Using the same "Shaolin Monk" against many different opponents doesn't really prove anything. Use different people on both sides and in the two fighting disciplines...
Any martial art can become great when practiced well with sparring trainings. The big controversies around the world is too biased and not based on scientific methods of judgement
Ive trained Wushu, Bukauw won both those matches. I don't discriminate, i love nearly all martial arts. Muay Thai is more ring oriented whereas wushu is not so much so there is a somewhat advantage there. In a street fight imo Kung Fu wins . Elbows in Wushu come from many angles and there are many styles to draw from so again imo kungfu would win due to a more in depth pool of skills. I love Mauy Thai they have many skills in the ring , hard as fock shins and arms though mine when i was at peak were hard as heck doing wushu , mauy Thai train in depth in this area.
Muay Thai is no fucking joke. I once was sparring with someone in training, and I accidentally kicked to high. The snap was just perfect to instantly nock him out. Granted, he was doing illegal moves, I should have payed much more attention
Yilong is a kickboxer dressing up as a Shaolin monk... Did he practice sanda? Probably! Did he practice wushu? Like most kids going to public school in China, so most probably... But he's a kickboxer! Just like The Undertaker is NOT an "undead", it's a C.H.A.R.A.C.T.E.R !
The reason why a Shaolin fighter might lose against a kick boxer, is because the Shaolin fighter starts using kick boxing rules and not Shaolin Kung Fu. Because in Kung Fu you do not use all of your power at once, the fighter starts analyzing and testing the other fighter, gaging the other fighter's skill and power, then he would use any which style of fighting. You as a Shaolin Kung Fu fighter could get hit because you are a human, but when you hit back you end the fight.
Like most things Chinese they cannot admit defeat for fear of losing face. Even if they lost. In the Buakaw fight No third fight to settle once and for all. Why? Chinese are scared their best will get knocked out by Muay Thai. When they will be forced to admit defeat. The fight experts and fans worldwide know the real score as 2 - 0 to Muay Thai according to the fight video. Except for the biased Chinese judges. It seems the only defeat that China will accept is if their fighter loses by knockout. It would be good for the Mix fight organizers to take note. To not allow judges to judge a fight against their own nationals or origin. So there can be no bias by any nation. This would go a long way in improving the integrity, honor and dignity of martial arts across the globe. Which is currently being spoiled a few bad apple nations.
Yeah that was absolute bullshit, they even made a rule to stop Buakaw from dropping elbows, the ref was 100% paid off and the entire event was a fraud. China may not be the best at martial arts but they do have a lot of money.
They want it to be Muay Thai vs Fung fu, but they never allow Muay Thai to use elbows or clinchings.. Been that way since forever, and not just China/Kung-Fu who did that with Muay Thai.. just to proof a point
Yea don't forget that Traditional Kung fu (As any Traditional Martial arts, since they were born to be used in real fights) allows the use of elbows strikes and grappling. A Good Kung fu fighter, just like a Muay Thai one, has a good body conditioning. So remember that when Elbows Stikes are not allowed is not just about the muay that fighter but about both of them. So it's still an evenly match.
@@FrancescoRima yeahh.. but they still didn't want all those elbows and clinching in the game. But when they go to Thailand? Free for all, isn't that weird? Also, I think you are talking about "Sanda not Kungfu" which it was influenced from Muay Thai 😅

Anyway this comment makes no sense and has nothing to do with what we were saying.
News flash, if had 10 fighters each style. One fight style probably would not win all and one probably would not lose all. Now to say one would win more often also would vary, but all would depend on the fighter and their skill also. Along with training and fighting a real fight. Not the same also. Ill take Tysons saying, all have a plan till they get hit in the face. Or basically till bam and plan changes. One wrong move and lose.
here we see depicted in ancient pictures and scripture the monks of Shaolin fighting the Warriors of Wu Dang….. with boxing gloves and pads on their feet
Don’t talk nonsense . All these shaolin tricks never work on real stages . It dosent matter you wear a glove or not the technique remains. When he loses he becomes not a shaolin monk . They can’t accept defeat .
The most effective martial arts is from Shaolin. But it starts with basic iron shirt. Along with development and discipline in Tai Chi chuan, and is superior, the most effective, the oldest, the softest, where all the other fighting systems come from, and share medicine and meditation as dynamics. It also incorporates nonviolence. I've seen little old doctors in action on many occasions, have been taught by it, and have used it in the street. Plus it's also non-violent. It also has the most common sense, explosive, evasive, and energetic, therefore can be easily lethal if necessary. And the most fierce, as the movements come from nature and animals.

Shaolin monks techniques are slappy slap 😂
problem is the Shaolin monk isn't even using kung fu
All is Kung fu.
@@darkness1602 ah
all I see is no form street fighting
He is using Sanda kungfu or Sanshou
Bro, let's have a fight, but you can't clinch or throw elbows with your Muay Thai.
Bin the bizarre backing music please 🙏
Nothing worse when videos are edited to play the same thing over and over.
Watching done sir😊😊😊😊😊
Quote of the day: "Don't use white to defeat yellow but you need the brown to finish it.. "😆🤕😆
What are you thinking about doing now?
It depends on the dog in the fight mostly, I've seen Karate guys kick ass on Kung Fu and the other way around.
Garbage click bait. This entire video should be 3 to 4 minutes way too much fill in here. There is not anywhere near nine minutes worth of content.
Like most things Chinese they cannot admit defeat for fear of losing face. Even if they lost.
In the Buakaw fight
No third fight to settle once and for all.
@@nonon0n0o No I'm talking about Traditional Kung Fu, All kung fu variants that nowadays exist are born from one single source: Ancient Kung Fu. Anyway they were both fighting with K1 rules, so not their world for sure.
@Muay-MMA "Flashy gay moves" That's part of their culture, like it is for china lol. And it's still something more like a "ritual" they're not used in fight, also because the things that work in a fight are the same for all martial arts. Anyway this comment makes no sense and has nothing to do with what we were saying.
Golden bell can't resist Muay Thai.
Buakaw, senchi, superlec, and rotang all legends..sorry i spelt some wrong..i am too lazy to check them properly 😂😂
7:16 yi long is relying too much on strength and it’s way too obvious
The Kung fu fighter is using everything but kung fu.
here we see depicted in ancient pictures and scripture the monks of Shaolin fighting the Warriors of Wu Dang….. with boxing gloves and pads on their feet
Muy Thai rules will usually bring muy thai fighters to an advantage. And Shaolin rules would bring their fighters to success;)
Don’t talk nonsense . All these shaolin tricks never work on real stages . It dosent matter you wear a glove or not the technique remains. When he loses he becomes not a shaolin monk . They can’t accept defeat .
Gonna call it before i see it. Muay thai
This is insane for kingfisher Cz in this match the muthai kick and icing only alllw tondo kunhfu punch and kick not allowed to use
Of coarse it is disputed by Kung Fu fans. They are used to Kung Fu dance competitions. Style over substance.
Ip Man wouldn't have had a problem beating him
Muay thai is iron vs plastic kungfu? Pweeee
Let alone showing off, you have to really put it on
Shaolin never consider him as monk he totally living like celebrity promote himself and do business 😂 dude just dress as monk for attention.
mma gloves should be appropriate. And thats why there is mma now..the proper venue for mixed disciplines
Capoeira technic is best for UFC and MMA 💪👍
They sent the shaolin mop boy
