Hi. Great video, thank you! You have a new subscriber. I noticed that you said there are many other scholarships that offer far better benefits- can we hear of these next? 😅
Daddyclif thank you for this info please can you do a video or an explanation on how to submit directly to the sch that is while using the university track thank you
Hello Thank you for this helpful video. I still have a question, when you say go the Minister of education and to the Minister of foreign affairs, is that Apostille? and after we have to go to the Korean Embassy? I also have another question, I'm in a French High school and the transcripts are all in France, but I asked my high school to translate them to me and they give me them in English but when I went to do an Apostille they told me that they don't do in English documents. What should I do? is it OK if I send them French transcripts with Apostille and all and just send them the translated ones without nothing? Thank you for your help
Have you read the different documents for this scholarship? There's a process to follow you have to find out the process in your country for some countries it might be ministry of external relations and not foreign affairs. But the process for most countries is you will go through ministry of education, external affairs and then embassy. About documents translation you are normally supposed to authenticate your french documents and then provide a translated version from a certified translation office. Please read carefully the application guideline document again.
The secret to gks is persistence even if you fail keep trying and make sure you add something to your application the next round like maybe an English proficiency test results or Korean language topik or volunteering or job experience. I know a lot of people who got it after 2 or 3 attempts. If you can still apply again they might noticed your determination to go to Korea and study.
Thank you very much for your videos, they are very helpful. Please i do have a question. I am a Nigerian currently living in nigeria and i want to apply for the 2024 graduation application. But i graduated from a university in London. I have authenticated my certificates at the british Council and the ministry of foreign affairs, the question is will i still need to get my certificates apostilled since my university is in the UK?
If you already went through the British office and foreign affairs you need to get an embassy or consulate stamp on your documents also because you can't apostille in Nigeria. I'll advise you call Korean embassy in your country to find out what to do since your certificates are from outside Nigeria.
Sorry I don't know what NECO is but I guess it's an exam you take in Nigeria. You should try to find out if it equals university entrance exams by calling Korean embassy in Nigeria to find out. I'm not going to say what I don't know.
Hello daddy cliff! Thank you for your videos. Do I need to authenticate the original documents too? Since I won't submit it. Also, I'm from Nigeria, my brith certificate doesn't show the country of my parents, although Nigeria's emblem is on it. Is that enough?
I'm a nigerian when going to nake the photocopied documents original can i go with more that one pieces for example my birth certificate can i make the original pieces of it 3 or it will be one then photocopied ones that doesn't need stamping
If you want to photocopy 3 times and authenticate thats up to you but know it is not free you have to pay. But this scholarship requires one authenticated document and then make 3 copies of the authenticated document if apply for embassy track and just one authenticated document when apply for university track. But you can go ahead and do as you said and use it to appy for other scholarship opportunities in korea because they will also require authentication.
I want to apply for GKSU with embassy track, and I did a exchange program at Hanyang University last year. They give me a certificate of completion at the end of the program. My question is: can I just make simple copys of this document and put un my application?
Hello there, just came across your channel and its really helpful. I'm applying with transcript from KNUST, is the grade point okay or does it need conversion?
How am i going to authenticate my documents. My dad is late and I have his death certificate. Will I go with the original death certificate or photography
Does it mean after collecting your transcripts, birth certificate, letter of recommendation then photocopies all of them, the photocopied documents will get those stamps right not the main document
Sorry you might want to rewrite what you just wrote because I don't get what you are trying to say. Looks like you also have spelling errors like wanting to say providing. Also which scholarship are you making reference to?
The goal of study and detailed study plan , future plan after study, language study plan..all of them I should write full paper? Also the personal statement.. Should I write two papers? And when I write all of them..Can I make gaps between each paragraph? Or it must be line after Line without gaps?
Have you looked at the application form? Every essay answering the different questions has a page limit. Follow the instructions on font size and page limit pleaseeeeee.
