On Thursday we’re publishing videos showing in depth reviews on the features of each tool.
In the meantime, do you use either of these or are you going to start?
I used VidIQ for three months last winter because I bought a Q4 special they were having. I didn't renew because for me it didn't feel worth it. I did very much like VidIQ's help pages and watched many of the videos - they were good, just dated, YT changes so fast. Strangely I miss the tag generator, even though tags aren't that important and I also liked the search keywords that people used to find you. The competitor analysis wasn't that helpful since I'm smaller. Ironically, just yesterday I was on the TubeBuddies website and saw they offered a discount for non-profits so I may check them out. I don't think either free version offers that much above and beyond what YT analytics does. The features I want are more in paid tiers.
I will watch your videos and see if you notice something I don't about the tools. I am mostly disinterested in both tools simply because I don't think there is enough value for me. But maybe I just don't see it.
One thing I don't like about both is that they put a lot of importance on tags. Tags are just useless on RUclips
Huh??? Tell me more!!!😢
@@MPM_News first 200 words on video description are more important
@@globalmolecule thanks but you mean in the actual description box as text or spoken verbally?
Tags can be very helpful and more important for brand new channels.
@@cryptowealthonyt no, read under the tags section in the video creation page of yt studio: tags are meant to use for common misunderstanding.
Okay, that's a first! I don't think I've ever seen a "VS" reveal their honest thoughts in the first 2 Minutes. Refreshing... I stuck around and watched the entire video and "Subscribed" Thank you for posting! Great Video.
I have just absolutely enjoyed seeing you guys on this channel! Such wonderful advice. Bravo.
Thanks for the side by side! I use both and find blending what each offers helps me more than just one.
Do you pay for the extra features or do free?
@@26snoopy82 I use the top-paid version of each. Between the two all of the gaps are filled!
Great video! It seems like there are a few good uses for each of these options. Thanks for the honest review!
Thank you for doing this for us. I subscribed and look forward to seeing more from yall. I needed this comparison video. ❤❤❤❤❤
Great review of both Vidiq and Tubebuddy. I use Tubebuddy and the Pro version. Love 🥰 the video and love 💕 Channel Makers.
I think the TB thumbnail analyzer is a little better than a 3. It has really helped me weed out the cream of the crop. I DO wish it provided an explanation of WHY any thumbnail was good or bad.
Thank you for the comparison, I just searched and found your videos.
Great info guys and helpful as always!❤
Very helpful in making a buying or NOT buying decision.
Great video. I am considering getting the paid versions and thats why am seeking a review Thanks again
thanks Y'all this helped a lot
I have had TB for 4 years but rarely use any of the tools, i should but just lazy i guess, i am going to try to use it more and make it worth the money. Larry
This was very helpful
thank you!
Thanks a lot Guys, This was very helpful.
Our pleasure!
VidIQ’s channel audit feature is A stand out for me. While Tubebuddy’s thumbnail analyzer is da bomb.
Oh hey, I helped work on Thumbnail Analyzer. This is so cool to read!
So, you are saying that neither of you pay for the services of either tubebyddy & Vidiq? But you use both free versions? Im a bit confused with the final outcome. Like if I wanted to pay for one to help me and my channel what one is better?
Thank you!
Charisma and personality is a tough one for us. My husband is very concerned about his job being affected by the channel. We edit to remove anything that shows his true personality versus serious work personality . He’s getting better at talking on camera and looking forward to doing more true quirky sense of humour we have once he retires
Should have set up and discussed your likert scale prior to your reseach so you defined your 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 star meanings and made them more consistant. Would have also liked to hear which tools did what at which level of payment (free/paid) for each.
My YT analytics no longer shows best time to publish... but then they said it didn't matter in the long run when they did have it available.
Ive not yet seen where on youtube or tubebuddy or vidiq shows the best times to upload LOL I feel I spent a good amount in Ytube studio looking at stats etc.
@@RavenPhyreRanchI see it in both my creator studio and in vidiq dash
I dunno about the tags not being important. My videos w tags do much better than when I don't put the tags in.
Interesting!
@ChannelMakers I wonder if it’s something that makes more of a difference the smaller the channel is.
