Hey just to answer a few things I heard during your Q&A. I have been working with Air dry clay only since a year and half now. So Tuhina Sarkar asked if this Air Dry Clay can be baked. The correct Answer is NO. Once you put this Air Dry Clay in a microwave or a firing kiln it may char and spoil your appliance. Air dry clay is highly inflammable in these situations. Another Question was asked by Bhakti about mixing colours while kneading the clay, before rolling out. It can absolutely be done and you can achieve a beautiful marbling effect or even if you want to make it an opaque solid colour you can do so. Just that the brightness of colour fades a bit as air dry clay has chalk in it which is white so it makes any colour pastelish. Thanks for reading my answers. Hope it helps and I like your designs. I make larger home decor pieces with air dry clay.
Hi! Thank you for this video! I have been experimenting with air dry clay as well as part of jewellery making and watching this video was very reassuring. I just wanted to add that using chalk paint is also a great option to paint the pieces. I have used the same and it has turned out really well. Also, for glue usage - I have tried rubber based adhesive like fevibond for making studs as well as B-7000. These are the stringy types but work really well once you get the hang of it. My experience with sticking is that it's best done after the pieces have been painted also extending the varnish coating to those spots is also a good idea. Just wanted to share this with you! There are a few air dry clay jewellery videos out there so I just wanted to help out from my experience!
Hey Rhea ! this is soooooo helpful !!! Thank you so much for sharing your experience here ! It’s gonna help out people who are looking for solutions. I don’t know if you have faced the problem of the metal losing it’s coating! That is one of the major setbacks I am having, which is stopping me from creating earrings for others 🥲 do share if you have found a solution for that ! But yes even I have used Fevibond and find it to be good. But in some circumstances it had peeled off the paint along with the pin 😅 Thank you so much for sharing Rhea 🫶 sending love

Oh, so pretty and gorgeous! 😍 Great tutorial and amazing ideas - thank you! I The blue one is my favourite. OMG, my heart stopped at the drop test, it felt so wrong to try to break something so beautiful you just created, but much appreciate the care for your audience. I love your painting designs and think I would much rather prefer gold paint vs the look of the foil. Can you please share any pros ans cons using one vs the other? Thank you! 🌸🙏☀️
Use B6000 or B7000 glue to fix the stud post. Or after finishing the earnings use the glue mentioned and put the post cut the exactly same size of thin layer air dry clay and stick it on the back side after you fix the stud post. Your earning post will never fall apart unless the earnings are broken. Try using UV resin coat to avoid breaking of the earrings. And to avoid the damage from water you may apply crystal clear nail paint, though it will give a shiny gloss effect instead of a matt finish.
I love all your designs Mam. I love nature and the leaf pattern came out so beautiful and when you finished it looked just like the leaf. I have never watched any videos before accept your's early this morning February 16th. Thank you for explaining the technique so well for us beginners. Love, Rebekah in VA
Without baking is it safe bcus if suppose u wearing n suddenly it broke so baking is imp or is it safe without baking bcus not everybody has microwave bcus m an pottery artist I have worked on this clay as well so my question is without microwave is it good
Lovely stuff! I also watched your other clay earrings video and I loved it 😍. I was wondering, what type of glue do you recommend to stick stud pins? I used hot glue gun and they keep breaking off !
Stainless steel make sure it’s says that if not and they are copper or have nickel the will tarnish or rust Silver plated and gold plated will also tarnish over time but you just have to clean then with the respective cleaners and they will shine again
Hey beautiful Souls ❤🧡💛💚💙💜 Let me know which one is your favorite 😍

Lifecycle of clay earings
They can last for years if a good coating of waterproof varnish is used and the earrings aren't dropped on the ground often.

Thank youuuuu