Sir I went to Abuja on Tuesday and they told me that they can't stamp my birth certificate at ministry of education that it's only ministry of foreign affairs that can stamp it sir
Follow the rules I didn't make those rules unless you want me to tell you to do it and then not succeed. Go to the university you want to apply to and look at their university rules under gks and follow their process. I can't talk about every university when you have more than 70 universities in Korea under gks. It's your job to decide on your university and their rules for gks. The gks guidelines clearly says if you decide to apply through university track make sure to follow the rules of the university plus those of NIEED.
Please how do I choose the specific university. Because its showing type B, and i don't know how to indicate the university. I'm going through the university track. Please I hope you answer 🙏
I always answer almost everyone but I don't seem to understand what you don't understand and what you are asking as a question when there are many gks videos on my channel showing you how to proceed with your application.
Sir please what are the documents I need to authenticate in Abuja. Am from Nigeria. And am confused about the original copy u said we shouldn't go with the original one
Hey....first of all thank you sooo much for this information.. I have my passport. So do i have to apostile it to prove my citizenship ? + my parents have different documents like one have their voter card and one have their passport, both of them do not have any birth certificate.. So what should i do..pls help sir i am very confuse
To prove citizenship it's either just your birth certificate but it should indicate your nationality and that of your parents. Or your passport and those of both parents. Or certificate of family registration. Or any recognized government documents. No voter card.
Thank you very much. Sir please my question is about the "graduation certificate" In Nigeria we were given original waec certificate as school certificate and then the testimonial, please which one of it should be submitted or is there something different.?
Call them to find out, I can't possibly know the process in every country right? Call, or check their website to see if they have the process written on it.
Hi Please the gks scholarship I want to know if it is limited to a specific course or not ? What are the courses we can sign up for ? Please I need a reply cause I want to apply for the 2024 gks scholarship
@@daddyclif0302 alright thank you and please am currently offering a diploma program and I will be completing next year can I still apply for undergraduate program next year and attach my transcript?
Good day I'm a new subscriber. I really appreciate you giving detailed information about the scholarships in Korea Please sir I have so many questions I would really appreciate it if you could answer them I tried searching on Google but I couldn't get my answers As an undergraduate student I'm planning on applying through the university track but I didn't participate in any extracurricular activities will that reduce my chances? My mom and dad never got married and my mom lives in the U.S but I have my birth certificate with me but it's already been laminated and it's has a stamp on it. It also contains the name of both of my parents is it okay for me? Also we don't use GPA in my school we are graded by A B C not in figures my transcript (leaving testimonials) does not contain GPA what should I do?
Extra curricular activities are important not just for South Korea but for any other country. You should be able to love something or like doing others things in life and not just studies. If you don't have that one but do have others like language certificates it might help and how motivated you are in your writings can also help. What is important is that you have a birth certificate that tells your country of birth and your parents country of birth. I don't understand what you mean by laminated.
You need to get a document from your school explaining the grading of A, B, C because it will help the scholarship people determine your educational abilities.
@@daddyclif0302 Laminated means it already has a plastic like cover all over it to protect it from damages like water. It's normally done when trying to protect a very important document. So sir what if I learn a skill like a hand skill and I get the certificate for it will it be okay? I'm from Nigeria
hello...regarding the documents to submit to the embassy, how many copies of the registration form do i need to make. For example, in the embassy track, i have the chance to be accepted in 3 universities, so do i need 3 different copies of my application form, proof of citizenship, study plan etc for each university and plus 1 copy for the NIIED?
In the case of RL, the teacher will write one and we have to make 3 photocopies of it right??? Do we need to get the sign again from the teachers on the photocopies ?? Hope you get my question.
