How to Use a Silicone Mat to Practice Waxing

A silicone mat is a great way to practice waxing! In order to become a great waxer, you need to practice. In order to practice, you have to use wax which quickly gets expensive. Insert - silicone mats!!

Using a silicone mat is a sanitary way to practice laying and removing the strips, as well as it allows you to reuse the wax since there is no hair being removed and it's a clean area.
First, you need to clean the surface area with disinfecting spray and personally I only use rubbing alcohol. After you clean the mat, get practicing! Feel free to lay all sizes of strips - large, small, facial, body! Make sure you use pressure and make clean lines when applying wax strips.
Once the wax has cooled, you can easily remove it and throw it back into your warmer so it can remelt and no money is lost. Woohoo!!
You can also put the mat over part of your body (like arm or leg) so you can really feel like you’re practicing on a person.
Feel free to even draw designs on your mat (like and eyebrow) so you can practice applying strips around a stencil!
A secondary option to use for these mats is a sanitary area where you can lay your utensils like tweezers, scissors, wax sticks, gloves, etc. Not to mention it's more environmentally friendly to use a mat like this instead of paper towels like I used to haha. Bonus!
