TY PizzaFix! So happy I found you! These old classics are great. Your quality is the BEST!! So nice to watch after a stressful day. Way better than Netflix or Hulu. Ty, ty, ty.
Wonderful! You do not want to sleep through this one. If you have ever had contact with the people who are Hollywood at any time, you will really enjoy this because it is still he same.
Daisy behind the wheel, and dancing to the waltz, gave me a chuckle. "What are you....balmy in the crumpet?" The stuff that happens after Daisy becomes a star is funny.
Nothing like a good movie from some of the Golden Years of Hollywood. This was when movies were fun and entertaining, something that Hollywood knows little about today.
I watched this a year ago but it came up this morning in my recommended videos so I watched it again. It's a little silly perhaps but a feel good movie from the distant past and worth watching. To give this little movie a thumbs down says more about those people than the movie. So, it doesn't have computer generated blood and gore that some people love to watch! Too bad! If it pops up again in another year I might watch it again... Lol 🙂
"....balmy in the crumpet...." unfortunately, nowadays the writer for this script would use at least 1, if not more, 4 letter words. And Mortimer....I have to admit that I didn't see that coming. Anyone notice? The "clapper" on Emperor's movie showed Director: Boriss, Camera: KARLOFF.
What a cute little doggie. I can only hope that he wasn't abused. I like the nickname Two Bs. It's creepy to see a dog shilling for a cigarette company.
"Prince Michael Romanof" (billed here just above the dog) was actually Hershel Geguzin of Lithuania. He owned the popular Romanoff's restaurant on Rodeo Dr. in L.A. but wouldn't eat with the stars, and dined with his dogs only. (wiki) The "prince" finally shows up at 47:53, IF you care...
Kind of a fun flick. I liked the character of the drug store fountain guy, and the butler was great, and MM Barkley too. Didn't care for the dog though, just a scene-stealer.

A guy wearing a monocle in the beginning ! and I love seeing the 40's fashions, hats & cars. I wonder if there was a 'casting couch' for male hopefuls, for the closted gay movie execs? Women & children were abused, why not men as well?
PF you hit it out of the park, great movie ❤this with DAISY as the 🌟 of this movie 🍿
@PizzaFlix, Thanks for posting this delightful film. Sweet, charming Emperor steals the show.

This was essentially a "B" picture, from one of Hollywood's "Poverty Row" studios......and a darn good one, too!

Originally released in April 1945. "Daisy" is the same dog that appeared in Columbia's "Blondie" movies at the time.
I saw your theater at the beginning when they showed the Hollywood sites.
sweet movie love the pup, thank you for then injoyment of these movie thank you for sharing you have bless evening you and familyits worth 9 stars
Everybody loves DAISY the Dagwood's dog!!
The Bumsteads' dog. Daisy is correctly called "he" here, because Daisy was a male, even though called "she" in the "Blondie" movies.

When all you had to do to rent a place in L.A. was ask, lol. It's NOT quite that easy anymore! Another decent flick, @PizzaFlix.

Great for relaxing your brain after a stressful day.
I had to pause the movie at 30:00 to make a " Banana Surprise ".... I guess it's an acquired taste.... I'll try it again later 🤔
I love dogs . I love all animals 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
Daisy is in this one.
I wonder how much the studio paid Blonde and Dagwood for Daisy playing in this movie ?
Hollywood not a place, but a mood/ atmosphere. 👍🥳💃🕺🤺
Bread, twenty three cents a loaf outrageous.I know I can get it for twenty one cents a loaf, and it's not even a day older
Didn't they ever rinse the dishes back then?? lol Second movie I"ve seen where they wash then wipe dry...no rinse.
The no-rinse dishes...lol then break one

Yup, the we’re still soapy , that was bothering me.
Music by Marvin Hatley, who wrote Laurel and Hardy's theme song.
This is how MY mind works and the crazier things get, the more I turn to Pizza Flix. Perhaps I'm simple minded.
Thanks🍕FLIX!
Did Daisy from the Bumsteads run away from home?
Very good
How many Morgan's were in the film business? Very strong genes in that family, handsome men for sure.
Frank Morgan was in the famous films. Ralph had a less glamorous, but steady, career
do you have english or portuguese (br) subtitles?

I'm sure there was a male casting couch. I've read interviews with actors who have spoken about it.
Speaking of dogs ck out Dagwood and Blondie pet Daisy
