It only seems like Baki is nerfed if you only watched the Kengan anime where they tone things down with the 3-D animation making the fights look more realistic. And they take away descriptions of techniques and what not and make them look ‘normal’. The Kengan Manga shows how insane the skill level, choreograph and raw stats of the Kengan characters are. Like characters punches shaking mountains when not even directly hitting them or trying to, blows shaking entire arenas and destroying portions of forests etc
Feats that are only surpassed by Yujiro stopping the earthquake or if you genuinely believe when bootleg Obama said Yujiro being more deadly than nukes means his punches > nukes

I’ve read Baki but I haven’t watched it since the original series and…the Baki anime fights are actually worse than these fights? Cuz compared to a lot of shonen out today, these fights in terms of choreography and animation were subpar

Idk why aurther so hype about headbutt. In lethwei matches headbutt only use if they get a chance and clinch headbutt. I know they wanna promote about how headbutt is good but they always match up him with some fantasy shit martial artists. U can match up him with karate and other martial arts even kung fu is possible. but bro hanayama is 100% fantasy from fighting style to physique. The whole baki verse looks like jojo adventure to me.
It's because Hanayama and Saw Paing are known for their durability. I can see Wakatsuki as a matchup for him too, but Saw Paing does still fit.

The animation was pretty bad and boring and the characters dialogue was pretty terrible, I like both series but this was definitely not worth the wait
@@frankenstein1791 I like both series, but this was pretty mid at best and I have a pretty good idea how strong the majority of the characters are, Hanayama would have on shotted Saw Paing and I say that as someone that likes both characters quite a bit
Both Baki and Kengan put emphasis on different perspectives. In Baki fights are not necessarily decided by a fighters strength, but by philosophy and mindset, while Kengan depicts fights in a realistic manner, but the fighters are given superhuman abilities. The hype is there to sell the product, but ultimately both franchises couldn't use much of their strengths.

Saw paing should have won. It was a mistake to make jack lose over hannayma, jack is one of the most popular and stongest characters in baki, especially with him being the mc rn in the manga. Obviously baki fans are gonna rage on this film. Hannayma should have lost his fight and than jack should have won his to keep it even. I dont know how the story writers couldn't realize that making the current mc in the manga look like a bitch will upset fans
