bronco with yellow and orange stripes took me right back to my childhood. Great video. +Sub
2019 and still here, dude u gave that discocrappycar a new life, it exceeds the original quality
I stumbled on these hotwheel/ matchbox restorations and I am absolutely spellbound, amazing!
Thank you!
Love that shade of blue. I hope the new Bronco comes in a similar color.
estimated purchase price:$0.35, estimated cost in restoration: $65.00, estimated pleasure associated with love of the craft and joy for ones toys? PRICELESS! Awesome video man!
I like how you did the motorcycle.

I think I just found a new hobby!
When I can I'm going to go and detail all my cars 😂
Nice job. I had this Bronco when I was a child and I seem to recall it came as part of a set with a Corvette done in the same paint scheme.
I have that same Bronco in near Mint Condition. I bought it in about 1977. one of my favorites.
Nice job
Your restoration projects are great!
you should have painted it a snow white and put some leather gloves in it
Ruben Payne looool
I had one just like it as a kid but it was originally white haha guess it was the oj edition hot wheels
I have a 89 bronco all white lmao working on a 92
Love the look...
I find these videos so satisfying! So nice to see these cars getting a new life! :)
Love it!!!! If you wanted you could Dremel out the wheel wells a bit to clear the tires. That's how we do it on full size ones. Just clear them out up to that next line.
Good work! Extra thanks for the list of used tools and materials!
I love your videos the way you explain things and show how to do it and the Bronco is very nice 👍
I got this one still in the package from 1981....good job!
Looks sweet! I made one into O.J.'s Bronco a while back.
I remember having this as a kid,one of my favs.
Also try plastic glass cleaner like rejuvenate. Its a powder product added to water that bars use. Soak for a few minutes in hot water then rinse. It works really well.
U are so good with fixing these things
Great restoration. I recommend using the wheels from Hot Wheels Premium VW Baja Bug that fit really well (considering sizes & the length of axle). And it rolls for sure😊
It looks great , good job , I just really dig the original paint job with the bronco decal on the hood and the stripes on the side , wish you would have recreated that it’s probably really hard though
You did a great job on the bronco
Great restoration, I have picked up a few different ideas from your approach, thanks.
I have one of these on my computer desk, it's in a far worse shape than the one shown in the video, but you did a good job fixing it up.
Nice touch painting the bike
Great job. I like the new color. the coloring of the motorcycle is a great touch.
I had one of those Broncos when I was a kid, it was one of my favorites. And these days I'm a fan of the real Bronco it's based on.
I have that model. Awesome restoration Sir
nice and awesome videos thanks for this.
Looks great! I like how the wheels are close to the casting. Shame it doesn’t roll. But nice looking display piece for sure 👌🏽
Rivera's Hot Wheels even here UR EVERYWHEREEE
The wheels and tires look good on it imo how hot wheels should habe made all off road vehicles to begin with sure wish i had some of the ones i had when i was a kid 40 years ago some of them are worth some money I think i may take the metal detector out back im sure some are still burried there from near 40 years ago
Good job....love the way it came out✊✊just subscribed
I find these video's awesome
Great video! I love your voice its very soothing and calm like.
Well thank you!
Great video man. Been watching baremetal for a couple years I think and I just stumbled upon you and I'm no disappointed at all.
That's a really nice Job 👍 👍 👍 I did a picture for a friend of mine at the Studio I go to of a '78 Bronco , so seeing this one, you've done is just great ☺
I am pretty sure I had one of these, very nostalgic!
I seem to recall I had a Chevy pick up in blue with the big tires
Nice, slightly darker than Ford's french blue but still looks great.
Adding a white stripe down the sides and white canopy like the full size Bronco would've looked mint, great job regardless.
Try some Novus #2 plastic polish for polishing your windshields etc. I think you will like the results.
Cool the bad look, i love your original restautation👍
Peace ✌️
Nice job looks great!!!
Nice job! But doesn't look like it did originally.
Very nice saludos desde Mexico
Yo I don’t know why people are sayin that it’s bad to me you make it look great and I like it keep going
Another great video. I never thought to wax a die cast. The end result is outstanding.
I like the new paint job better. The blue is slick
This is my favorite build
....i love it man!!!🤘🤠🤘
Now that is how you customize a diecast!
Love this, had this car as a kid!
Looks really nice.
Pretty cool, we had a real 1980 or 81 ford bronco with this exact paint job. Minus the motorcycle on the back lol
Awesome restoration, I enjoyed it!
It was a nice survivor. I liked the original, wear and weather.
Excellent work
Another one of my favorites. I loved the Hulk Van too.
I like the wheels. Nice job
The bike and the wheels and tires ARE FRICKIN' NICCCCEEEE!!!!😍😍😍🤘🤠🤘
Very nice job man

I'll check into that after the holidays for sure!
Nice work
The one I like the most of your work! I would just add red Sharpie to the tail lights!
Impresionante transformación!! Excelente trabajo 👍👍
*_My Father Gave Me This Model When I Was A Kid, It Was His Car When He Was A Kid Aswell_*
BLAZE that's really cool. I have a 69 dodge Daytona hotwheels with the orange paint I got the same way
It looks just like the bronco my dad had. It was an '85 Bronco Eddie Bauer Edition with a western plow.
Use Laquer Clear over the acrylic . Acrylic paint is water soluble and WILL fade and chip without a proper coat of Laquer
Amazing very nice hotweels model.. only thing I didn't like was the plain blue or blue in that case the original black with the sides and the hood look pretty cool and of it's era the 80s... but the bike was awesome u paint it amazing job as usual
As always, great video.
Thank you!
Very cool. Just a thought...might want to invest in a media tumbler for cleaning some of the parts especially the undercarriage and body
I have one but they take forever to really do much :(
Everybody want the 80z design but that shit looked hard to re-create.
*This is very impressive! Thank you for the video!)*
I was hoping it was going to be the same colors...dont look bad...but loved the colors before....
