whenever It Means Everything comes on I have to remind myself how emotionally painful this scene is and how impactful it was on Aubrey, let alone everyone else
All the other boss themes fit amazingly well but the one that absolutely touches my heart is Omori's. It's not as upbeat or hyped as the others. It's slow and soulful with, as far as I can tell, really only a violin, Sunny's instrument, to lead through the entire melody of the song. Even as other obtrusive sounds, like the ringing of a bell, electric scratching, and an alarm, are included, only the violin stays consistent throughout and I don't know if it adds anything to the game but I think it's a nice touch. And it is such an amazing conclusion boss song to the whole dream world. A good song to say goodbye, to finally accept the truth, to let all those weights be lifted off When I first saw the fight, I wrote it off because as a final boss fight, it felt very underwhelming to me. But as I watched the boss fight again and now able to actually hear the music without someone commentating over, it just touched me in a way only music and a game could. Each and every note with Omori taunting Sunny with those horrid thoughts and sayings just added to the whole experience more. If you read this, why? and thank you
It seems pretty consistent that throughout the game, Sunny is represented by strings/violin. As you advance in the fight, the song gets distorted and there's an attempt to cover up or drown out the violin with various unsettling noises. This can be interpreted as Sunny maintaining his footing and his determination, while Omori tries so hard to throw any deterrance or obsticles in his way because in his mind, he's protecting Sunny from what he thinks will be some sort of psychotic break There's also something interesting about how in this fight, you never get a Game Over screen when you die-- you only get one once you've finished it.
Whenever I listen to the ending song for Omori it feels like how I would think his soul sounds. The crying out in pain, alone, suffocatingly tight notes, vibrations echoing, static staring, trapped with nowhere to escape the feeling of these sounds as they pour in until you lose yourself, the pleasant chimes that come and go yet linger near by, then violent static trapped and alone waiting for you to give up. Spooky but, I wonder who else has a soul that sounds like this, N E I G H B O R
If they’re not gonna add it because of Boss, they should at least add it because of Mutantheart, who has the same theme (which is called Push and Shove, by the way)
okay but the idea of space ex-boyfriend's theme being called "you were wrong. go back" and space ex-husband's "you cannot go back." was really great, and how in the 2nd theme you can hear some parts from the first theme
Omori's ost is special. They often use classical instruments or something like that, like violin, piano, flute?, and harp and the unbread twins theme is wonderful, it's almost only these instruments. BUT when they have to use the exact opposite, synthesizer, IT'S A BANGER
For some confused, the harp? is probably the start of World end's valentine, and the flute probably in unbread twins, but if I'm wrong, please correct me
The trick with that is all the classical instruments are from computer programs, so the jump doesn’t sound as jarring. The harpsichord in Worlds’ End Valentine is I’m pretty sure from the Touhou soundfont
Listening to Space Ex-Husband's theme while remembering all he went through and the memories with him in the whole game just makes me have good pumps. Good thing he at least went back with his crew

Hearing the recital after OMORI hits different, oh and like an exploding truck Also, OMORI really shows how distorted muffled screams/words can be hell of terrifying.
Ok why does literally no one talk about how much of a banger spaceboys theme is. The lietmotief, the build up and the overall vibe is just so epic. Ive never vibed this much while fighting a boss honestly
i think i have an answer, basically most of the bosses and mini bosses in omori have some correlation to people or things seen in faraway town. eg: •space (ex)boyfriend can be found in the game store in faraway town •sweetheart is inspired by the lady who works in the candy section of the store •(not found in faraway town) the attack.omo boss is based off the beta version of omori where he uses _certain _*_websites_* to entertain himself in white space, on his computer and gets viruses from them being sketchy •the unbread twins can be found in the store in the bakery section the minibosses: •the bunnies that are found are supposed to represent aubrey’s bunny in faraway town when you visit her house •dialup is from sunny’s room •venus flytrap is just one of the plants basil grew i’m pretty sure? •i think the mixtapes are foreshadowing later in the game where you need to pick 1 tape out of 2 and it shows you clips of sunny or basil •potted plant i’m assuming is a plant basil grew i’m not sure who the slime girls would be in the real world because i didn’t explore it that much but they must be inspired by something in some way. i also don’t know about any of the bosses in the hikikomori route or any of the bosses past humphrey because i finished hangman after i beat humphrey. anyway hope this explained some things
I love Omari’s theme it’s the only time where the sound of screams has genuinely terrified me, the way screams were done in horror movies never got to me but hearing the moments before her death, then her screaming while she crashes down the stairs then what sounds like whimpering… perfection honestly.
I love the transition at the start going "cheery battle theme that's just a bit of a tussle" to "BELLS, BABY, BELLS!". Also, honest opinion: Teehee Time just doesn't measure up to World's End Valentine. It hasn't got that edge of uniqueness, the harps, the energy of a real boss theme. Alas!