Letter of recommendation is a secret document that a student is not even supposed to know what the teacher wrote. The teacher should write one and then the teacher signs and then make 3 photocopies before putting the original in one envelope and then put the others also in 3 different envelopes if you are applying for embassy track because it will go to 3 different universities.
One more thing, In my transcript only grades of classes 9 to 12 are mentioned, and no average grades and all so I am worried about that. Is it ok ?? Only grades and marks of every sub are mentioned. The final total % of every class also has not been mentioned in it. So will it be considered as a transcript??
Hey there! I'm from Mozambique and I'm going to apply for GKSU this year. I'm in the las year of high school diploma and i will graduate in December. Can i apply this year?
I can't say if you can apply if you are graduating in December because information about latest date to graduate will only be available on the guidelines documents that will come out when scholarship starts.
It doesn't matter. It's not important others have had the scholarship in black and white others in colors. Those who had it in colors will recommend colored don't worry about it. If you really want to know contact the consular office in your country they will tell you because every consulate office can decide on how they want it to be done. Best way is to call them and ask.
High school graduation certificate and high school grades. I can't tell for sure what those ss1 to ss3 mean but know they want your graduation certificate or document that says you will graduate by December 31, 2024 plus grades document.
@@daddyclif0302 thank you very much though I graduated 2020 so I have my graduation certificate with me just wanted to be sure about the Senior secondary school grades
My university msg me I lack of parent's nationality document ( I posted voter I'd ) which clearly mentioned India. . 2) they asking about conversion certificate. But my university mentioned formula for /100 scale. Why they r asking then ?? But on that scale they stamped which is not clear should I send normal document ??? Oh god help me
Simply put the documents you provided doesn't meet their requirements for them to accept it. Voter ID card I am not sure is above a passport or national identity card.
The next batch starts September and I’m graduating from my Nigerian university that September, do I use my university transcript or which? Please reply.
@@daddyclif0302 okay I wanted to just be sure if it can be from university or must it be my secondary school? Considering the fact I’m applying for the undergraduate program?
@@daddyclif0302 I thought the university was bachelor’s degree? I’m so confused please help me. Which transcript will I submit if I’m applying for the undergraduate program?
Have you ever read the application guideline? What do you think are your chances if you already have a degree or are about to obtain one and want to apply for another undergraduate degree? What are your motivations for that? You better have a very strong motivation for that. If you apply with your high school transcripts that will show you graduated maybe 3 or 4years ago and you will still have to prove what you've been doing after high school graduation to show you've been productive. You need to reflect on this carefully both ways you have to provide a strong reason.
@Daddyclif0302 Hello, new subscriber here, i have been following up on your videos about the gks, and it is very helpful, but i have a question about the graduation certificate. I changed schools while writing my waec and only got my waec certificate. What can i do about the graduation certificate now? Am i to go back to my first school or the school i wrote my waec. I know you're busy, but i really hope you reply
Questions like this you should know your case is unique. First are you applying for embassy or university track. Either options the best solution is to contact your local embassy or visit them and explain your situation. No one in the internet is going to give you a solution other than the scholarship issuing organization. I know it's expensive the whole process but I must be truthful here. Contact either the embassy or school and explain your situation. Unfortunately I don't know waec but I guess it's the west African exams written by some countries. I don't know if they have a certificate and transcript. If not you should get a document from the school that you wrote waec at indicating you did high school there and wrote waec. If possible get other documents also from your old school that shows your academic performance. Let the embassy and university see the documents and then decide which one will be important for them.
Lastly know that your score documents are just a little piece in the scholarship decision process. If the other documents like your essays are a mess forget about the scholarship because that is where they can kind of try to see your reflections and know you better and also know your motivations for the scholarship as well as your determination.
@daddyclif0302 I'm going for the university track So I have to email the university of my choice directly? Also, thank you very much, sir. I appreciate your response
Transcripts have a rule. Transcripts and degree certificates must be authenticated in the offices that are responsible for those services. You must follow the instructions.
