A person can cry for help and that cry can be heard, but it's not like you can watch a person 24/7 to make sure they don't do anything and sometimes nothing helps when a person gets too far into their head. All it takes is a split second alone for a person to take their own life and it's not a decision they take lightly. They plan it for a while, and then even with support they get to point mentally where not living seems less painful than living and so they end it. Lots of people hate the talk of suicide but it's not selfish, it's usually not because a person isn't being helped or supported, it's a mental health issue that can't be cured for some.

Wither Joseph let me give you a perspective that you may not understand since you seem like you've never suffered from depression. But imagine being depressed, writing a song ABOUT that depression (FYI people with major depression like Chester have a VERY hard time admitting it to others, let alone voicing it to MILLIONS of listeners), then having your album torn to shreds by critics because in Chester's eyes (and most other peoples' like myself), they didn't think it was good enough, or a quick ploy to make money. You opened your heart up and people took a shit on it...how do you think that'd make you feel? You can lie and say you would be unaffected, but I know damn well you would, because you're human. Walk a mile in someone's shoes before you judge them. Judge not, lest you be judged. I'm not one for religion, but that phrase has heft to it.

People didnt like their album one more light just because they thought it was too poppy, but they didnt hear the lyrics, they didnt hear how the vocalist’s technique has progressed and the new things he can do with his voice, they didnt hear the effort and skill that went in to the album because all they heard was pop, and all they thought is that it meant they had gone commercial. This is so stupid because Linkin Park have always been a financially successful band, they didnt need to make more mainstream music to make money and they clearly didnt do it to appease fans, they did it because it was a genre they hadnt really tried yet. I understood every word in "Heavy" from the first time I heard it. I've fought these feelings all my life. "Comfort in the panic" was something that took me a long time to overcome. Like they said, even if something is negative, because it is familiar ,it brings some comfort when you are so lost inside your head ... Chester's taking his own life broke my heart, because I've been there too much of my adult life, but got better.

With mind racing. " I wanna let go but there is comfort in the panic". = I hate this feeling of panic but it's familiar and I believe it keeps me safe. "And I drive myself crazy thinking everything's about me" - It is about ego but in the sense that when you walk into a room you think everyone is talking about you. rumors, things they don't like about you, saying negative things. I know bands do this all the time but you can not replace Chester. Him and his amazing song writing cannot be compared to. I think this is the end of the band but a final tour is a must. Maybe you just have a playback for chester's parts and Mike can hype the crowd up. DO NOT insult this man for committing his act. If you have ever experienced this before you know it is very difficult and suicide is never planned. It is a split decision someone makes in a reaction to a stressed mind. I love you Chester
I came here after Chester died :''( Watching all the videos he made with famous youtubers make me cry because realising hes really gone is just so sad.
I really had made it nicely to the acceptance phase about Chester being gone but hearing his voice again after this video got recommended to me 7 years later after watching The Emptiness Machine one made this a really hard watch.
I think Chester was already struggling here and Mike seemed to felt some sadness, perhaps, just by looking at him.. This song was really intense and emotional and beautifully captured by eternal beloved Chester. 🥰❤
Omg. I love them. And This song is actually pretty amazing and as they say it has that familiar feeling it's just that style is unfamiliar to us and that's why many people say Linkin Park shouldn't have these types of songs. But of course as I said I like this song and I fully support them making more of these types of songs.
Wow, he seemed such a happy cheerful person. And 2 months after this video was made we lost Chester forever. The amazing thing about him was that he could save anyone no matter what l, he just couldn’t save himself. “If I just let go I’d be set free.” Sleep well Chester.
"...comfort in the panic-" - that is me in exam week. If I'm not panicked, I've realised that that means I haven't prepared at all and the breakdown and realisation would be hellish
Seraph Lockhart nah it's like when you allow yourself to freak out about the door not being completely closed so you don't have the time to think about your bad grades. so unfortunate and so unfair how some of the most beautiful and most giving people on this earth are the ones who suffer the most. i don't know what happens when we die but all i hope for is that chester is in the utmost place of peace and painlessness.
I still can't understand how he is just gone now, and after watching this interview its like, he knows he is not right, but yet wants to find hope. I just cant imagine how Mike feel, they were always together
listening to the One More light album just makes me sad, the whole album or most of it are just lyrics that make me wonder where Chester's mind really was
"Who cares when someones time runs out if a moment is all we are" sometimes that moment can be the best moment, sometimes that moment can mean everything, it can mean everything for someone. Everyone cares.
I always took that part, "I know I'm not the center of the universe but you keep spinning 'round me just the same" was talking about depression and how it constantly follows, cornering a person, making it hard leave the cycle pattern. Like, geez I'm not the only prey in the 7 billion people on this planet, go bother someone else.