A good song to say goodbye, to finally accept the truth, to let all those weights be lifted off
When I first saw the fight, I wrote it off because as a final boss fight, it felt very underwhelming to me. But as I watched the boss fight again and now able to actually hear the music without someone commentating over, it just touched me in a way only music and a game could. Each and every note with Omori taunting Sunny with those horrid thoughts and sayings just added to the whole experience more.
If you read this, why? and thank you
I started crying at it again..
I read it because it was well made and thought out.
Next time maybe play it instead of watch it.
admittedly, the boss fight with omori is my favorite part of the game
It seems pretty consistent that throughout the game, Sunny is represented by strings/violin. As you advance in the fight, the song gets distorted and there's an attempt to cover up or drown out the violin with various unsettling noises. This can be interpreted as Sunny maintaining his footing and his determination, while Omori tries so hard to throw any deterrance or obsticles in his way because in his mind, he's protecting Sunny from what he thinks will be some sort of psychotic break
There's also something interesting about how in this fight, you never get a Game Over screen when you die-- you only get one once you've finished it.
All these zany, cartoony looking bosses when suddenly BASIL
The first time i heard "chaos assembly" for the crash window, I thought it was an absolute banger holy shit xD
Yes
Same it’s my favorite OST
Bready steady go, going straight to your catastrophes has the energy of someone just laughing and then staring
"I was acting"
Or making a offensive joke and everyone stares at you
Whenever I listen to the ending song for Omori it feels like how I would think his soul sounds.
Yeah and Mary can be heard, "NO" "SUNNY" "STOP IT"
The N E I G H B O R part just lightened up the mood.

I LOVE THE MASHUPS OF SONGS INTO SPACE EX HUSBAND

tbh i really like underwater prom queen

I find it funny how only Sir Maximus's theme sounds like a proper traditional RPG theme
Space exboyfriends theme slaps too hard for a phycological horror game ngl
Nah that theme was in the game’s part where everything was alright, when the game seems like a normal RPG. So it makes sense

Ok why does literally no one talk about how much of a banger spaceboys theme is. The lietmotief, the build up and the overall vibe is just so epic. Ive never vibed this much while fighting a boss honestly
So you know how Sunny dreams about all of this stuff, the dream world and things, well why was he dreaming of the slime girls lmaoooo
i think i have an answer, basically most of the bosses and mini bosses in omori have some correlation to people or things seen in faraway town. eg:
•space (ex)boyfriend can be found in the game store in faraway town
•sweetheart is inspired by the lady who works in the candy section of the store
•(not found in faraway town) the attack.omo boss is based off the beta version of omori where he uses _certain _*_websites_* to entertain himself in white space, on his computer and gets viruses from them being sketchy
•the unbread twins can be found in the store in the bakery section
the minibosses:
•the bunnies that are found are supposed to represent aubrey’s bunny in faraway town when you visit her house
•dialup is from sunny’s room
•venus flytrap is just one of the plants basil grew i’m pretty sure?
•i think the mixtapes are foreshadowing later in the game where you need to pick 1 tape out of 2 and it shows you clips of sunny or basil
•potted plant i’m assuming is a plant basil grew
i’m not sure who the slime girls would be in the real world because i didn’t explore it that much but they must be inspired by something in some way. i also don’t know about any of the bosses in the hikikomori route or any of the bosses past humphrey because i finished hangman after i beat humphrey. anyway hope this explained some things
Why was he dreaming of Pluto Expanded, then, too? 😳
@@supremeoverlord0 jojo
Why are you everywhere.
@@RushWheeler because being everywhere is fun
Humphrey's theme is so FRICKING SCARY, even the scenario, it gave me goosebumps
I love Omari’s theme it’s the only time where the sound of screams has genuinely terrified me, the way screams were done in horror movies never got to me but hearing the moments before her death, then her screaming while she crashes down the stairs then what sounds like whimpering… perfection honestly.
All these boss themes are amazing, but the best one has to be the OMORI boss theme
9:35 This is my favorite part of World’s End Valentine for me
I love how Pluto has the most over the top names
sweet paralysis is lowkey slept on
I love the transition at the start going "cheery battle theme that's just a bit of a tussle" to "BELLS, BABY, BELLS!".
Also, honest opinion: Teehee Time just doesn't measure up to World's End Valentine. It hasn't got that edge of uniqueness, the harps, the energy of a real boss theme. Alas!
OMORI/OMORI feels different when you feel happy

While those 2 goofy sunny and basil fightin
SUNNY got bored, so OMORI learned how to compose from nothing but trial and error and a few 8-bit tracks from a Tomogatchi. SUNNY and OMORI should really consider getting a job for a studio.

*But at the same time I don’t want to cry*
Space ExBoyfriend's theme is such a bop, i love it and him so much.