Unfortunately I didn't make the rules. It will be wrong for me to tell you something that's not going to help you in anyway and also waste your time and money.
I am so excited to watch your videos because it gives better clarity about this scholarship. Please sir, the birth certificate issued to me has only my name, place of birth, name of the hospital where i was born, date of birth, name of registrar and signature of registrar and has only my parents name without the place where they were born. In this case, can i get a copy of their passport or their birth certificate or what am i suppose to do about this? Thank you sir
My parents are divorced and I have only my mother’s documents and the divorce certificates of course but my documents and passport has my fathers name is it gonna create problem Reply soon please
After you pass documents review. Do you even watch the videos? All these things are on video. I guess it's easy to just ask questions and avoid using your data.
Hey there . Are we supposed to study directly the degree whilst studying the Korean language or do we have to devote a whole year studying Korean only. Asking for ug programs .and what if the the course is in English.Hoping for a reply
Are you seriously asking this question? Did you read the application guideline for you are just depending on the videos on RUclips only? I have a video on why I think students fail the gks scholarship you should watch it before you waste your time and money in the application. You can only try what you wrote here if you applied for embassy and didn't pass even the first round.
@@daddyclif0302 okay I wasn't going to ask the first question.. i know it already that I can apply for both track. my question was for lor mainly. and I subscribed your channel bc your videos are very informative..but that was rude.thankyou for the information though..
Hi, sir i applied to the kgsp this year but i failed at the 2nd round of selection. I want to know if my PhD major is other than my Master major i will be disqualified?
I doesn't matter. What matters is your motivations for your intended major. You need to show beyond doubts your motivations in your essays and during interviews.
If I should give you a reason that will mean I'm a super human being. I don't even know anything about you and nothing even about your application documents. Maybe other applicants were much better than you. I think you should focus on the future. If you really want to go to Korea, try to add somethings to your previous file.
@@daddyclif0302 sir, the problem is that I have a master degree and my master's major is African and post colonial studies and I applied for a PhD in international development and cooperation through embassy track in my country. After the interview I passed the first round of selection and during the interview my interviewer even told me that my personal statement was great. We were 4 to be proposed at niied but I didn't passed that stage. I'm confused I don't really know where I went wrong in my application? I need help for my future application
Like I said there are many things that could have disqualified you. Telling you that you did well is something Korean people will always do because they don't believe in making people feel bad. Even to fail someone at school isn't ok in Korea. Maybe in your case they needed only 2 people from your country for a PhD. There's a lot to look at here. Lot's of hypotheses to be made. There's no one thing to look at. Maybe the others have something that shows they'll be able to adapt fast and study to the end. One real problem is people get scholarship and then abandon studies to focus on making money. They are trying to avoid such things. Join me live on Facebook and RUclips on Sunday 8pm Korean time to get more on this from my perspective I'm just giving my opinion it doesn't serve as any legal advice.
Sir, on my birth certificate it has the name of the city where my parents were born, and the name of my grandparents. Is their birth certificate still needed? I'm worried because my father doesn't have a birth certificate anymore, he only has a divorce document that he uses as a birth certificate. Before he met my mother, he was married before, so in Brazil, when someone gets married, the notary collects the birth certificates of both people.
I’m also confused about something, my parents are not married at the registry office, does the program accept the Declaration of stable union at the registry office as the document to prove the family relationship?
I have the feeling that you didn't care to watch the video because I clearly answered this question on the video. What did you not understand about the birth certificate that I clearly talked about in this video please?
If your birth certificate has information about your parents nationality you don't need to provide their birth certificate or passport I did say so didn't I?
I have a question. Does the English Proficiency Test need to be only TOEFL or IELTS? Can't I send them another well known Test to prove my English skills?
@@daddyclif0302 it's a document used in Nigeria to give each citizen a unique code. They need it to open bank account, buy SIM, even international passport

