Have been binge watching these videos for the last week or so and this is one of the best. I can't believe it hasn't more views and likes. Keep up the good work Ian and team.
This podcast almost instantly became one of my favorites. Hats off to to the Sheriff. He’s inspiring. Wish we could have a gentleman like him as US president. Down to earth.
My new FAVORITE podcast!! This interview was great!! Wish when i was doing my county time, i could've had a guy like him!! He has an actual heart & does his job amazingly ❤ 🤞🏻 Thanks Ian!! You're dope af!! ✌️ bout to head down this ol rabbit hole❤ keep em coming!
Youre absolutely killing it man! This show & channel have taken off and are getting the viewers, views etc it deserves. Keep up that hard work and dedication, it really shows with how great the episodes have gotten all around!
@@ianbickCTPlatforming a pedophilic government agent who goes after vets for defending their family from HIS pedophile friends is a great track record
Excellent guest. Also I think your questions with him were the best set of questions you’ve come up with. The question about are people born evil, was gold. Very interesting to hear a sheriffs take on that
I really love your content because having an understanding of law enforcement perspective is re-habilitating in and of itself! Most other RUclipsrs are too cool to interview cops
I wish he would have just told stories about people he encountered. Stories that really stick with him. Too bad we do not have more people like him in law inforcement. He has a genuine heart for people.
Growing up as a pot smoking rebel I learned to hate cops. Once your on the radar when your young it's on site harassment anytime the cops see you. I'd learned to think of all cops as a idea or institution instead of ppl. When you dissociate individual humanity it's very easy to hate and be prejudiced. Years later I developed a pill turned dope habit. I ran from my home state and ended up in a conspiracy to break and enter a pharmacy. Down south outside trusty work crews are far more common. Aka the chain gang. Out of 10 different work crews representing 3 counties and 4 or 5 different towns and cities I ended up working with the same sheriff's who arrested me. The same bailiff who brought me in front of the judge. We'd get picked up at the jail and either go pick trash on highways or lawn/landscape work at local parks. I was shocked they didn't hold any I'll will towards me. After awhile when you get to know them individually there just ppl on the flip side of the coin. Where I would get my rush from dope, ducking the cops, or hitting a good lick they're rush comes from catching me or confiscating a bunch of drugs. We were all thrill seeking individuals. Of course there is the Gung ho super cops. The ones that think everyone who gets high is evil. However most just saw ppl who made mistakes. As long as you took your punishment like a man and didn't snitch your way out they could respect you. Many of them just looked at as a job. They would say it's just real life cops and robbers. Since you've made your job to commit crimes it's mine to stop you. As long as you respect them they respect you. I feel they should have more of these programs up north. Instead in Michigan you can only do outside work in suburban counties and even then it's only available to super minimum custody inmates. Like sentences 6mths or less for dui or weed possession. Misdemeanors only. When I was on the work crew I was doing 3 yrs on 2 felonies.
"And a goose named Robert" Lmao. This was great interview. I live a county over from this sheriff. Sounds like he earns respect and need more like him.
then they gotta start ratting out and prosecuting bad cops, start putting themselves to the hazard, start taking suspects ALIVE, and STOP pretending that police are infallible and above questioning. just because they have a badge does not mean they aren't beholden to the law. they're not some kind of "god-called ultimate arbiter of good and evil". you gotta face facts, entirely too many law enforcement officers have a power kink and took this job to be able to get their "fix" without fear of consequences.
Great interview. This man has renewed my trust that there are good, compassionate, and discerning. law enforcement officers that operate with integrity, faith, and a vision for helping people. Keep on.
I want to thank you John for coming on and putting things out here there are good and bad but I think you're a stand-up sheriff and God bless you stay safe out there and get some more stories we can hear LOL thank you much
Keep the great videos coming man... I honestly wasn't expecting this one to be as good as other videos but you and "I'm Just John" made this one of the best yet hands down..! now that I'm older and have kids I would love to have John as sherrif in my town. it's these big cities that have so many officers that just can't help to run into bad apples like yall stated. anyhow hope to get a part:2 we need some more in depth stories or maybe ride alongs😂
I live in a whole different county 25 mile away! Our state troopers aren’t playing, this guy is also the real deal! Proud of our home team! I see things a lot clearer on the other side
What a wonderful human being❤Amazing man, father, friend. Phenomenal sheriff! You carry a heavy load officer. Please take care of yourself. Do not leave it all in the field. Your family and friends want you around a good long while❤
This sheriff is freaking awesome bro, sooooo many sheriff's need to take some lessons from this guy right here, mad respect thank you for making my day with this video
I think you should just interview my local sheriff from genesee county Michigan. His name is Chris Swanson. I think he’s been great for the flint area. In 2020 with the riots everywhere, flint a violent city stayed peaceful. I think it had alot to do with our sheriff throwing down his riot gear and marching with the people. Most recently he’s working to get jellyroll to the jail for a visit.
My resource officer sparked my hatred for police by targeting me for absolutely no reason making fun of my name and showing up to my house trying to use scare tactics after school telling me he could lock me up for riding my dirt bike my property I understand that they are a few good cops but I've only met one who actually saved my ass when he could have smoked my boots over a simple weed charge when I was on probation for simple position
The best thing he said about dealing with officers who dont uphold their oath to the United States constitution is hold them accountable beautifully said. Thats what most law enforcement lacks is accountability
They smoke everything. Coffee, coffee soaked paper broken up and rolled up in another coffee soaked paper.. you wouldn't believe the things ppl will do to escape that misery or subdue their own addiction.
Yeah police pay in Arkansas was just over minimum wage. I resigned in 2016 from independence county Arkansas. And went to driving truck in the oil field. Went from taking home 1800 a month to 5000$ a month. There was no councilors to help with the stress. To this day I still have nightmares and depression from that job.
I'll be honest, I didn't want to like the guy but by the end, outside a few things we might not agree on he seems overall like a fair person. That's the biggest thing I expect from police, especially those higher up, they need to remember that the public pays their salary and in his case, elects him too. I can disagree with a cop about everything under the sun but just treat me like a man and don't talk down to me because you know I can't really do anything, that's all I ask. If more police had this guy's attitude, public relations would be a lot better across the country than it is now.
OMG this Sheriff was on (RWP) channel, busting this dude for impersonating a police officer! This man is bad ass, I’ve been in awe and a fan of his ever since.
I'm truly curious. Did you intentionally turn a blind eye to the video of Staley assaulting an inmate? What about his ongoing lawsuit for fraud where he claimed to have rehab'd a home renovation but it was found that he didn't? Staley's past is very rough and if you ask the right people, mainly people that aren't afraid of being fired by him or harrassed by his deputies... you'll quickly learn who he is.
Didn’t know your dad was that old my guy. Im your age and my father is just a little younger than yours. It is so cool that your dad has already gotten to see you redeem yourself. I never was convicted but I still haven’t “made it” and I desperately want to make it while my dad can still see it.
even the statement of everyone chooses to use drugs the first time ain’t even very accurate cause a lot of times people first use they’re trying to cope with trauma or are peer pressured by someone they trust into using.
This sheriff may or may not be a good guy, but many no longer trust LE and LE brought this distrust on themselves. Sorry given the extreme power LE is given they don't get to have a mulligan on events. You want to have the ability to do "oops my bad" and move on don't be a cop.
He almost got there then the cop came out. I’m gonna take this time to try to do PR for cops then brag about a marijuana seizure. Miss me with this clown. Tornader lol
As someone who knows a bit about both firearms and the human body, it's unreal to think somebody could fit even the smallest snubbed nose .38 revolver inside themselves, especially one with an exposed hammer! I could maybe see a 1-2 shot .22 or something but a revolver? That's just not right lol
Bro look up “butt Olympics” and see the insane stuff people put in their ass. People put full scale, 8 pound 13 inch, rubber babies in their butts and give “birth” to them.
This was a nice break from hearing stories from just one side. Maybe he was misjudged. I personally believe that any form of deception is wrong. Lying to a person about "who" would actually be arresting them based on their honesty is far beyond questionable. A young person who is terrified of being arrested and having a Sheriff tell them "its ok, be honest with me. "I" wont arrest you" while knowing that another officer will is wrong. This happened to me and I will always bent towards law enforcement.
I sure wish we could duplicate him. This country would be 100 times better I believe even our government would be 100 times better with a man with his morals! You’re doing a good job, you have good intentions and keep up the good work, but please don’t work yourself straight into the ground because we need people like you in law enforcement and government
I wish more sheriffs and police officers had this same mindset! Great interview!
Thanks heather!
Have been binge watching these videos for the last week or so and this is one of the best. I can't believe it hasn't more views and likes. Keep up the good work Ian and team.
That was crazy to listen to. Glad he made it out and found the narrow path.

