I like your "I'll make it fit good enough" attitude. You're not building a show car but are doing some good solid repairs. Like you, I've tried some really cheap patch panels. With more time than money and a bit of patience plus a good welder and hammer, it can be made to work just fine. I have a 57 2-door hardtop that I did a good bit of patching to over the last couple years. Hoping to paint by Spring. Enjoy watching you work. Keep it up!!

When talk about making them fit, an old friend would have said, we don’t ask it, we tell it!

Looking good! I have a little bit of rust to tackle on the trunk lid of my 210 as well. Not looking forward to it. But the floor pan and trunk pan look good

Thanks for the feedback! Deck lid is currently under the knife. Little more tedious than I hoped, but we’ll get there. Video of it coming soon.

You might check out Halfass Kustoms .... Brent has a way of making stuff to make it easier on you. Cardboard is your friend when making a pattern. I don't believe that second hole near the body mount is another mounting hole .... been too many years since I did floors or other on rigs....73 now and totally crippled up so can not do the things I loved to do. I know one thing, until you get all of the toys ie the bead rollers and breaks for metal... tons of stuff that us poor people only wish we had.... I subbed to you so going to check out some of the other videos you might have..... good luck building stuff!

Fitzee’s Fabrications is an excellent channel for making complex repair panels with minimal tools . Check out project Crusty !

Why is he cutting out good metal that just has suface rust?

This is why some feel it's easier in the long run to replace the entire floor. He wants to do the project on a budget. There are downsides to that as seen now. If he chooses to use patch panels, he should have at least bought from a vendor with a reputation for producing proper parts.

When the reproduction guys do all that work to make panels, why dont they do a little more so that they are Right???
