    Never knew they made that kind of duck quack sound Lol.... There's a couple of them in the woods behind my house here in Tipperary in Ireland and I noticed the parents don't make a sound in flight.. But the young ones they brooded this year always make that classic weeeeoooow sound...
    I look up and sure enough you can spot them lazily climbing in the thermals... LOVE THEM !!! Always happy to see them around..

    Saw two common buzzards yesterday soaring, I was so happy with myself, I live in CLARE, west IRELAND, and although we have wild buzzards their rare enough. But it's always a thrill to see them. We don't have kites though, I'd love to see one. My favourite are Sparrowhawhs, the little brats🤣 I adore to see them soar in summer. Theres a falconery centre close to where I live in north CLARE, my friend worked there once.

    Hi there. Do buzzards make good companion / falconary birds? Lees prey driven then a gos hawk Harris hawk let’s say. Something you could train not purely for hunting etc.

  • @davidbent347
    @davidbent347 3 года назад +1

    There's been an absolute explosion in Buzzard numbers in the UK... I do alot of driving and see them everywhere I go... This didn't used to be the case. To support such a large predatory bird the food chain beneath must be flourishing too... Which is great! I have a theory on this... With the increase in Co2 in the atmosphere the existing greenery will be benefitting and growing at a faster rate throughout the year, subsequently this must be increasing and supporting the insect population. So on and so forth...

      Kites can hunt. They just prefer carrion when it's around. Kites actually have less strength weight less than buzzards, despite having much larger wings.
