I stay at Uttara Sector 3. I’ve seen legendary BA Lockheed Tristars coming in my childhood in late 1980s. Their tail fin logo was different at that time. They were pretty much on schedule. My brother used to say, We could even set our clocks by seeing BA. Later I flew on their new fleet in 2006. Afterwards BA stopped operation in Dhaka. Feeling excited to see BA again after more than a decade. When are the next flights coming?
Sadly, I don't think it'll be happening anytime soon, since the Dhaka-London market is oversaturated by competition not only from Biman, but also from the 3 Arab airlines (Emirates, Etihad, Qatar) which provide onward connections from Dhaka to London through their hubs.
Do not post negative comments here. The English accent of Bangladeshi's will not not match british. The point should be is whether Atc is communicating with the plane rightway. Peace.
Man these Bengali ATC controller sounds as if they never went to school or something. No enthusiasm, poor pronunciation, not upbeat at all. Should hire better ones.
It’s shocking to say the least. Problem is the bangladeshi aviation industry is full of middle aged uneducated men and the upcoming vibrant educated young people have no chance of getting a look in!
I am so happy to see this beautiful BA bird in DAC after so long !!! I hope they start the daily flight again and will fly with them in a daily basis. Btw Thanks You so much RBA for capturing it ❤️
It would've been better if British airways still returns to Dhaka, so then any dhaka Passengers from London can use the direct British airways flight to Dhaka immediately while Sylheti Passengers can use Biman Bangladesh
Great Catch bro...I spotted the same plane as it flew over my base LKO.Also today saw the 789 of BA repatriation flight.I got many Biman Bangladesh spottings on my channel Feel free to check em out !
A few questions: 1. Why tower is giving pushback, taxi instructions? Where are ground and delivery controllers? Is VGHS under staffed? 2. Route clearance with SID was given after the aircraft has started it’s taxi? Interesting. Route clearance or modification is done before everything. Pilots needs to get those entered into the FMC to get the performance, flaps, thrust settings. Quite unusual especially because these pilots would want it before pushback since they are unfamiliar with the area and procedures. Did you mix up the audio or did it happen in realtime?
Dhaka airport boarding bridge only capable for lower level of big plane, as FAA law requires within 90 second all passengers evacuate from large aircraft.
@Red scorpion, that's because they are. This Boeing 777 is carrying 2 General electric GE90-115B which used to be the largest and most powerful engine in the world until it got replaced with the new GE9X engines found on the new Boeing 777x aircraft
I’m overwhelmed by BA speedbird at Dhaka airport last time flew in BA Dhaka to London back in 1984 exceptional service quality and timing. Wish they could resume flights to London, Dhaka .

@@lucascalma605 they changed now. British airways is now in competition with Biman currently with the London to Dhaka market. They were about to resume in March last year but was postponed until further notice
VGHS has the capacities to handle an A380, but its limited to the Runway and to some extent to the taxiway. The ground handling is not at all suitable for the A388 as you may know that it requires special boarding bridges and gate structures, and due to its huge wingspan, it falls in the ICAO aircraft size category ‘F’ and because of that its parking distance and the other aircraft that will park into it will probably collide with its wingtip p because there isn’t enough separation as this airport was not built to handle it. Now, things may change with the construction of the new Terminal-3 at DAC. Let’s hope for the best. :)

No dude no😂😂😂 british airways operated to Dhaka for 23/34 years i don't remember exactly . They were operated by 747s and 777s and klm also used their 777s on DAC route

Another legendary video but it was well expected. Legendary Speedbird is here at DAC once again! This was obviously my first time seeing it, and to be honest, beside the livery it did not feel much special to me. Everything thing is seen, and i’ve seen so many pictures of BA’s aircrafts that it looks special to me no more. Anyway liked the aircraft and your hard work filming it. Abir Alvi yes bro, they are sending their Boeing 787-9 today to Dhaka. Aircraft registration is G-ZBKH and flight number is BA9119 currently passing New Delhi, India, en-route to DAC from LHR.