@@TheWordN3rd I personally don't notice the difference. I used to really try to squeeze as many words into the tags as I can, and now I just put a couple.
Same
Good explanation..
vidiq user
I have both of these as free versions currently and sometimes I've run a key word search and got opposite results from each. Now that's confusing!!
How weird! Thanks for sharing
best to see for yourself in search results on a new account/incognito window and see whats trending
Do either of them have an app version and if so, which one is best for someone who does everything on their phone?
Only VidIQ
thanks
Nice explanation, Useful Video😊👍
Glad you liked it
Can you have the free version of both?
I've seen VidIQ has an extension, is TB the same?
Should I use both chrome extensions?
Good idea
thanks!
You bet!
im using vidIQ I LIKE IT.
Me Too. I like the ai title helper
Where is Nate?
Using vidiq, is it safe because im using my personal email and it has accese to it
I have VidIQ and I have noticed the robust tagging system. One thing I think is misleading is that as soon as you start adding more tags, your Actionable score can top out at 50/50 but then your VIDIQ SEO Score only goes to 50/100. So, it makes you think tags work but then...you're only half way from making it really work?
And tags don't really help your.videos reach etc anyways so that's dissapointing
:(
@@unboundbytiffanyit does if you’re a small creator starting out
TB it is.
🙏🏿
Ohh thanks for all the information it does helps a lot! But..... for what I see this is not a fair comparison since it was not compared by the same person/people, and usually women pay more attention to detais and he seems like he is not as harsh (for lack of a better word at this moment...sorry not native english speaker) than she is....
Yeah, it may have been better if both were evaluated by the same person but we wanted to do so much research that there wouldn't have been time. Also we met several times along the way to make sure we were evaluating the same things and we even adjusted a bit for my critical nature ;)
As far as attention to detail goes... that's never been one of my strong-suits. I'm much more of a big picture gal.
Thanks for watching! -Julia
Most of the ai studlffbcan be done manuallybwith chatgpt if one has the time.
VidIQ is soooooo overpriced
I really want to understand which one best to increase my subscribers and views
i wasn't getting the results i wanted with tubebuddy
🙏🏿💜
Thanks 🙏 about information on tags.
I spent most of my time on them and it seemed highly confusing to say the least.
I would still use tags, but not to overplay with them.
And as suggested, focus more on description part.
I subscribed after hearing this, because you confirmed my suspicions lol 😝
I mean cmon: our time is valuable and we should not waste it like that.
But what about tags 🏷 in shorts?
Me me gustaria que el video estuviera en español.
Kim wexler is a youtube lawyer now huh lol
First comment 😊
I wish you.each used both, hard to compare two seperate things from two seperate people. Ahaha. Nothing to compare it to but someone elses opinion thats also based off of nothing to compare it to. :/
Hi I'm Ariful Islam leeton im software engineer and members of the international organization WHO and investors public and private Sector
My Filmora has title generator and story outline and is way better than them
vidiq costs more
These tools are very overrated and now days SEO is tricky, they good money off of people because everyone is willing to try anything to get views
Hello, your SEO score is only 10% on this video and your video is already over 5 months old. If you want to get a lot more views, you need to up your SEO to above 85% and people like me would believe in your videos more.
Who gave you the SEO score? :)
@@ChannelMakers Tubebuddy, I am using both of them together as they complement each other for now. Hoping to get VidIQ to be on par with TB soon. I have not used them together for a while until a few minutes ago after seeing someone else talking about that as an added advantage.
These titles have become the biggest clickbait ever. Never used to be this bad.
fr I agree with this so much, its like after nate left the channel fell off and they needed a way to still gain viewers
How is this clickbait? Did you even watch the video?
@@Arbythor What about the most recent videos feel like clickbait to you? I just don't see it. The titles feel the same to me.
Not sure how it’s clickbait. Wdym? 🫤
@@DeePatience I don't think there is any clickbait here. They are just trolls trying to find something negative to say. Trolls will be trolls!
I see the channel is failing since nate left ill admit ive stopped watching since he left
Same Nate brought more energy to the table and there was way more work put into the vids he was in
I tried both. TB Legend and VidIQ pro. I prefer vidIQ. Easier to use.