@@ianbickCTPlatforming a pedophilic government agent who goes after vets for defending their family from HIS pedophile friends is a great track record
Every time I'm recommended another episode I have to check the date it was released because you're pumping these out so quick! 🔥
Appreciate you!
Give a man a donut you'll feed him for a day,
Give a man a badge he'll have donuts for a lifetime. 😂😂😂

Awesome Sheriff. Many could learn from this man. Thank you.
This man is proud of the work he is doing and is a very very respectable man!! He cares about his job, his family, his work family!!
What a great guy wears his heart on his sleeve 😊
I hope this man has lots of children . The world needs more people like him self .
We need more cops like him !👍🏻

@@beavistechrock Honestly this is such a great comment! And Michigan absolutely sucks, especially the north central part of the lower peninsula
Such a great interview. You guys both absolutely killed it

Another great podcast.
Thank you🙏
Mad respect for this sheriff. Great man. Arkansas is lucky to have him.
I 100% agree I wish we had law enforcement in Oregon with even a quarter of the integrity that this man has

Incredible interview Ian🔥🔥 Another one for the books 📚 🫡💪🏽
Thank you!!

This dude is more then a CO/sheriff
I respect tf out of this sheriff for admitting that throwing a drug addict in a cage does nothing. These people need help, not a cage.

My sheriff ❤❤❤❤
How did you get to do that.
Not expecting you to be perfect. We expect you to know the law and be a good person. Have humanity.

Good dude❤
Something happens to folks in childhood it prepares a path
Watch how this guy deals with Jeremy Kurck (police impersonator). Absolute legend, massive respect for John Staley.
Love what Ian is doing in the prison podcast he will go down as the G.O.A.T .
🙏🙏 much love
Bick asks the most relatable questions. in my opinion
I live in Lonoke county small fuckin world!
Officer doesn't have to assault you to be a bad apple if a officer see an officer do it and he don't stop it or report it and he's just the same
Yo 👀 dude looks high as hell 😂
Keep up the great work Ian. I can’t wait too see your channel explode in growth. Been here for the early days of your podcast🤘❤

I've got 4 felony warrants from 2012. Been hiding in plain sight, just haven't been getting in trouble. Lonoke sheriff's, come on buddy lol
