@@maxdocherty7128 Tekken 8 is my first fighting game. The people at the top have been playing it their whole life. I'm not in a position to dedicate my life to becoming truly good at Tekken. I'm content with that.
@@MrManBuzz ok bro dont need the life story just sayin you never never know whats round the corner, you might find something changes and you have the time. Iv'e been playing tekken since 1994 and I see new players come in and beat my ass all the time. Saying never is like resigning yourself to mediocrity and f#@ck that. Just play the game and have fun my dude, Then you are the real winner.

One of the last couple patches nerfed a lot of knock downs so the people's elbow isn't guaranteed anymore, unfortunately

That instant shove is so smooth I can’t get it down
Practice doing clothes line into shove and have the cpu do a jab after shove. If it trades then you’re doing it fast enough
@@marioster2Fast enough? If he did that, he did it fast af. That's called "The perfect push". It's not a good example, anyway. You should 1jab, and then make the cpu jab you back, if your shove beats the jab, then it is perfect.

I JUST got off ranked fighting a Raven, thinking to myself I need to fight him more. He's gotta have some weak spots.
I started labbing him. Been pissing me off just being confused with his mixups.
Dont duck that much against him and if he gets comfortable with the low slide he did to majin you can launch him for that. Maj just didn’t know king ws 1+2 or crouch throw punishes alot of raven’s lows.
His heat is super steppable at mid range and anytime he does df1 into clone on block he is minus about 13

Raven is strong, but a lot of his 'strength' comes from the fact he's not played very often so no one knows the matchup. Same with Zafina and the bears.

Majin have to comeback in tournaments now. The combos have matured. In the beginning the experiments were still being carried out but now t8 king is ahead of his t7 king.
Grabs shouldn’t be impossibly rare to pull off. It should be balanced. It’s so rare I almost forgot what the characters’ throws even look like.

Just got to fujin with king. It’s been such a hard grind. I got fujin without to much hassle with yoshi but king has been hard. Even though people say he is a s tier character you have to pilot him correctly and I’d say most people know the king match up which I think makes it harder. Some characters are carried by the fact you don’t see them as often but everyone knows king. Majin makes fighting in top ranks look easy.

I just started playing Raven. His damage is negligible but his mix-ups are really strong.

I disagree. Once you get the pattern you'll beat any raven that goes against you. It only took me three times. Never lost to a raven since. And I play them a lot. He's just cheap asf

Heres what you should do buddy... Play other characters, expand your knowledge base, then come back to your preferred main with a different perspective,and hopefully more insight on how to deal with other caharacters. Its a shame you dont have the Pakistan program, where those players regularly play against eachother to hone their skills. There is merit in having a regular training partner who can help move the needle in your game... The game of life works the same way 😂

I play other characters and it really does help in learning the matchups. I just feel like I'm lacking with King atm and have to fine tune him first.
