    My uncle in South Dakota has a neighbor who bought cacti seeds and scattered them in his yard. The ones that germinated have been growing for a few years without issue and it gets so cold and windy there in the winter. I'm too nervous to do that in Wisconsin just yet. For now, I feel safest bringing all of my babies inside.

    I watched some cactus growers from some latin countries, and I was surprised to see every one of them handling and caressing their cactus with bare hands.

    That surprised me how much cold a Trichocereus can take 8°F - 32) × 5 ÷ 9 = -13.33°C
    I knew they can take my winters here at 17f / -8℃ easily. That's great information🙏💞My Echinopsis can take 17f /-8℃ as long as the next day is sunny.

    Hi! I love all your videos, I was wondering since it's been in the high 90s everyday 🔥🥵 and very sunny ☀️, is it better to water my cactus 🌵 at night or early in the morning 🌄 before sunrise? Thank you!!

    • @CactusCaffeine
      @CactusCaffeine  Год назад +1

      Night time is better because cacti do their CAM photosynthesis at night, But I also do it very early in the morning. As long as you water when the temperature has cooled down and the roots are no longer hot, it should take up water better.

    I use chicken manure - I have a chicken, Mrs Featherybottom, and she produces enough manure for my small collection. Chicken poop is only around 2% - 3% nitrogen so it is excellent for cacti or anything else.

      I love the name of your chicken.! 😁 🐓 Great that you have your own consistent supply of fertilizer for your plants. Thanks for the additional info, too.

    I have an Echinopsis and it's been 3yrs..no blooms. I just brought it indoors for the fall and winter season. What can I do now to assure blooming next spring???

    • @SofiaGolden2361
      @SofiaGolden2361 Год назад

      1. Не поливать до 1 марта.
      2. Обеспечить температуру воздуха +5 или +10 градусов.
      3. Светлое и сухое помещение.
      .
      В марте заносите в тёплое помещение, полить и много света.