Your long message shows you do not really know anything about gks scholarship. To give and answer I might have to write one full page. Tell me are you applying for undergraduate or graduate studies?
Unfortunately all these questions are answered on my videos you guys don't watch to fully understand. When application starts they will tell you about graduation date that is acceptable.
@@daddyclif0302 thank you. I also read somewhere if you are graduating in July and you are applying in Feb or March, you have to present a written document stating the date you're graduating then by July 31 after graduation, you submit in your transcript. Is it that way 🙏
Highschool Gap year matters in korea ? Example --- after 10th grade if I take a 2 year gap then I did 11th grade and 12th grade ...it's a problem to take admission in SKY universities ?
If you live in Korea and want to apply know that if you apply through embassy track you have to go deposit at your home country embassy. For documents you can get your apostille from mofa office in Seoul it's an easy process.
@@daddyclif0302 thank you so much! How about if I apply through university track?? Because all documents that I have got them here, so I been thinking if is necessary to make all my documents original again?
@livinginkoreabychantal6993 You get your documents from your school, take them to mofa in Seoul they have lawyers in that office last time I went there, they will have to work on it before mofa works on it, you can then add the other documents and deposit at your intended university. You still have to authenticate it at mofa before you deposit at the university. Except you are applying to the same university you graduated from. It's simple since you are in Korea call the university and ask them the procedure for GKS or just visit the university.
@livinginkoreabychantal6993 To apostille a document in Korea will take you less than 1hour in the office if you don't have too many people so don't stress too much about it.
What if i made 4 copies in a row and authenticated and apostilled all of them ? Isnt it fine too? Bcs they said u should not give a simple copy of the apostille or consular confirmation
Hello, my question is, can i still apply for GKS undergraduate program if i am not an undergraduate? I finished my high school and i have a 75/100 diploma of it, can i still apply only with this diploma?
I don't know if your diploma is equal to a high school completion certificate recognize as a certificate that can get you into university in Korea. You should try to find out if it's equal to a document recognized in Korea.
Hi. I called to my country's embassy to ask about the GKS for undergraduate students but the embassy says that the scholarship is still not open yet. But some universities like Seoul National university, Yonsei university have already open addmissons for the scholarship. So should I wait for the embassy track or should I apply with university track
@@daddyclif0302 I thought of Appling via embassy track. But as the embassy is not giving any proper information I'm afraid that the addmisson dates would expire.
If it's not in English or Korean language you definitely have to get it translated by and authorized translator, you will also provide the documents in their original language with the translated version authenticated.
my father abandoned me and I can't get his birth certificate, would that disqualify me? I have his name on my birth certificate and it's clearly not Korean. (obs: my parents were never married so I don't have a divorce certificate) thanks for your content, it's really helpful
Who said you need your father's birth certificate? Your birth certificate is enough as long as it states your parents nationality and your nationality.
@lostinyourlight6234 If you are too worried the best solution is call the embassy or consulate in your country and ask. I'm not going to give you false hope here. That is why on the application guideline they always provide contact details of Korean diplomatic missions in the different countries.
@@daddyclif0302 i did that and they didn't say anything about it disqualifying me but at the same time i thought it was very vague because they said "if it was issued by the state you were born in it's ok" and nothing about my father's nationality. do you think they saying that, it's okay then?
@lostinyourlight6234 if they told you that, it's ok stop worrying about things like that. That is not what will make you not succeed in the scholarship. Focus on other things like writing a good essay and other things like language ability.
Hey!! Thanks for the detailed information. I am your new subscriber. I am an Indian & I am applying for the GKS-UG2024 program. I have some doubt aboutI the documents. I want to ask something, it's a bit complicated but please please, i will be really thankful to you if you clarify this. SITUATION:-- ~~My parents Don't have their birth certificates & we don't have much time left to get our passports ready for submission till the closing date of the scholarship. ~~Now, I have my birth certificate & it tells the relation b/w me and my family but it doesn't mention my place of birth. The second requirement is to prove citizenship and in India, there is a document named the Aadhar Card which is used for the national identification of a person being an Indian citizen & issued by the government and we all three [ me, my dad & mom ] have it. It has a QR code & the govt. scans it to get the full info about that person from finger prints to face of that person. ~~Also in India Voter ID card is also used as proof of being an Indian citizen and my parents have that too. Now, I want to know that if I put the following together will it be enough to prove the citizenship of me & my parents and our relationship: --> Voter ID card [MOM] + Aadhar Card [MOM] = Proof of citizenship of my mom --> Voter ID card [DAD] + Aadhar Card [DAD] = Proof of citizenship of my dad --> Aadhar Card [ME] + Birth Certificate [ME] = Proof of my citizenship & Relation b/w me and my family I Will be really grateful if you can answer this pleasseeeee.
I understand your situation but remember I'm not the one that is offering the scholarship to applicants. I can only tell you what others did and succeeded. I know birth certificate that contains your information and nationality plus the information about nationality of your parents is 100% accepted. If you don't have that you can use your passport and parents passport. And lastly you can use family registry certificate it has a name in Korean which is pointless to write here. Any other documents I'm not very sure, I'll advise you call Korean embassy or consulate in your country and ask them that is why the application guideline has contact information of all South Korea diplomatic missions abroad.
Please my father died in 2003 and my mom doesn’t have his death certificate. How do I prove his death or can I decide not to? Also if my transcript is not in the form of gpa what should I do?
If you have your birth certificate go ahead and apply. You convert the transcript and then get your school to confirm the conversion with a school stamp on it.
Hi my daughter has been trying to apply this but she can't understand them well .. thanks for this video. Oh again she just found out so she still need time to prepare all this will there still be time?
It depends on the track she is applying for. For embassy track she needs to contact the embassy in your country to know application deadline. For university track she needs to check the university website.
You can also check the embassy website in your country they might already have it there, if they don't yet have information on the deadline you should then call them.

