My dad gave me a harp G from Setesdal (where we are from) made by Bjørgulv Straume. I should really learn how to play it, ended up here getting inspired

Yes you are correct about Setesdal and Telemark being two different regions. Setesdal being the one with the most prominent tradition playing the jaw harp. We call it munnharpe

Hey there! One question. How do you keep record of the note of the harps, since you have so many of them? I might collect them too and some tips would be cool :D

The Munnharpe have the note on the side. You can also engrave the notes on your other harps. I can play a harp and know about where it lies but over half of all my harps are untuned and some of my favorite harps Morchang and Khomus are untuned. The musical notes aren’t really important or relevant to me since I don’t play with others.

I have about 100 harps, I used my labeling machine to put maker and tuning on the back of the cases or wood block used to hold them.