Sad news... RIP to a legend🙏🏽
:(
Colinㄣ⃒ bro don't say RIP, Legend never die
Still a great band with great music
SIKE
Somali pirate Who pirated your boyfriend nah they SO died after meteora.
Frazzle seem pretty alive to me. Didn't know that dead people could go on to sell the most records as a band this century...
Arron Kay just ignore him. there's nothing much we can say to haters
Damn, it's weird watching this after his death, man. R. I. P beautiful person
Fuck haters,Heavy is amazing, just like all LP songs. They can't make a bad song.
Carniath ye Maybe not the best, but still is good
Nicole Brooks Invisible is great too
Lukwet Gaming Absolutely!
Carniath ye So what? Only _one_ song can be "the best" anyway.
True that
likin park is my favorite rock band
RAP WilliaM.C. Don't be a sarcastic douche
Me too 😊😥
Linkin Park is my life
I know bands do this all the time but you can not replace Chester.
No it wouldn’t work
Bro oh my god i really miss chester:( rest in peace legend hope youre doing great in heaven
I came here after Chester died :''( Watching all the videos he made with famous youtubers make me cry because realising hes really gone is just so sad.
You can see the sadness Mike feels for Chester and his always there trying to cheer him up
I really had made it nicely to the acceptance phase about Chester being gone but hearing his voice again after this video got recommended to me 7 years later after watching The Emptiness Machine one made this a really hard watch.
Chester may Rest In Peace, Chester shall always be remembered as the hero he was.
I think Chester was already struggling here and Mike seemed to felt some sadness, perhaps, just by looking at him.. This song was really intense and emotional and beautifully captured by eternal beloved Chester. 🥰❤
Chester was murdered
I can't even imagine Mike's pain, this hurts my heart and he was his brother. :(
Omg. I love them. And This song is actually pretty amazing and as they say it has that familiar feeling it's just that style is unfamiliar to us and that's why many people say Linkin Park shouldn't have these types of songs. But of course as I said I like this song and I fully support them making more of these types of songs.
Rest in peace, chester!
Bennoda...
Wow, he seemed such a happy cheerful person. And 2 months after this video was made we lost Chester forever. The amazing thing about him was that he could save anyone no matter what l, he just couldn’t save himself.
“If I just let go I’d be set free.” Sleep well Chester.
"If I could just let go, I'd be set free,". You're free now, Chester R.I.P.
The voice is amazing. Didn't know this song is so meaningful
Mike looks exactly the same in this Genius v the new one with Emily.

hope ur doing okay
No girl ever committed a suicide. Bitch sit down be humble
The whole album carries a message .
Phewwww boy when Chester hits those high notes 📝 🎶 👌
"...comfort in the panic-" - that is me in exam week. If I'm not panicked, I've realised that that means I haven't prepared at all and the breakdown and realisation would be hellish
Seraph Lockhart nah it's like when you allow yourself to freak out about the door not being completely closed so you don't have the time to think about your bad grades. When your tooth hurts that long that you want your leg to hurt instead. Relief in another color of frustration. Edit :don't try that method, that's how you get any and every mental disease.
Who else came from the Mike & Emily Genius video of "The Emptiness Machine"
Me, so sad bro but I like how their vibes are similar 😢
1:34 😆...
I just still miss this guy! 🕊️🙏🏻
so unfortunate and so unfair how some of the most beautiful and most giving people on this earth are the ones who suffer the most. i don't know what happens when we die but all i hope for is that chester is in the utmost place of peace and painlessness.
Mike looked a bit concerned in part of the video. R.I.P Chester
I could hear them talk and sing all day.All day.
This is so much better than the non talented rappers who don’t even put effort into their music
i'm crying
2:51 “like Crawling”... there it is again
Can't wait for this album
Jimmy Lynch two days my guy!

I still can't understand how he is just gone now, and after watching this interview its like, he knows he is not right, but yet wants to find hope. I just cant imagine how Mike feel, they were always together
listening to the One More light album just makes me sad, the whole album or most of it are just lyrics that make me wonder where Chester's mind really was
R.I.P. Chester 🙏🏽
RIP Chester.....we'll miss you so so so much😖, we're all praying for you.
I immediately got choked up when he started talking about his daughters Rest In Peace Chester
Chester talking about his daughters is so sad now.
"Who cares when someones time runs out if a moment is all we are" sometimes that moment can be the best moment, sometimes that moment can mean everything, it can mean everything for someone. Everyone cares.
We miss you soooooo much Chester. Rest easy you are extremely loved 💕
we miss you here, chester.. no one compares to that angelic voice of yours🥺
"This is like science!" lol Mike Shinoda will always be one of my favorite people.
Watching this in 2019 makes me cry every time
all their songs has a meaning and i love that
I always took that part, "I know I'm not the center of the universe but you keep spinning 'round me just the same" was talking about depression and how it constantly follows, cornering a person, making it hard leave the cycle pattern. Like, geez I'm not the only prey in the 7 billion people on this planet, go bother someone else.
Linkin Park is the GOAT 🙌
Cooler Man LiNkIn PaRk Is ThE gOaT
Cooler Man hahahahzbs😂😂😂😂
Cooler Man whats a goat?
Dread Me Greatest Of All Time
Saurav Bhattarai lp is a band, em is a rapper