Is there any korean consular in lagos intead of going to abuja. For university track so you will not spend much
I don't know. You should check on Google. Or call them and ask if there's one in Lagos.

Does it mean after collecting your transcripts, birth certificate, letter of recommendation then photocopies all of them, the photocopied documents will get those stamps right not the main document

I want to go through university track, when i legalised my document is it a must to take it to embassy or should sent it to the university direct
If you are applying through university track you have to send it directly to the university.

Good day
I'm a new subscriber.
I really appreciate you giving detailed information about the scholarships in Korea
Please sir I have so many questions I would really appreciate it if you could answer them I tried searching on Google but I couldn't get my answers
As an undergraduate student I'm planning on applying through the university track but I didn't participate in any extracurricular activities will that reduce my chances?
You can convert your grades yourself and then go ask your school to confirm it by putting their stamp on it. You can also convert your GPA.
@@daddyclif0302
Please how can I do that?
@@daddyclif0302
Laminated means it already has a plastic like cover all over it to protect it from damages like water.
It's normally done when trying to protect a very important document.
So sir what if I learn a skill like a hand skill and I get the certificate for it will it be okay?
I'm from Nigeria
Which court are we supposed to go to ,for example I stay in Kaduna ,should I authenticate it in Kaduna or Abuja court

hello...regarding the documents to submit to the embassy, how many copies of the registration form do i need to make. For example, in the embassy track, i have the chance to be accepted in 3 universities, so do i need 3 different copies of my application form, proof of citizenship, study plan etc for each university and plus 1 copy for the NIIED?
Watch this video from start to finish. Link below.

So will it be considered as a transcript??
is it ok to authorize all four documents? I accidentally made four original copies thinking that all of the documents need the stamps.
You can use the others to try other scholarships in Korea rather than waste it for gks if you are applying for gks
Sir, if i sumbit my birth certificate do i need to provide my parents citizens document too or it will manage in my birth certificate
If your birth certificate has information about your parents country of birth then it's ok to submit only your birth certificate.

If I should give you a reason that will mean I'm a super human being. I don't even know anything about you and nothing even about your application documents. Maybe other applicants were much better than you. I think you should focus on the future. If you really want to go to Korea, try to add somethings to your previous file.

@livinginkoreabychantal6993 You get your documents from your school, take them to mofa in Seoul they have lawyers in that office last time I went there, they will have to work on it before mofa works on it, you can then add the other documents and deposit at your intended university. You still have to authenticate it at mofa before you deposit at the university. Except you are applying to the same university you graduated from. It's simple since you are in Korea call the university and ask them the procedure for GKS or just visit the university.

Hey!! Thanks for the detailed information. I am your new subscriber. I am an Indian & I am applying for the GKS-UG2024 program. I have some doubt aboutI the documents. I want to ask something, it's a bit complicated but please please, i will be really thankful to you if you clarify this.
SITUATION:--
~~My parents Don't have their birth certificates & we don't have much time left to get our passports ready for submission till the closing date of the scholarship.
Now, I want to know that if I put the following together will it be enough to prove the citizenship of me & my parents and our relationship:
--> Voter ID card [MOM] + Aadhar Card [MOM] = Proof of citizenship of my mom
--> Voter ID card [DAD] + Aadhar Card [DAD] = Proof of citizenship of my dad
--> Aadhar Card [ME] + Birth Certificate [ME] = Proof of my citizenship & Relation b/w me and my family
I Will be really grateful if you can answer this pleasseeeee.

@@daddyclif0302 can you assist me with the conversion please?
Sir. The original documents we have to get authorized, is it our high school certificate and results or everything?

It depends on the track she is applying for. For embassy track she needs to contact the embassy in your country to know application deadline. For university track she needs to check the university website.

You can also check the embassy website in your country they might already have it there, if they don't yet have information on the deadline you should then call them.
