Interesting compilation Steve! Thanks for sharing this! Just a little curiosity note to say that whereas the 3 Spritzes are usually drank as an aperitivo before dinner, the Sgroppino is instead either used as a palate cleanser between courses of a meal or at the end of a meal as a digestiv, especially in fish-based meals. Cheers!
I'm getting my gf interested in Prosecco cocktails. She never really tried one but enjoyed Prosecco on its own... And now your channel has been helping me score points with bae hahaha. Cheers, Steve!
I have done the Aperol Spritz before and it is super delicious. You could see it on your face instantly that the lemon Sorbet was your favorite. Excited to try a few more of these! Cheers!
It’s amazing what a few minutes of dilution can do to a cocktail. Especially something already love in ABV. The problem with filming multiple cocktails. Cheers! 🥃
Yeah, perhaps he could put them in the freezer while filming the rest. Then take them out when he's going to taste them. (If he isn't doing that already)
Already have and loved it! I did a Venetian Spritz comparison here: VENETIAN SPRITZ - Select Aperitivo, Aperol, Campari OR Cynar!? ruclips.net/video/1VVarviKbEc/видео.html
Even before you started i knew it would be the Sgroppino. If you're curious about the name it comes from the venetian verb "sgroppare", meaning 'to untie', as it's served as an after dinner cocktail to help digestion and clean the palate. It's one of the mainstays of every restaurant here in Veneto and something all should try.
I want to try all of these! Such a great variety of ways to use prosecco. When you said Italicus Spritz for some reason I heard it as "Metallica Spritz" and had to do an audio double take to make sure I heard it right haha.
Try the Sgroppino al Limone in this way: Put the vodka, 2 scoops of lemon sorbet and a barspoon of vanilla syrup in a blender. add 4/5 ice cubes and blend. then add the prosecco and stir gently before pouring into the cup
I tried an aperol spritz at an Italian restaurant not too long ago based on watching your videos lol....I don’t quite like it 😂 but thank you for showing it because I probably never would have tried it. And I like trying new things!!
How did you not lick the ice cream barspoon? They all sound good. Can't get Italicus but I can get bergamot liquore from Antica Distillery. Will give it a go
Haha, restraint after being told off previously! It’s a delightful liqueur but I feel it gets easily overpowered.. still need to try it in other drinks first before I make judgement..
if i were to make a vodka gimlet . could i top it off with prosecco ? what i mean will i ruin it? or is that a coktail on its own. thanks for your vids!
@@StevetheBartender_ mind sharing a link? It seems like a really useful gadget for when you want a spritz but don't want to drink a whole bottle in one go
Do you have a recipe book as a companion to your site? I try a lot of your cocktails when you post But then have to go back and search for my favorites (today it was the Enzoni!).
I’m keen to put a book together but it will be at least 6 months before it’s available.. the Shake and Strain app is available on Android. iOS app is coming very soon!
I just wondered after you called the Negroni Sbagliato "watered down", how do you store the drinks while making the others? Wouldn't the earlier ones be more diluted by the time everything is ready, thus giving an advantage to the last cocktails you made? Of course, the sorbet wouldn't be affected considering there's no ice cubes in it, but the others are all fair game. Nice assortment of cocktails though! Pity I don't have the ingredients on hand to make any of them except the Aperol Spritz (one of my favorites).
so could you do an Americanized version of the sgroppino with orange sherbet? Maybe you can add Grand Mariner or Cointreau to the vodka? I assume sherbet is sweeter than sorbet. I’m pregnant so I can’t try it out for myself at the moment.
Which is your favourite Prosecco cocktail? Comment below...
Aperol spritzer
Limoncello spritz!
Chambord royale.....
French 75.
Yes, I made a *French* 75 with *Italian* prosecco. Shoot me.
@@Xanatos712 OMG!!! This world is coming to an end!!! (I'm trying this!!!)
